just seems a little double standard that louis posted a nasty comment on twitter about how all these conspiracies piss him off and hurt him. but then he comes back and posts something cryptic that he wants fans to be speculate and conspire about. but i guess the rumors are only bad if they're gay, right?

finally someone said it. I’m having a hard time enjoying lt3 “promo” right now because of how “louis” has been acting toward fan. He hates conspiracies and speculation when it’s inconvenient for him but when he/his team don’t want to do promo they love it. They love when fans look into the deeper meaning of things and speculate on album tiles and when announcements will happen, but if it is speculation about his public “relationships” , not ok. I feel very used. If some want to argue his twitter is meant for promo purposes, then why did he have to tweet about how toxic his fans are? He could have just stayed off social media until he needed us. He did not need to paint a bigger target on fans back. if some argue that is it not Louis and his team did this- he is a grown man and I do not think he has no control over things anymore. acting like he is still the 18 year old in One Direction is not helping anyone.

no celebrity should be above criticism. i've said that before and i still stand by it.

The fact is, Louis is an adult celebrity who uses his social media for promotions and also to engage with fans on a 'personal' level. If he doesn't like people prying into his life, then he shouldn't present so much of his personal life to the public. Meaning, he should have protected Freddie's face and kept private about his romantic relationships because people are going to be generally curious and chatter about them. He's not unique in this.

And yes, part of this is about Larry but part of it also is the way in which Louis presents himself and his image. And pointing fingers and saying 'oh well some of you' only stirs up fighting and discontentment in the fandom as a whole. Why would you encourage that negativity in a fandom that is supposed to be based around unity and acceptance?

Louis didn't have to share that tweet. He could have done what any other person could have, taken a step away from the social media and put up some boundaries that he could maintain. And if he sees something online or someone saying something online that is horrible or defamatory, he can either choose to not engage with it or block it. But I really think he would benefit from not using twitter anymore because all it does is piss someone off - including him.
