Yoshis new tank is on the way! It’s a lot bigger and she’ll hopefully be happy! She’s been eating well and her tail isn’t showing any more signs of tail rot since the end fell off.
We’ve began at home treatment and gotten her a uvb light, as well as changed up her diet. It’s a bit soon to tell if it’s working just yet, but she already seems happier to me 😁
We are watching very closely, and we are going to take her to the vet if it doesn’t start getting better soon 👍🏻
Thank you everyone who’s helped me out with this, it means a lot 🤧
I’ll keep you guys updated as well!
Hey guys, I need your help.
Recently I’ve been noticing that yoshis tail has been growing darker, and the tip of her tail is extremely dark!
I’m worried it might be tail rot.
She’s the first beardie I’ve ever owned, so I’m not exactly sure how to identify it. I’ve done some research but I just don’t know. Some days it’s darker than others.
I’ve had her for a year now, I don’t know why it would show up now?
She’s never actually had a UVB light. I know she should probably have one, but since I’ve had her for so long and she didn’t show signs of anything until now, I thought it would be fine…
When I got her, the end of her tail was bent. It’s always been that way, but now it’s turned dark and I’m worried.
I feed her mealworms every two days and veggies and fruit every day, with calcium powder on them.
I clean her tank weekly and give her a bath monthly (that’s where she is in the picture, taking a bath) to help with her shedding, which she’s never had a problem from.
If there’s anyone out there who can help me I’d appreciate it. My parents want to avoid going to the vet if at all possible, but if it gets serious I’ll have to.
She seems happy and isn’t showing signs of sickness, but then again, she’s my first beardie, so I’m no expert.
