Deep Water Prompt #3068
The bookshop opens at midnight, the books all bound in smooth black leather. Choose one in silence, if you’re brave enough. You have one night to read. And one week to act.

Can I suggest? If you want to write something, find a culture, do a little research on it, pick a tradition or festival, and try writing what goes on there. Do lesser known countries or festivals. Even publish your stuff and get feedback from people who do celebrate those things. Educate yourself on other cultures while practicing writing. Its very effective and fun
bonus: you get to search up all kinds of fancy clothing they wear, figure out what foods they eat, the history and reason that festival exists, generally what kind of fun activities they host, and who knows, maybe it'll inspire you a little
whatever do you do, just be open minded and dont be biased toward anything without doing research first
again: RESEARCH!! dont pretend you know everything

Scene prompt
Your only friend races behind you as you walk briskly down the corridor. “Where are you going?” They ask, breathless.
“The councillor.” You reply honestly, not even bothering to look back at them.
They grab your wrist. “What? Why would you go to the councillor? You’re perfectly fine...”
You yank your arm from their grip and turn around to face them. “Fine? I have no memory of anything past two days ago!”
Their face goes slack. “You what? So the potion took away your memory?”
“Potion?”
“You really don’t remember anything, do you? You asked me to preform the magic on you. You created that potion, said it would be perfectly fine.”
You took a deep breath and looked at the floor. “Okay.”
Their eyes widened. “Wait.” You glanced up sharply. “Then how do you know me?”
You frowned. “Yesterday... you introduced yourself to me yesterday... shook my hand and everything.”
“You were in coma for the past two days - yes that is normal after having magic done on you - but I didn’t say anything to you.”
“Could it have been a memory then?” You asked, deciding to give them the benefit of doubt, even though you were one hundred percent sure it really happened.
“No. Even when we first met, I never said my name. You read it off my name tag.”

Writing Prompt #5
“I will never let you near me, let alone show affection toward me! The day I let you hug me is the day the first queen of [insert country/island here] rises from the dead!”
That had been two weeks ago. You’d been working nonstop to build yourself a time machine, in order to get an ingredient for a spell that only existed a hundred years ago. According to you, if it was done right, it could raise the dead. In order to build a time machine, you had to pull in tons of favours, from people all around the world, but you finally, finally, managed to do it. You had everything you needed to make the spell, and had called them here to watch as you raised their favourite queen and idol from the dead.
Hopefully afterward, you’d get your hug.

Writing Prompt #4
The world is homophobic and same-sex marriage is illegal, and you can get killed for it. A gay couple and a lesbian couple have been friends with each other since childhood. One day, one of the lesbians proposes to one of the guys. He gets horrified and refuses, until she explains her plan, to which he agrees. Their partners are shocked and betrayed to see them engaged to each other, until they explain the idea. The two remaining people also get engaged, and after their weddings, they get apartments next to each other, with a door connecting them. The gay couple and the lesbian couple live together usually and stay with each other. The house on the left is assigned to the gays and the one of the right, to the lesbians.
The rest of the world think they’re straight.

Writing Prompt #3
“That’s it, isn’t it? We’re in a story.” I whispered.
“I hate to admit it... but it makes sense” They whispered back.
------------------------------------------------
Y/N sighed. “Way to break the fourth wall, book character who... for some creepy reason kind of gives off the same vibes i do.”
------------------------------------------------
They laugh a little bit. Reading a fanfiction about the main character - them, supposedly - reading a book they’re in is the funniest thing ever.
------------------------------------------------
You shook your head. This was getting confusing. A book about a book in which the main character reads fanfiction of them finding out they’re in a book... no thanks. Thank goodness no one was reading about you right now.

Concept #2
Plot twist~~

reverse soulmate-ish au where everyone - everyone - has a strip of colour from their wrist up till their shoulder on one arm, and the person who has the exact opposite shade on the colour wheel is the person who is the exact opposite to you, maybe not in gender, race (or any other physical, uncontrollable characteristics), but in interests, taste, opinion (sometimes) and personality. They have nothing, nothing, in common.
This is inclusive of everyone because it doesn’t state what kind of relationship you have with them. Some people hate their opposition, some fall in love, and some become close friends. Some don’t even meet at all. In rare cases, a person’s opposition could be their relative, and this would cause a bunch of problems to the character (keep in mind this is not a soulmate au so age does’t matter). A lot of people go searching for their opposition, but some may wish to completely avoid anyone of any variation of that colour.
(Bonus: people with similar shades are similar, but no two shades are the same)

Dialogue Prompt #1
“FREEZE! We’ve caught you, red handed! We know what you are, if you come quietly, no one else will need to find out.”
“Oh? And what, exactly, am I?”
“Come now or we’ll shoot.”
“I’m not going anywhere till you answer my question.”
“You’re a...human.”
“Human? Me? I’m not even an alien, how can I be human?”
