when taylor swift said “if you know it in one glimpse, it’s legendary, you and i go from one kiss to getting married” and when jane austen said “a lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment”

I'm as grateful for cellphones as the next person, but sometimes I think about how everyone having a phone on them at all times really did cause us to loose some things as a society. I mean - for example, kids these days will never experience their car breaking down and needing to find the nearest place with a phone they can use. They're never going to have the opportunity to tentatively approach a house only to discover that it's full of queer people having a party hosted by a transvestite to celebrate his creation of a sex homunculus, stay the night, and loose their virginity while unintentionally partaking in cannibalism. It's tragic, that kind of gay sexual awakening just doesn't happen these days because of cellphones.

“stop invalidating male friendship by calling them gay” how about writers stop treating women as the Main Man’s two dimensional prop with tits while giving the relationship between him & his male best friend the emotional intimacy and development that should have been reserved for his actual romantic partner

thinking about sappho!!! thinking about how she comes alive every time we use the word sapphic!! thinking about how there is poetry embedded in the very act of being queer!!! thinking about how she said the words which she breathed would be immortal and she was right!! we remember!! even in a different time we remember!!!!
#the way we only have fragments of her poems too#but they’re still enough#enough to know we’ve loved each other since the dawn of time and will love each other till the end of it#save us sappho save us#sapphic#wlw
