✨Diva Down! ✨
The numbers are in, and sadly Milk Milk Lemonade has lost in round 1 of the bracket to Vault Number 76. I can't say I'm surprised, but like many of you, I mourn the tragically early fall of my beloved Milk Milk Lemonade. So in honor of its passing, I give you a post that no one in their right mind would ever care about:
Every Beverage Pun in Milk Milk Lemonade, Ranked!
Tumblr media
Warning: Very long post below the cut
I used this video for the puns. Unfortunately, the ACTUAL best pun was not in there because it's not a beverage name. For those wondering, it's "don't upset me, I'll runneth you over." Oh my god this is going to take so long and be so pointless... WHATEVER IT'S TOO LATE NOW
104-102 - "Juice," "Milk," "Lemonade" (Not really puns, just name-dropping drinks)
101-97 - "Who ordered (water)," "Will lynch up (Bollinger) half the town," "Hope you're prepared (Yop)," "Debt collect (Cola)," "Made a mockery (mocha)" (These feel a bit like cheating--I don't think anyone would ever tell they were there without the guide)
96 - "Run (rum) and gunnin'" (Changing the "n" to "m" feels like a bit too much of a stretch to me)
95 & 94 - "To break this curse (curds)," "I've ways (whey) to go" (Do--do curds and whey even count as a drink? I don't think so, but I respect the audacity. Maybe it's a British thing)
93-83 - "Of Fair Trade," "Smashed like crystal (Cristal)," "Relentless," "Monsters out to get me," "I'm a Rockstar," "I got the Moxie," "Shake me, I ain't exploding," "Can pack a punch," "Power Thirst," "No flying saucer," "No solo cup" (For these, the name of the drink had a secondary meaning that they used in the lyrics, pretty simple pun)
82-78 - "Squashin'," "Clear the Vault," "With energy shots," "Sprites," "Pay their Tab" (Same as above, but I like their greater relevance to Cuphead specifically)
77-63 - "Tee (tea) off," "Mead a deal," "Think they'd know bitter," "Whining (wine)," "Brutes (Brut)," "I won't be chaided," "A little Appletiser," "Uno (Ouzo)," "Noggins that I'm bopping," "Under cava," "Reaching (riesling)," "Just one soul is all it Costa," "I'll Crusha you," "Djinn (gin)," "Uslurps" (These are just words that sound like the drink, changed slightly in pronunciation so they match)
62-54 - "All swept (Schweppes) up," "Snapped (schnapps) in half," "AuTopsy," "Pitcture (pitcher) this," "It's whiskey business," "Cocoa-op's open," "Rosé cheeks," "Call the coroner (Corona)," "You're cordially invited," (Same as above, I just find these ones rather satisfying-sounding in the context of the song)
53 & 52 - "Can't stand still," "My kill count's sparkling," (Bonus points for being right next to each other)
51 - "One lump or two? It takes two to Tango," (Also just a word with another meaning, but I really like how it ties in with the previous line)
50-46 - "Hard to port," "I'll Rioja the boat," "Leave you bobbing (bourbon)," "On the Cresta," "The Ocean Spray" (All very simple puns that get massively boosted by doing triple pun-duty as part of an all nautical-themed section?!)
45 & 44 "Playing devil's Advocaat," "Quatro (Cointreau)," (Again, simple, but I respect both the extreme specificity of "Advocaat" and the work it took to get the "Quatro/Cointreau" to make sense in the lyrics)
43 - "BeelzeBubbly" (Porkmanteaus go ham, they're indeliblysoteric)
42-22 - "In a latte trouble," "Incider Hell's casino," "Sure as' (shiraz)," "Wouldn't pay the fee, no (Fino)," "What do we know? (vino)," "Really takes the pee, no? (pinot)," "To pay our bail is (Bailey's)," "Hardly what I'd call a (Kool Aid) dream job," "I'm filled with pep, see? (Pepsi)," "Might I (mai tai) suggest," "Locked and merlotded," "To blow my load (Milo) in," "To drag them all back (malbec) down," "I joined your cult (Yakult)," "In a perrier shoes," "For a share of your (sherry)," "I'm a star by (Starbucks) killing monsters," "Haunted express? So (espresso) boring!" "Big Red Bully," "Champ ain't (champagne) bluffin'," "What once would abhor looks (Horlicks) awful tempting" (Okay now we're talking. Stupes WORKED for every one of these puns, pairing up words and engineering the lyrics around necessary phrases, all while making it look easy)
21 - "Oooh, long (oolong) time coming" (Special mention above the others because it always gets me hyped when the song starts playing)
20-13 - "Had a mountain due (Mountain Dew)," "Bucked Mephisto (Buck's Fizz)," "I'm serving up (7 Up)," "Need a villainess quick (Nesquick)," "My teeny (martini) gloves," "If I'd come a mile (camomile)," "Then it's on to kill a (tequila) gorgon," "Don't be Blue, Nun personal bro," (Same as the above entries, but these ones are just so smooth it's on another level)
12 - "I'm dropping demons from A to Z, but I mostly just do H to O (H2O)" (A rather impressive way of working H2O into the lyrics of a song just for the pun, well done)
11 - "Flat, why try (flat white) escape?" (I'm also super impressed that they managed to get "flat white" out of three separate words in a coherent sentence)
10 & 9 - "This Sailor Jerry-rigged the game," "I'll send this captain to the morgue and (Captain Morgan)," (Again, these super slick puns get bonus points for being part of the nautical section)
8 - "Cold hearted, slashing my targets, ice and a slice when I call your debts in" (I like that this is a more traditional hip-hop pun, setting up adjectives and then delivering on them with a reference)
7 - "On a gay tirade (Gatorade)" (Classic, perfect, the moment I realized I loved this song)
6 - "Call a Doctor, Peppering my enemies" (Splitting it over two lines is awesome)
5 - "Pop a cork in your ass, don't need no Magnum" (Actually hilarious and I love the inversion of "pop a cork" rather than a "cap")
4 - "Two cups, one apocalypse, so (Calypso)" (This actually blew my mind when I finally realized it existed)
3 - "Straws and shorts, no cap or chinos (cappuccino)" (Awesome because you can tell how much they were stretching to get those words in the song, and yet they still somehow make it look easy)
2 - "Let's see how the dark lord does against some earl grey" (Ever since I realized that "earl" is a twist on "lord" and "grey" is a twist on "dark," I've started to love this line more and more. It feels emblematic of the whole song to me)
1 - "How many enemies? I forgot, oh! (affogato)" (It's a sin to have this at number one but I DON'T CARE! I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR THREE DAYS AND IT'S MY LIST I TELL YOU, MINE! I simply can't resist it... it's just... they were trying so hard. Like good job kid, you said "affogato," you can calm down now. Have a Werther's Original and a head pat)

In the music video for The Toybox, The Stupendium actually designed a back to the titular toybox that never ended up featuring, including a little blurb about their... toy-sona?
But they also included this easter egg; most of the lyrics of The Fine Print in literal fine print.
Tumblr media
Here's their post about it: https://x.com/TheStupendium/status/1523362452439662594

"The roses we grow have a terrible smell..."
💕🌀🍯 | 💐🌀💐 | 🍯🌀💕
It's a Joy stimboard! This song has such a unique vibe, when I first discovered it I couldn't stop listening to it for like a month. I love all the characters they play too. Even in the colorful stims for this one I wanted to capture the subtle menace.

"Kill them with kindness" Wrong. BURN US IN THE FURNACE LET OUR SOULS IGNITE THE FLAMES USE OUR BONES TO STOKE THE EMBERS USE OUR BLOOD TO OIL THE CHAINS WE ARE NOTHING NOW BUT ENGINES RENDING FLESH TO FIND A WAY AND AS WE FALL WE KNOW WE DIE TO LIGHT A BRIGHTER DAY EVERY SHIVER WILL DELIVER US DELIVERANCE IN TIME BURN THE INCENSE OF OUR INNOCENCE AND IN A SENSE WE THRIVE PRAY THE FUTURE THAT WE'RE BUILDING WILL BE WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN LIVES SO TAKE HEED BUT TAKE NO PITY AS THE CITY MUST SURVIVE

give me random bad out of context Stupendium lyrics.
like lyrics taken out of context to the point it has you asking "what could possibly be the context of this". idk how else to explain it. hehehehehe
Thank you, this was so fun. Here are my favorites that I found (I'm not going to say what video they're from so they can be TRULY out of context):
"I'll find out on the way out if I'm spouting flaming piss again"
"You can keep the carcass, I'll be on my way"
"The chimney is giving me the skibidi rizz"
"Grilling up hot dogs and genocidal toddlers"
"I never hit that bottle 'til it's time to take a pee"
"I am a freak with adhesive saliva" (my personal favorite)
And also ALL OF THESE ARE FROM THE SAME VIDEO:
"Lay with your mother"
"Grabbed ya mum's honkers (she's my side piece)"
"Rest assured, I've got your mum on my to-do list"
"Back to your momma, in case you hadn't heard, she's going down when I pipe her, like Flappy Bird"
I feel like a lot of my audience probably knows them all, but feel free to guess in the comments!

I've been struck with inspiration and now I NEED to see The Stupendium as Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. It's perfect for them.
Ability to rap/sing unbelievably fast? Check. Ability to embody the frightening, funny, and tragic sides of the character? Check. Sexy tavern wench swagger? Check. Puns? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Agreed, they have completely different senses of humor, without much in common aside from sexual innuendo. Plus, Onlycans is actually a sexual game while Baldi's Basics isn't.
However I must admit, regrettably, that I actually kinda like You're Mine... some of it is kinda tasteless but I honestly respect DAGames' sheer rage at being forced to make a Baldi's Basics song.
