South Africa is a country that has a lot of incredible subcultures, among these are:
Smarteez:
The Smarteez are a group of fashion designers, they dress in colorful and bright and uneven clothes to make their statement. Their belief is that they are born to be free, so they express what they want and always want to draw attention. They use the fashion for express their culture.
Kom Ons Braai:
Is the best-known subculture of all, and began mainly among white Afrikaners. From there it has spread throughout all cultures and is now more a social phenomenon. South African braai is unique and fun because it can last hours and all different types of meat are cooked on it at the same time.
Skate Punks:
They are part of a countercultural movement that has taken root in Soweto during the last decade, they perform metal and punk acts throughout Johannesburg. They meet in parking lots where they take pictures and record videos to publish them. They want to inspire children about art and believe that they give life to the places that go.

THE HOFSTEDE MODEL FOR CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING
This model has a variety of components that allow to understand the culture of an especific country. In this new post South Africa is one of the protagonists. The other is Colombia. Well.. the first componet is: Power Distance Index, South Africa and Colombia have more power distance index. In Both countries the less powerful members of a society accept and expect that power is distributed unequally. Second, South Africa is an Individualist Society. Similarly; Colombia is more individualism too. It means that the society in those countries are expect to take care of only themselves and their families.
About the masculinity and femininity, South Africa has a high score in this dimension, therefore is a masculinity society such as Colombia. therefore, Colombia is shown to be an Indulgent country. Also, South Africa has a culture of Indulgence.
Another component is Long term orientation VS short term orientation, South Africa is a country that has a low score in this dimension. Because they prefer to maintain time- honoured traditions and normms while viewing societal change with suspicios. Likewise, Colombia has a low score.
Finally, about the Uncertainty VS avoidance index (UAI) South Africa present a strong UAI. Also, Colombia has a high score in Avoiding uncertainty.

ICEBERG
Hi all! in this new post will show the cultural diversity of this wonderful country south africa. Based on the iceberg model, we can mention several aspects that belong to the visible part. First, The food ,there are several types like Amasi : Acid milk. Frikkadelle, meatballs, Koeksisters : a type of candy. Another aspect is the music, in Africa there is music of genres like Drum&Bass, Kwaito, Afrikaans, Trance psicodélico y Metal. Also the Flag, wich consists of two horizontal bands of equal width in red (top) and blue separated by a central green band that divides into a horizontal "Y" shape. The arms of this Y end in the corners of the left side. The "Y" surrounds a black isosceles triangle, in which is the band of the yellow ones. The Festivals: Cape Town Jazz Festival, Splashy Fen, Festival de Oppikoppi and the Human Rights Day. About the Language , South Africa has eleven official languages, for example: Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Pedi, English, Tswana, Sotho, Tsonga, Swati, Band and Ndebele. Last, the dress, African clothing is known for its wide variety of decorative prints and bright colors. They wear The "caftan", the "danshiki" and traditional costumes like wearing a blanket over the shoulders and a long skirt.
Now, in the non-visible part, there are aspects such as the religion: South Africa is a secular state with a diverse religious population. Christianity, especially in its Protestant forms, predominates.
Body language: Greetings with both hands at the same time is a sign that you do not have hidden weapons, so you're being nice. And Body language is a useful interaction tool, but in general nonverbal cues are not important in conversations.
Finally, about the gender roles, the woman is inferior to the man in many aspects of her life, she is discriminated. Also, Women still depend on their husbands to live, they are responsible for carrying out the work of housewife. Men are the ones in charge of getting the money and society is patriarchal, encourages polygamy and stimulates the power of men.
I hope you liked it! :)

How to categorize South Africa
Hi! in this new post i want to let you know the way that South Africa could be categorize based on the Lewis model. There are so many things of this country that are also caracteristics of the “multiactive culture”, for example:
- The people of South Africa are extrovert, flexible, also they do many things at once often in an unplanned order, it means that they are multitasking.
However, this persons present another caracteristics belong to another type of culture called “ Reactive” These are:
- They rarely initiate action or discussion. They listen to the other first, establish their position and then can formulate their own.

Stereotypes:
There are many stereotypes about Africans, in this post i want to mention one of the most popular of them:
- “Afrikaners all live on farms, huts, and the country has an poor arquitectonic”
This is an idea that a lot of people have, however, it could be shown that it is not totally true. For example, Herbert Baker, one of the most influential architects in the country, designed the buildings of the Union in Pretoria. Which show good architecture. Other notable buildings include the Rhodes Memorial and St. George's Cathedral in Cape Town, and St. John's College in Johannesbur.
Also you can see a modern house wich show a different way of arquitectonic and not what mayority of people think about it!
