I am not your fantasy,

I am an experience you can’t conceive

The world has not been kind to you,

And so I will show you kindness,

But do not misconstrue it’s meaning

Today I reconnected with you

Sitting in the car, looking out the window

It’s raining, and cars go by

I think I finally released something that has been weighing me down

For longer than anything else

And I felt the pain and the weight of the world lift off my shoulders

My eyes streaming down my face but I feel at peace

I just want a dog and I just want to write

Even if it wasn’t from before

Even if it’s new

Childhood should not dictate who we want to be tomorrow or today

Just let it flow and don’t force it

When the thought of tomorrow is too overwhelming

Remember to just live in the moment

Sometimes love may be hidden behind your own clouded judgement.

I hope you learn to trust, and accept the love that you’re offered.

In the mundane, and in ways you may not fully notice at first.
