what should i affirm for respawning?
(Quick note: My internet has been failing on and off all day/night, so I might not have another post up tonight, but hopefully it'll be fixed by tomorrow?? So sorry abt that!!)
Doing the asks a lil out of order, sorry this took so long btw!
Before I start, I’m going to quickly clarify the difference between respawning and permashifting, just to make sure you make the best choice! (Affs and advice included at the end.) :>
.
To quickly remind everyone:
Respawning is shifting and scripting that you completely forget your OR/CR. It is completely cutting ties with your original reality, and is irreversible. IT DOES NOT MEAN DYING IN THIS REALITY!!! A version of you will still remain behind, so absolutely DO NOT give up on life here, or make plans to end your own life! It will not, in any way, help to do that. /srs
(I urgently repeat, do not attempt to hurt yourself or take your own life just because you’re desperate to shift. Dying is a long-term solution to temporary problems, and will only forward pain onto those around you, as well as those you care about. Respawning is not about that. Dying is not part of respawning. Self-harm of any kind is not part of respawning. It will not help. Please, take care of yourselves and stay safe.)
Permashifting is shifting and simply not coming back. You still remember your OR/CR perfectly well, but you just willingly don’t come back. This decision is reversible, should you so choose to come back, someday.
So Respawning is permanent, and Permashifting is reversible!
.
Now that that’s cleared up, affirmations for respawning, permashifting, and regular shifting are generally pretty similar.
Any normal affirmations will work, such as “I am shifting”/”I have shifted”/”I am my desired self”/etc etc. That said, there are specific subliminals for respawning which you might find particularly useful! Since it’s such a big decision, I’d recommend ‘shopping around’ a bit on youtube to find some good, reliable sources (should you choose to use them), such as channels like Slade, Kween Subs, and mxrahki. :>
Something that could also help (and that helps in general with shifting) is affirming things specific to your DR self, but as if they’re already true and present in your reality surrounding you. Examples could include affirming your DR self’s name (like saying “My name is XYZ”) or where you live, as well as where you intend to wake up.
If you’re looking for basic affirmations, though, a good list would include smth along the lines of:
I am in my desired reality. I have respawned into my desired reality. I am pure consciousness. I am choosing to experience my desired reality. I am a master shifter. Shifting is as simple as breathing. I shift often.
Alternatively, some people find it easier to phrase the affirmations like questions! This is also an option to try out, if you believe it could help! Those would go more along the lines of:
Why is shifting so easy for me? Why can’t I stop shifting? Why do I shift every time I try? Why do I always shift on the first try? Why do I shift so often? How am I this good at shifting?
.
TLDR: Shifting affirmations between respawning, permashifting, and normal shifting aren't all that different, as it's still the same process, just with a slightly different end result.
Shifting is also super personal, so experiment and see what works best for you! Hopefully that made some sense?? I'm a little tired, but happy to upload something for you all! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send another ask! :3c

I’M BACK FOR REAL
WELL WELL WELL.  If it isn’t me. Again.
I once more apologize for dropping off the face of the earth for like 3 weeks, I’ve got my life together now! Mostly, anyway~
I’m going to finish off the asks in my askbox (5 in total) and then work on some cool stuff! Maybe make a list of shifting methods, or picrews that’re helpful for DR self visualization, or something! :3c
Idk if the posts will be up tonight or by tomorrow night, but they’re coming! Pinkie promise

hi! i have a question is shifting wrong? i saw an account that says shifting to date/be friends with someone is wrong and that its dehumanizing now im feeling really guilty for wanting to Permashift for my s/o 😭
Aww, no, of course it's not wrong to shift for someone (╥ω╥)
When you shift for someone, you're simply shifting to a reality where you two were already destined to be together. The reality exists whether you choose to go there or not. You're not any more wrong for wanting to experience that reality than you are for wanting to experience any other reality (this one included!)
I believe the idea that "shifting for someone is wrong" comes from the misguided belief some people seem to have that you're creating your DR, rather than locating it. You are not forcing anyone to feel a certain way when you shift, regardless of what you script; nor are you imposing on anyone's free will. You are just finding the specific timeline wherein they already felt/will feel a certain way about your DR self (who, as it stands, is present whether you choose to shift there or not! The relationship was always going to happen, whether you were there to witness it or not. ヾ(´∀`* ))
I can't imagine any way that wanting to spend time with someone could be seen as 'dehumanizing', unless you were shifting solely to upset that person and make their life hell (which I'm assuming you're definitely not, considering you're shifting for an s/o!)
I hope that makes sense?? It's definitely a worry I've struggled with, before, but luckily I've had the resources to learn and understand the situation better :3c I hope you can use this as a resource, as well.

Hello! I have a question about the lucid dreaming method.
so, i have recently started having lucid dreams at night. I think its from the subliminals i listen to, because i haven’t before i started using them to shift.
so in my dreams, i realize that i’m dreaming, and then i try to make the portal. But nothing happens.
A little note: i can’t close my eyes in my lucid dreams because i either wake up or i lose lucidity. So instead i turn around and think of the portal being behind me.
so my question is, since i haven’t really lucid dreamed until recently, does this mean i can’t control my dreams yet and use this method?
sorry this was so long, i just needed to clarify everything. Thanks and please help!
I had a similar struggle when I first started using the lucid dream method, so I totally get that. I also can't close my eyes practically at all in my LDs (TヮT)
Fret not, however, you can absolutely still use the lucid dream method! It'll just take some practice!
Contrary to what some people believe, most people aren't good at lucid dreaming on their first few tries (or even first dozen tries.) Same goes for the lucid dream method for shifting.
.
Personally, my first few shifting attempts via the lucid dreaming method were messy, to say the least! I'd sometimes struggle to summon the portal, or even remain lucid long enough to remember what I was trying to do in the first place. It was slow goings, and I think what made it even slower was trying to shift before I learned to lucid dream.
So, while it's possible for you to still use the lucid dreaming method for shifting at this point, I would recommend taking a slight step back first and focusing on consistently getting lucid dreams (via whatever methods you see fit.) The most common ways to do this are:
Listening to subliminals! (I personally like this and this one!~)
Performing regular reality checks in day-to-day life. (Such as poking your palm with your finger [As, in a dream, your finger will slide right through your palm])
Consume media related to lucid dreaming. (Sounds weird, but it does genuinely improve your chances! Probably because your conscious/subconscious are influenced by things you see in your day-to-day life, so seeing something about lucid dreaming might trigger you to dream about it or remember it in your dreams.)
Now, of course, that doesn't mean you can't attempt to shift via lucid dreams in the meantime, but what it does mean is that it might be more beneficial to you to study the 'fundamentals', as they were, rather than jumping straight to the second half of the equation. Lucking out is all well and good, but if you're trying to set up a consistent method for shifting, taking a moment to better understand what helps you with this, arguably easier, task will help you astronomically in the long run. :3c
So, TLDR, yes you can still use the method whether you're 'good' at lucid dreaming or not but you should focus on getting consistent lucid dreams before you focus on the end goal of shifting with them.
(Additionally, a small tip! Once you know that you're in a lucid dream, start spinning around or stomping your feet. It helps ground yourself in the dream! It may not work the first time, but as I've tried it over my last few lucid dreams, it has worked better and better!)
And don't worry about the ask, it wasn't long at all~!
I hope my answers and advice were somewhat helpful?? ( ◕▿◕ )

hi, baby! new follower here!
just a doubt :
if i write down affirmations on a piece of paper and put it under my pillow, will i 100% shift? (i mean, if i set the intention, ofc)
There is no '100% guaranteed' method that works for everyone, as shifting is such a personal effort, but this could be a good method for you!
Trying methods is all about seeing what works for you and what doesn't, whether you take them in their entirety or piece by piece!~
That being said, this method you're referring to is called the 'Pillow method', and is a great method for people who struggle to visualize, but are good about setting intention. It's very simple, and a lot of people find great success with it!
If that's a method you want to try, I recommend giving it a try at least 3-4 times before you try anything else. Who knows, you could nail it on your first shot and shift right to your DR! :D

i know this is a silly question to ask to a shifting blog but is shifting like real and not lucid dreaming? i wanna shift so bad but tiktok is saying how its all in your head and the reality doesnt exist and it makes me so upset shsbsh😭
I completely understand the concern. Seeing demotivating stuff like that on tiktok is super sucky 😭😭
I can assure you, though, that shifting IS real. Having mini-shifted once, and lucid dreamed MANY times, I can tell you that the two experiences felt completely different. (I also have quite a few friends who have shifted who can back this up!^^)
When you shift, everything in that reality feels just as real as this reality (because it is!) The weight of your footsteps, the feeling of breath in your lungs, the fatigue you get from running around, it's all completely real.
I think a lot of people doubt it because it sort of sounds too good to be true, or because they gave up before they ever shifted (or, as was my case before I began to believe in it, they never tried it.)
I know how demotivating those "it's all in your head/lucid dreaming/fake" posts can be, which is why I generally try to avoid them (I usually block the accounts, since the videos are also just kinda mean?? a lot of them just make fun of shifters :( )
Just don't give up hope, yeah? Don't focus on how long its taken, or how long you worry it might take. Overcomplicating it and worrying could very well lead to it taking even longer. So long as you don't give up hope, and you keep your belief intact, you will, eventually, shift. Whether it's your first attempt, or your 100th attempt; Everyone's journey is different, but each one will, eventually, end with you shifting to your desired reality. The wait will have been worth it. All you need is one successful try to prove to yourself, forever, that shifting is real <3
(I hope that helped, somewhat?? I'm a little sleepy atm so I'm not sure if my words are all coming out right!!)
<3 Happy Shifting, and Good Luck! <3

Hey! tell us more about yourself id like to get to know u :DD
Sure thing! I'll do my best, anyway!~ (Under the cut bc I ramble a bit haha!)
So, the basics! My screen name is 'Sunny', my pronouns are he/they, and I'm 20 years old! I just recently had my 20th birthday (like 2 months ago), so I'm also an Aries!
I'm bisexual, non-binary, and polyamorous (or at least open to the idea of it!)
(Here is the picrew link) I look a little something like this! Although my hair irl is quite different, as the sides and back of my head are shaved short (sort of like a mohawk, I guess?) I'm also 5'5.~
Tumblr media
.
I have quite a few hobbies, including drawing, scripting (for DRs/shifting in general), videogames, and occasionally writing super purposefully garbage fanfic (it's so fun to watch my friends' horrified reactions at the awful crackfics I write.)
I enjoy a good number of medias, anything from itch.io dating sims (I have tons of recommendations on that front) to Fallout: New Vegas. I really favor RPG games, though! Undertale, Cattails, Fallout, Sun Haven, Rune Factory, all that good stuff. I'm also a pretty big fan of pop punk and rock music <3
I really love animals, and have 4 cats (Crybaby, Karkat, Steven, and Padparadscha) and 2 dogs (Pascha and Pixel.) I also really love the snakes around my house (little garden snakes), but those aren't technically my pets, haha!
I tend to spend my time on discord, chatting w/ friends about shifting, games, pretty much anything that comes to mind. When I'm not doing that, though, I tend to be reading, sketching, or napping.
I've currently got 39 desired reality scripts (Might make a post abt those later!), spanning a variety of medias that I enjoy. As said before, I've only mini-shifted (and not to a DR), so I haven't yet experienced these for myself, but I'm super excited to!
My primary DRs atm are Obey Me, Spiderverse, and my Comfort Waiting Room. (I've got 3 different WR scripts, so I like to differentiate them~)
I hope that can suffice for the moment? Whenever someone asks me to talk about myself, I always draw a blank, like I've forgotten every hobby I've ever had haha

OMG HIHI! AHHHH I really missed seeing u active on ur page since u grew to be my fav shifting acc 😭 DONT APOLOGIZE IM JUST GLAD UR OKAY, how’ve you been? 🫶🏼
KSDFJJLKDN I didn't think anyone would notice me dropping off omg (Also i'm bumping this one to the top ahead of the other asks real fast just so I can assuage any worries!! Promise the rest of the asks will still be answered <33)
I'm so happy you like my account so much!!! /gen 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Things could definitely be better;; got some really bad medical news for my grandpa :( so we're all spending as much time with him as we can. (Hence why I've been gone the last 2-3 weeks, real stressed abt it.) Gonna see him later today, actually, before I go and see my other grandparents^^
Plus all the struggle with finding a job (sooo many places want you to be 21+ or able to regularly lift 50+ pounds, neither of which I can fulfil. I've got money saved up, though, and a reliable and safe place to live, so dw about me!!)
Other than that, I've been scripting like crazy. I just scripted my 39th desired reality 😭😭which is a little nutty to think about, but super fun, regardless! I scripted all sorts of goofy DRs (including a cowboy au of Obey Me), and managed to get pretty close to shifting on a few different nights! I'm still relying on the lucid dream method, so I'm trying to boost my dream recall as well (bc I heard that helps^^.)
I'm glad there's still interest in my blog~ I've never had people notice my absence before haha!
I'll be answering all my other asks here soon, as well as posting some more stuff related to shifting (maybe some scenario ideas or another template? Both are pretty fun!) so hopefully everyone can enjoy those! <3
Blblblbl sorry for rambling a bit, but TLDR, I'm stressed but mostly happy! I've got a lot of good things to keep my mood up^^ (Not to mention the exciting changes being on testosterone is bringing!)
Thank you for asking how I am <33 I hope you're doing well, too!!

hello! i have a question, can you explain clones and how they work?
(Answering the oldest asks first! Please forgive any unclear bits, I wrote this right before I took my little break~)
Sure! Sorry this took so long, I was having a break from the blog to deal with some IRL stress <3 yk how it is haha. Regardless, I’m happy to share my thoughts on the topic!
Clones are quite the contentious topic within the shifting community, but I’ll do my best to explain it, anyway~
'Clone' is a non-literal term for the version of oneself that remains after you've shifted.
They are, all things considered, just another version of your consciousness.
But how does something like that even work?
.
As stated earlier, the version of you that remains after you've shifted out of this reality is often referred to as a 'clone', though that's not an entirely genuine name for what they truly are!
Your consciousness is infinite, spread across the equally infinite multiverse of existence. Each version of you, across any reality, has a consciousness just like your own (When shifting, we actually merge with our DR self's consciousness, rather than taking it over/filling out an empty spot! Pretty cool, huh?) As such, when you shift out of this reality, something has to fill in the gap. This is where 'clones' come in!
Clones are, in truth, just other versions of oneself. Given the infinite nature of one's own consciousness, it's not too hard to leave behind another version of it to take care of things in your absence.
(For lack of a better example, think of your consciousness as an infinite water source (the 2x2 sort) in Minecraft. No matter how many buckets you take out (or universes you spread yourself across), there is always more to replenish it.)
.
So now we know what clones are, technically, but what do they do?
Well, they do whatever you would’ve done! Your clone is literally just you. If you would’ve spent all day playing videogames, so would they. If you’d normally be working or doing chores, they aren’t going to flake on them just because you’re not there to witness it.
Sunny, it can’t be that simple- and yet it is.
Clones are one of the woefully over-complicated topics of the shifting community, and something people tend to focus on way too much at the start of their journey (not that I’m discouraging asking questions! Quite the opposite!) They are also one of the topics that tend to get quite a lot of misinformation spread about them, which I’m happy to help clear up^^
As such, I’ve got a little FAQ here to assist!~
.
FAQs
Why are they even called 'clones'? (And is there a better term for them?)
Though I’m not 100% certain on where the term originated, my best guess would be early shifttok (think the Draco shifttok era.) Most likely, someone came up with the term off-handedly, not intending for it to be the official term (or generally not thinking too hard on it), and it simply stuck with the community long-term.
As for there being a better term, it sort of depends on who you ask! Some people just call them other selves, some people don’t give them a name, it’s really up to the individual. Personally, I only refer to them as ‘clones’ within the confines of the script, and when discussing them outside of that context, I refer to them as “other selves” or just “me”.
.
What happens to them when you/I shift back?
Same thing that happens when you shift to your DR! You merge with your ‘clone’/other self. This is why you end up with all the memories that your ‘clone’ had created in your absence (if you were gone long enough for them to go around and do things.)
.
Am I a clone?
If you’ve got the wherewithal to question this, then the answer is probably no. Were the answer to be yes, it still wouldn’t matter, as clones can still shift, and are equally as valid as the other consciousness that they split off of.
.
Can I script changes to my ‘clone’?
Unless you’re manifesting in addition to everything else, then the answer is probably no. That is, unless you plan on shifting to a new “base” reality (aka a new CR), wherein you could reasonably script whatever you liked.
If you plan on returning to your regular CR/OR, though, then the answer is no. If you wouldn’t normally get straight A’s or workout daily, then scripting that your clone will won’t do anything, as they have just as much free will (and motivation to do those things) as you do.
.
Does my 'clone' know that I've shifted?
For some reason, this seems to be an extremely contentious question within the shifting community. To keep things simple, it seems to vary from person to person. Some shifters claim that their clones are aware enough to write down various things about their shift, some shifters claim that their clone had no idea. Personally, I was asleep for my whole mini-shift, so my clone didn’t really have the time to do/think anything. (I will happily update this section once I’ve fully shifted, however!~)
.
I hope those answers helped in some capacity! Like I said, I wrote this all right before I took my break, so it might be a little fuzzy. I was pretty tired that day :<
I'll be getting around to all the other asks in my inbox (8 in total) within the next few days! (Today included!) I'm attending a birthday party later today, so I won't be back for a good few hours, but once I am, I'll get right to work on those asks! If I find the time, I'll try to work on them while I'm at the party!~ (If anyone's curious, it was my nephew's second birthday a week ago! This is his second party, as my dad couldn't attend the first one, so it's a lot smaller and more casual :3c)
Happy to be back! And as always-

how long have you been into shifting? :0
Honestly, I only got into shifting in early February of this year!
Prior to that, I was extremely skeptical/outright dismissive of the idea of shifting. It just sounded so incredible that I couldn't really believe it??
After watching some very lengthy and detailed storytimes/accounts of shifting (mostly Shimmey Shay, Kristeau, and Cass Relf), however, my tune changed (definitely also encouraged by a deep and sudden connection to one of my comfort characters.) I already believed in the multiverse, so this actually didn't stretch too far outside of what I already believed. It just sort of... clicked? All at once? To where my conscious/subconscious was absolutely certain about the legitimacy of it (I have a bit of a habit of realizing things all at once, rather than over time, hehe^^)
So far, I've minishifted once (a few weeks back, maybe a month at this point?) and I've gotten awful close to a full shift in the last few days.~ :3c

this may be a dumb question but how does shifting work? like i believe its possible but i wanna know how its possible 😶‍🌫️
Not a dumb question at all! In fact, that's a really, really good question that I'm happy to share my opinion on!^^ :D
Shifting is not an exact science, nor is it something that everyone can inherently agree on the logistics or inner workings of. I can, however, provide my own take on it!~ Prepare yourself, though, this is definitely gonna be a long post.^
(Additionally, I will be sharing five tips that helped me on my shifting journey <3)
.
(This can easily twist into something very difficult to explain, so I'll try to keep it as simplistic and accessible as possible.)
From how I gather things, shifting is the practice of becoming aware of your consciousness in another reality, and then 'moving' (not literally) from your OR/CR to your DR/IR.
Of course, there's more to it than that! We want to know how it works!
Shifting, generally, works by convincing your conscious/subconscious mind that you are already exactly where you want to be (or are on your way there.) In doing this, you are aligning your consciousness with the version of yourself that you desire to be (your DR self!)
Something that can help to explain this is the law of assumption, popularized by Neville Goddard; the 'law of assumption' refers to the belief that your beliefs, positive or negative, determine your reality. By making use of this principle, whether we're aware of it or not, we are able to shift across realities!^^
"It can't really be that simple, can it?" It can, and it is! Shifting is a very simple task, all things considered (though simplicity does not equate to how easy it is to perform.) Related to that talk of difficulty, it's important to acknowledge that everyone's shifting journey is wildly different. Some people shift on their first try, some people shift after three years, it all depends on the individual. It's important to keep a positive mindset and figure out what works for you. To help a little with this, here's 5 things that helped me with my journey~
Stop comparing your progress/journey to someone else's- They are not you! What helps you shift could be completely different from what helps someone else. You should not be forcing yourself to adhere to the rules and constraints of someone else's journey, as it will only end up slowing you down in the long run. Find what helps you. If other people's methods or tips work for you, great! If not, don't force yourself to use them! Speaking of methods...
Don't rely so heavily on methods- Now, what exactly does this mean? I want to be clear, I'm not saying that you shouldn't use methods! What I'm saying is that you shouldn't place so much importance or emphasis on the method itself. Methods aren't actually necessary for shifting! They're simply used to build confidence for an attempt, or to help you focus! The method is NOT what makes you shift. YOU are what makes you shift! By placing so much importance on the method, you're distracting yourself from making actual progress and focusing on things that could actually be helping you to shift (such as connecting to your DR, scripting [If you want to, as this is also not necessary!], or just taking care of yourself and your sleep patterns [if you're using sleep methods.])
Take breaks- I promise, you will not lose progress if you take breaks. In fact, taking breaks could be really good for you! Attempting to shift daily/nightly can be absolutely exhausting, due to how mentally draining the process can be (due to the amount of focus or energy people tend to put into it), so taking breaks is darn-near essential. Coming back to things with a refreshed mind (after the break) can also lead to better results, as you may return with ideas or revelations that you were too stressed or too tired to have had prior to the break! However, don't just take breaks for the sake of benefitting your shifting journey. You should also be taking breaks to benefit yourself. Your health, your comfort, your ability to function, all of that comes before shifting, always. <3
Don't bother with anti-shifters or their rhetoric- If you're anything like me, seeing anti-shifting rhetoric can be quite the mood or motivation killer. Not to say you shouldn't ask questions about shifting, or ignore people who do, because that's absolutely not the case! What I'm referring to when I say "anti-shifting rhetoric" or "anti-shifters" is people who interact with the community in bad faith. This refers to people who accuse shifters of being delusional, having mental disorders, or simply calling them 'stupid'. These people are not interested in actually discussing anything, and there is no point in interacting with them, as they're more often than not already completely set in their ways and uninterested in actually learning about shifting or hearing anybody out. As such, there's no reason to burn yourself out trying to talk to them, or even acknowledging their posts/comments. It's only going to demotivate you :(
Relax and stay positive- The most common sort of advice when it comes to anything of this nature, but nonetheless extremely important. It's crucial to remind oneself to relax, and to take things at one's own pace. This relates back to tips 1-3, but is still important enough to be said on its own.^^ There is no rush, no time limit, nothing of the sort. The reality you're attempting to shift into isn't going anywhere, it will not slip away from you simply because you haven't yet shifted there. It will be there, waiting for you, no matter how long or how short your journey is. A way of looking at it that really helped me (think I saw it on tiktok or youtube? Please someone tell me if they know what account it was from!) is that each shifting attempt is a single step up a staircase. Some staircases have ten steps, and some have one hundred steps. What they all have in common is that they all end. Keep taking things, one step at a time, and you will eventually reach your goal.
Whew, okay, that was a lot. I hope that helped, in some capacity? It took me a lot longer to write than I thought it would, haha. Sorry I sorta hijacked your ask to elaborate on some other stuff, but I thought it would be helpful, nonetheless!~
Feel free to send another ask if you need any more clarification, alright? I'm always happy to help :)
<3 Happy Shifting! <3

Hi! I don’t know if this is a question you get asked often but i saw this somewhere.
So, as each of us are all our own individuals with thoughts all across the infinite universes, what happens to the “you” once you shift to your dr? Don’t they have their own awareness and you’re taking over it with your own or does it like merge or something? Or do we all just one single awareness and the others don’t. Tiktok really confuses me because this is a big topic going around shifttok 😅 People are constantly saying the other versions of us don’t have an awareness but have a consciousness but some are saying we all have awareness all across the multiverse. It’s giving me a crisis because i want to figure out, does it merge or what 🥲
Does this make sense? 🥹
Once you shift to your DR, you merge with that version of your consciousness! It's pretty cool, actually!
Additionally, once you've shifted there, you gain all the memories and knowledge that your DR self has/had (further adding credence to the idea of your consciousness merging with your DR self.) Were it to be the case that one was taking over another version of their consciousness (rather than merging with it), I don't believe you would gain their/your memories, which definitely helps to support the earlier point of merging^^.
Every other version of you across any reality has always had a consciousness/awareness like your own (honestly, why would this reality be any more special than the others, and be the only one where you held awareness? /nm /gen) whether they are also aware of shifting or not. When you shift, you are merging with that consciousness, and acknowledging a version of yourself that has always existed.
And yes it makes perfect sense, don't worry! (Unless I've misinterpreted it;; 🥹) I've had these concerns before, myself, and it really helps to have some reassurance on the topic^^
If I misinterpreted it or wasn't clear enough, feel free to send another ask! (Again, hectic week, so my brain's not fully on the ball, haha!)

hii! how are u?
so i have a few questions <3
1. I wanna script me and the people in my dr don’t age at all at a certain year but i feel like i have to get specific and explain why it works that way. Do you have any advice / recommendations?
2. Is it true that all the realities are completely separate from one another and none of them are an “original” reality? Because I’d really like for it to be that way since i see it as really cool + comforting :D
3. If i script something like “__ is the exact same in my dr as it is in my cr” would it work? or would it be basing my dr off of my cr rn?
4. do i have to specify anything? like the details of the world and all that
have a great day!! i hope this isn’t too much to answer, i find comfort in your responses and your account in general <3
I'm doing really good!! Thanks for asking^^ :3c
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, but I'll be chucking 3/4 of them under the cut, just to make it easier to scroll through for people trying to scroll my blog^^
You actually don't have to be specific about why this is, but if you want to, I have a few ideas! First idea is, of course, just scripting that people don't visibly/physically age after a certain point, or if they do, it's delayed by quite a bit (this pairs nicely with scripting extended lifespans^ which is something I do semi-often.) You could also script that visible age is tied to specific milestones (like how it works in Undertale, wherein monsters don't age past a certain point/die unless they have children.) Again, though, you don't actually have to specify why or how people don't age, as it would already be considered totally normal/understandable if you simply scripted in that that was how things already worked. An example of this in action would be similar to how some people script that periods don't exist. Nobody within the DR wonders where they are, or why they don't happen! It's simply the norm.~ .
"Is it true that all the realities are completely separate from one another and none of them are an “original” reality?"
. 2. From my view, yes! All realities, no matter how overlapping or similar, are all disconnected from one another in the sense that there is no 'original' reality amongst them. This isn't to say, however, that you or I are completely detached from these realities. Far from it! Whilst the realities are disconnected from one another, they still occupy the same space as one another. We are just as close to our DRs as we are to our OR/CR.
This one is a little trickier to give an example for, as the concept can be hard to wrap one's head around at first glance. The way a lot of people choose to view DRs is that they are physically or mentally distant from themselves, as if there is some quantifiable distance preventing them from being in direct contact with their DR. This, however, is not the case! Your consciousness is constantly overlapping with other versions of your consciousness across DRs (hence why some people even end up shifting accidentally), so much so that during a shifting attempt, you are typically only seconds away from shifting completely. Often, however, people are held back by their limiting beliefs, or their fears (not to say you can't shift with these, you absolutely can, it's just harder.)
All that to say that yes, all realities are separate, but not all realities are distant from one another.^^
.
"If i script something like “__ is the exact same in my dr as it is in my cr” would it work? or would it be basing my dr off of my cr rn?"
.
3. Yes, scripting like that will work! :) Scripting is not as all-or-nothing as some people might worry that it is. You can totally just take what you like, and leave what you don't!^^
An example is smth I actually scripted today! I scripted that I maintain my distinctive birthmark (on my ankle, looks pretty neat!) across all my DRs/DR selves. I could have a completely different appearance, with a DR utterly unconnected to my OR, but I can still maintain one or two (or however many I wanted, tbh) aspects from my OR/CR!
.
"do i have to specify anything? like the details of the world and all that"
.
4. You can be as vague or as specific as you'd like with your script! Your subconscious will pretty much always fill in the gaps, as it already knows perfectly well where you're intending to go. Even so, if you're worried, you can just script like "everything is like it is in X media" or "everything is how I envision it." Of course, things are liable to be a bit more unexpected/prone to surprising you the more vague you are, but most often not in any major ways.
An example being if you were to script a Stardew Valley DR, and you weren't super specific beyond being in Pelican Town. In all likelihood, everything will still be laid out the same, with the same people, and the same sort of atmosphere. It's not as if you'll accidentally shift to a version where everyone is evil, or where the environment would be hostile.
If there are specific things you'd like to add on, though, that aren't typically part of canon/the reality's normal rules, I do recommend scripting those specifically, just as a precaution! (Example, scripting in a yearly dance at UA or RAD.)
.
You have a great day, too! <33 It was really fun answering all these questions! It really makes me happy that people can take comfort in my account and the answers I try to provide <3 /gen
If you need clarification on anything, don't hesitate to send in a follow-up ask, okay? I'm happy to help in any way that I can!
