Rewatching Lost (spoilers ahead) and I need someone to explain Charlie’s death to me… like why did he shut the door? If it had stayed open the whole place would’ve taken a while to flood, him and Desmond could’ve both gotten gear and swam up… even if they couldn’t get gear, it’s quicker to swim up than down and they made it down with no gear?? And then even if he was determined to keep Desmond safe, he still could’ve swam out the porthole window that got blown open and at least attempted to reach the top! It just makes no sense to me logistically…
