Juneau, Alaska
Population: 31,973
It all started in 2020. Worldwide, over the span of a year, one by one, a variety of supernatural species made themselves known to humanity. For some, there was no other choice, their realms were completely cut off, others with hiding places were no longer safe.
Chaos emerged. Those that rebelled were branded monsters. The world wasn't ready.
The transition was an uphill battle for many.
Not all supes could control their abilities. Many were displaced from their homes. The world initially reacted with stricter laws against ability usage and more bias over certain species. Riots against this broke out. Some countries had it worse than others.
Even with all of its issues, the city of Juneau became a known safe haven from some of the worst mistreatments.
Two years since and to the present day, the laws have eased up and what came with it were more supes in power. Around Juneau, it's pretty common to see more supes than humans - that's if you have the eye for telling the difference.
A few factions have fractured off into their own clans and have been scheming for more rights and control of the city. There are also rumors circulating of legendary powered creatures and their own motives.
Not to mention, the city is still being rebuilt from the last legendary making it's presence known. Public displays of ability usage has since changed from disapproved and became strictly prohibited.
There's never a shortage of strange tidings around Juneau.
So, what's your story?
