Obsessed with how Cub has made the worst move possible out of a petty desire to make his prisoners (essentially) suffer more, rather than A - mobilise to stop Cleo's escape attempt, or B - try to catch the people he was hunting for. He instead effectively reverted the POE to their pre-Cub form and appointed a man who would rather do nothing than do anything at all to be in charge. This is literally the most invested I've been in Hermitcraft since the Mycelium Resistance, I love it so much

Trans fem botw link is so real to me because his whole story is about like: You are a boy. Raised into a knight. Made for the service of a princess. Any failure to do what you were raised, molded, and grown for will result in her death. You don't have time for emotion. Or speech or anything but the job you were assigned from birth. Like canonically he literally doesn't talk to zelda because this is what's been drilled into him.
And then he dies.
And he spends 100 years asleep, healing, losing himself. And she comes out, and suddenly is full of whimsy. All of her dialog options have a snark to em. She eats whatever she wants, fights only if she desires, goes and does all kinds of shit just for her. She explores the world at her own pace, taking time for sidequests and stuff even though there's a path she could take to get her old life back so quickly. She never acknowledges that she is the Hero of Hyrule to anyone who wasn't there. Cause that man is dead. And yes, of course she still cares for her Princess, but the cold closed off Hero Knight is gone. Now she's herself, with all that entails, the good and bad. The emotions, the whimsy, the sadness, the action, the calm. It's for herself. Not the King. Not the Legend. Maybe for Zelda. But it's for Link first and foremost.
And BotW is a tragic story, there is such tragedy in it, but even in tragedy joy can bloom!! Its tragic it took the apocalypse to give her the chance. It's tragic her friends will only know the new her as a ghost, much like how she used to be a ghost of her true self. But it's joyous that she was given the second chance. That she could take the reins of her destiny and start it anew, form new relationships, keep some hold of the old while building the new. Start a new life with Zelda, who was similarly crushed by her destiny, who can only now find her true self (perhaps not as a princess?) and they can find themselves together
