Character thoughts: I don’t even know where to start. Im gonna love MSR in any context, but please stop having them break up. We got a taste of the old dynamic and I greatly missed it. Poor skinner. He’ll never be rid of them. I like the addition of Miller and Einstein, so long as they don’t stick around the whole next season. I like watching Scully and Mulder work with their younger counterparts. And Monica- I liked seeing her again but AS IF SHE’D EVER WORK CANCER MAN NO SIR. My girl deserves better fr.

Other thoughts: They brought back the old title credits huzzah! 2012 final alien invasion? I’m sorry, did they LIE to us at the end of the movie. WHY do Mulder and Scully not seem to be together anymore? (I was previously spoiled on this but I’M the one asking the questions here 🤨🤨) CANCER MAN IS STILL ALIVE WHAT THE FUCKKKKKK 💀💀💀 Skinner enabling their antics 😌😌😌 How does Scully still not have a desk or a nameplate??? Please don’t show me their dreams with William do you want me to cry? And to have both of them imagine their life with him end in disaster? 😭😭 It’s Monday morning ffs too early to cry 😭😭 MSR and MSR 2.0 😂😂 love it when the mains see themselves in the younger generations/ other people🥹 1005 end scene send tweet. The X-Files first watch: I Want To Believe (Movie)

Character thoughts: Ok I get that Mulder was mad that the existence of paranormal phenomena was brushed under the rug by the FBI for the millionth time, but Scully was right. Who would care about a pedophilic priest? And I totally get his urge to see the case through. It’s his first taste of his life’s work again in so many years. I totally empathize with Scully’s fear too though, about Mulder being back in it. She’s had the last 5 odd years of peace, she could pursue her passion AND have Mulder, and then well. Not.

Other thoughts: Scully’s a doctor 😌😌 I actually kind of like scruffy-Mulder. “Maybe I’d stay out of bed with him.” “Just avoid the activities room.”😂😂 Domestic bed scene 🥹🥹 Scully’s a surgeon suddenly? 🤨Skinner taking care of his dumbasses 🥹 Ok I didn’t love the movie but it certainly had its moments. Felt like an X-File, but idk. I’m glad they’re still together after all of that. They had me in the first half, ngl. Could’ve probably been fine NOT watching this movie, but it’s fine. I’ll go back and rewatch the first one 😉

Other thoughts: Are the hospital sets the only ones they could afford? Because we’ve been spending an awful lot of time in hospitals over the last two seasons. Omg if Doggett and Reyes make out before Scully and Mulder I’m going to track Chris Carter down in his house and- Look, Doggett’s still fine, but I would have liked the show better if Monica and Scully were running the X Files. That way we still could have pretended that Scully was a main character. “Sir, does it look like either of us are here to play checkers?” Brooo did they seriously kill off the Gunmen???? Other thoughts: I miss the old episodic monster-of-the-week feel 😔 Why does Mulder keep disappearing? It’s cluh-MAH-to or CLAM-mah-to, not cluh-MAY-to (signed; a disgruntled Canadian). Scully in the FBI jacket >> At this point my top eps are just the ones where Scully gets more than 5 mins of screen time 😑😑 I wish we could have just had the miracle baby and moved on. I don’t want a whole alien/government conspiracy. Just say she had one egg still rattling around and leave it at that ffs. Three men and a baby was very short lived. I’m actually giggling as I regale my friend with this baby’s lore. I know I should take it seriously, but I can’t help it it’s too funny 😂😂

Seriously, first my window, now my driver’s side lock won’t work, and my passenger side window won’t roll up. So now I can’t drive it to work, because it is the winter (snow, cold!!) and I can’t park it on the street (again; snow, questionable people!!). And I can’t get it fixed until Tuesday. Oh, and apparently my warranty won’t cover it. Hooray.

I needed more of an emotional reunion like Mulder I get it you went through shit but also you should know exactly how Scully feels? Like you were nuts the few weeks she was missing and you were gone nearly 6 months! Harrison asking the right questions lmao. How DID they get back from Antarctica? A baby boy 😔 A kiss!!😍 That baby was a result of good old fashioned S-E-X I will not entertain anything else. A miracle indeed. They got me in the first half, not gonna lie.
