Hey!! What are the best online resources for learning Russian for a beginner? =]

I have been using youtube a lot, so everything here is about youtube videos, the links are in the body of text.

So, first, you have to learn the alphabet, this video is fantastic, the woman’s method really works.

The channel Real Russian Club have a playlist teaching “from zero to fluency”, I like the way she teaches and it’s very basic, beggining with the alphabet. She teaches a lot of grammar too.

Fedor (a native russian) has a channel called Be Fluent in Russian, he has small videos explaining some grammar and vocabulary stuff, he has some videos talking slowly (with english and russian subtitles) and about russian culture, also he is very sympathetic.

I wonder if every language learner already knows the Easy Languages, they have great playlists, for some languages - russian, for example - they have the “super easy” version, it’s very basic, give you a lot of vocabulary plus they talk about their culture. Awesome, right?

To practice the listening and reading + comedy -> Room Factory and Black Horse used to have subtitles (mainly in russian, but sometimes in english too).

Also Duolingo is great, obviously.

Basically, I don’t have a method, I just mix everything and pray to be fluent in the near future (good luck for us)

hi it's been a long time. i just wanted to share that yesterday my girlfriend and i watched 'past lives' together and there was this scene between arthur and nora where he talked abt not being able to understand her when we sleeptalked bc she would talk in korean and my girlfriend turned to me and said this is why i want you to learn russian because even in the gibberish that i'll speak i want you to be able to understand me (in a way that there is nowhere in her where i can't reach her like the way arthur felt about nora sleep talking in korean). and well now i am learning basic russian and let me tell you, what did i get myself into
