oh Walt giving Vincent to Shannon before he boards the raft got me good. Because it's that innate human need to ease others suffering. That Walt can not only see that Shannon is hurting but recognizes she's hurting in a similar way he had, he does, since his mom died. That he knows what it's like to want to talk but not knowing how or to whom. How he knows she needs help and how he knows it's hard to ask for it. But also the trust. For Walt to be able to trust Shannon with Vincent, who means so very much to him, and for Shannon to be trusted. To be seen as capable. And the purity of that trust. Nothing in return except to care for each other. For this animal who will rely on Shannon and learn to love her unconditionally
