Part 4 is waaaay more complicated than the other parts but I asked one of my class mates for her help and we went over the answeres again. The exam will be next week and slowly I am starting to get nervous but I am sure I will be fine!

went for a run (!!!)

Physical exercise has been a struggle for me for so long and I always had a love-hate relationship with running. I admire people who are able to run long distances. That has never been something I was able to do and I have tried to improve my aerobic endurance many times. This time I will just start with running once a week and see where it goes.

Stayed home for two days - period break

Took two days off (menstruation break) and it was definitely needed. Unfortunately I missed 3 lectures and the exam question session. I tried to figure out some of the stuff by myself but I didn‘t read the lecture slides carefully enough and had a hard time figuring it out. Once I got the answer I reread the lecture slides and realized my mistake. Reading carefully and not skipping most of the information is a struggle for real. But I enjoyed my little adventure and found so much more additional information which in the end helped me to solidify my understanding even more - so kind of a win-win situation (even though it wasn‘t time efficient in any way lol)

presented second paper

We presented the second paper and I did feel like I struggled alot more with that one compared to the first paper. Maybe the eye (as an organ) is just not my strong suit. It was even more complex - mainly because we will talk about the basics next week. Not a very good schedule but I was able to find all the information needed and I understood everything I had to present.

post‘s dedication: first run since forever (at least five years) and it was great, two rest days were a blessing, they finally had Quarkbällchen again… and let me tell you they were unbelievably good

Back in the library! I could not focus or stay awake while trying to study for my developmental psych exam tomorrow. So I called it quits after about an hour and decided I’d go to bed early and wake up early tomorrow. But we’ll see if that actually happens haha.

It’s officially cold. Last week we had highs of 85°F/29°C and now it’s 33°F/0°C and that’s just too drastically different. To the library tonight I wore sweat pants over my leggings as well as a tee shirt, a sweat shirt, and a jacket. If I had a hat I’d put that on too but alas. At least I’ll get to wear a sweater tomorrow!

For the first time in a long time I’m not behind on work! I’m getting back into pleasure reading and am on the second book in The Deal series by Elle Kennedy. I must admit, she’s really good at character development and giving them more areas to grow than just in the romantic plot.

Here is a list of some YouTube ASMR ambiences/soundscapes (they’re all hyperlinked, so click away!) Unlike traditional ASMR, these videos do not feature any people. Talented YouTubers have used software to create rendered environments with layered sounds, with many of these ambiences inspired from fantasy to others based in reality. I find music with lyrics to be distracting sometimes, but these are great background noises for focusing, studying, doing homework, and even for relaxing. Enjoy and good luck ♡

Week 1

What is the first book that you are reading in 2021?

the first book that I am reading in 2021 is the pirate loop by Simon Guerrier. it's a doctor who new adventure book that focuses on the tenth doctor and martha. this is the first book in the series that I'm going to read just because I have the physical book with me from the time I bought it from a car boot sale so I might as well use them and read them.

Do you have a reading goal this year? How many books do you plan to read?

I plan to read 10 books this year. not a lot I know but last year I finished 2 books myself and I was reading them for 2 years before so 😦. this year its more of a challenge for me to get to reading these books
