Amal and her family have been displaced ever since the military came and told them to evacuate from their home. Amal's daughter, Maryam, is less than 2 years old. She has spent the majority of her life under the conditions of this assault on Gaza by Israel.

I stood in line for a long time hoping to fill my bottles and return to our tent with enough water, but the number of bottles was overwhelming and I couldn’t get a single drop. I returned to the tent feeling frustrated, wondering how this life can go on? There are days when all I find is hunger and thirst, and sometimes I wish my suffering would end somehow
