The Hades in question...
I hate how so many people have told me how I should have not named my dog Hades. It's my dog Karen, if you don't like his name then you and Pluto can just keep on walking.

American Eagle 360 NE(X)T High-waisted Jeggings.
unfortunately, quad gains means shopping for jeans has become IMPOSSIBLE! if it fits my waist, it doesn’t fit my butt or power thighs, and if it fits my thighs and butt it never fits my waist. Where do my curvy girls get their jeans from?? Is the secret that you just have to alter the waist??

I did this too except I traded my 2017 Crosstrek for a 2019 Forester. I’m crying. I thought I wanted something bigger, but the handling is so different. I miss my Hyper Blue...
I traded in my 2017 Subaru Forester for a 2019 and honestly I hate it. If I could, I’d get my 2017 back, but they aren’t gonna do that. They downgraded the power of the engine on the 2019 so it doesn’t have anywhere near the get-up and go of my 2017. Wish I’d done my research better before trading in.

Since this showed up on my dash, I will give my two cents.
If you are considering a cheaper route for a bachelor’s degree, going to community college first can be a great option. Just make sure that the credits will transfer to the 4-year college you are considering. Guidance/Admissions counselors at either college should be able to help with this. Check if any of the colleges or universities have a 2+2 program where you can go to a community college for the first half and then a regular college for the second and everything is streamlined.
Also, you may be able to get an associate’s in the field you want to work in and then be able to get a job in that field right away. Then hopefully your employer can pay for you to get your bachelor’s.
Another option, is if you like to work with your hands, or build stuff, look into trade schools. I love working with computers, but my guidence counselor in high school convinced me I need to go to a 4-year college for computer science. No one told me computer science had nothing to do with building computers and playing with cables! I wasted a lot of time and money figuring I am not a tradition college kind of gal! I found a trade school that had a networking program and I excelled at it. I was able to find a job I enjoy and make good money!
Are community college good schools Because I wanna go because it cheaper but people say they aren't real colleges what should I do?
I’m not so sure about the term “community college” since we have different education systems in my country. Thus, I will not be able to give my own opinion on this matter. But I’ve seen lots of controversial opinions regarding community college. All I could say to you is to converse with people who have gone to community college, parents, teachers and counsellors cos they will definitely know better than me. Go to the venue if they are hosting any sort of experiential day, get some brochures, read up and make an informed decision from there.

I loved that movie. I watched it like 5 billion times when I was little. The lines were golden.
“Because I’m a lady, that’s why.”
“You’re nothing but a sister!”
“Ladies don’t start fights, but they can finish them” 😁
remember The Aristocats?? literally just a movie about a bunch of cats. and the rich cat falls in love with the nice (weirdly buff) working class cat and he gradually grows into a father role for her kids. wonderful. there was like very little plot to it but it was just. delightful. what happened to that kind of storytelling

I’m wondering what this lady thought her DIL was going to do with all the yarn she just bought with the giftcard.
“And here is all the yarn I bought with the gift my MIL gave me for Christmas.”
“Cool! What are you going to make?”
“Oh, heavens no. I can’t possibly use this to make something. It’s too precious! I’m just going to let it sit here on the shelf until it fades and collects so much dust I don’t even know what color it is anymore.”
“....”
Imagine typing out this letter and not stopping halfway and thinking “Hmmm, this makes me sound like the worst human being in the world.”

Depends on what kind of job you want. If you want to finish faster, compare what classes you have already taken with the degree plans of both majors and see what might transfer over. Sometimes admission counselors can help, but usually they are only there to make sure you get everything sent in that you need.
If you are really serious try joining the WGU IT Facebook group. They are a good group and someone is always available to answer your questions.
I am also 27 and just started WGU at the beginning of the year in the Network Operations and Security degree. BEST DECISION EVER IN MY LIFE!! I don’t know why I struggled for so long and spent so much money on a brick and mortar school.
So I have been going back and forth on if I should go to Western Governors University or back to my old college Wayne State University “Home of the endless soup bar”. And I believe I have finally decided for sure on Western Governors. Even though I do love soup I feel like at 27 years-old WGU is better for my needs at this juncture of my life. Now the question is do I pick software development or computer science for my major?

So true. My younger (2.5yrs) brother and I could be the best of friends or the worst of enemies. My little (8.5yrs) sister however is more like birth control.
some ppl who grew up with siblings didnt rly Grow Up With Siblings. like if you and your brother are 10 yrs apart u just dont get it… if you had siblings within 3yrs of your age you had the genuine experience of primitive undeveloped human brains pummeling the shit out of each other because none of us have developed frontal cortices and the laws of man don’t apply in the confines of this house

I totally second this. Ever since I started using my Diva cup (similar thing), my period life has gotten so much better. I used to get horrible cramps with tampons and pads were a mess. I would often have to wear both because tampons were so unreliable, just like my flow!
With my Diva cup I can go the whole work day without worrying about my period.
No more sneaking tampons/pads out of your bag and covertly hiding them in your pocket as you rush to the bathroom because you feel you sprung a leak.
If used properly there are no leaks! I sometimes have a heavy flow and still max empty it out only like 3x a day.
Sorry for the long post, but I don’t think enough people talk about this stuff or know how amazing this product is.
PEOPLE WHO HATE THEIR PERIODS: LISTEN UP
THIS
is a menstrual cup. You may know it as the “blossom cup” (excuse me while I hurl).
A size small is 2.4in (6.22cm) long, including the nubbin, and 1.6in (4.2cm) diameter. It’s made of soft silicone, holds around 0.7oz or 4tsp (20ml) of liquid, and looks about this big:
(pardon my shaky hands, but i’m not taking it back out for a better picture. anyway.)
This fucking thing? Basically solved my shark week dysphoria. First you get it wet (so it goes in easy), then you fold one of three ways.
The C-fold (easy mode):
The 7 fold (moderate):
Or the Origami fold (fancy):
Then you stick it in that hole that’s been so annoying this week. If you can feel it, you did it wrong. Stick a finger up there, beside the cup, and make sure it unfolded. It’ll probably open by itself, but it’s good to make sure.
Then guess what. You don’t have to worry about it til your next bathroom break!
Depending on how heavy your flow is, you might not have to worry about it until you go to bed. And it’s safe to sleep in too!
When you wanna take it out, you just grab that little nubbin at the bottom and pull. If the suction doesn’t release you might want to stick a finger in there to help it out, but I just keep pulling. It might also help to twist it a little.
Dump it, rinse it, wipe yourself clean, then stick it back in and forget about it again.
It’s like $16 on Amazon rn
And it comes in a bunch of colors:
so you can pick your favorite!
It comes with instructions:
And a carrying bag that is so much brighter irl:
It’s like, really feminine. But you obvs don’t have to use it if that’s not your thing.
TLDR:
The Blossom Cup is so much better than it sounds, and it may help with the moon week blues.

I was really confused when I was reading the tags of heatwave and I’m melting when it’s 30 degrees and then I realized it was referring to celcius. :P
It’s 30 degrees again today while I have to study and I’m actually so DONE, I wish I was living on a remote scottish island again this summer

I know the one in Rochester is nice. The doctors are very collaborative with other departments and will refer internally if need to be. As far as I know, all the campuses follow the same values and model of care.
Has anyone ever gone to the Mayo Clinic/ know what it’s like there?

From real world experience, as far as I know, all the surgeons at Mayo Clinic wear the same light blue scrubs like they do at their hospital. But that doesn't really solve the issue of continuity error.
Continuity Error in 14X17 of Grey’s Anatomy
Did anyone else notice the continuity error on Grey’s Anatomy last week with Nick’s scrubs? When Cristina worked at Mayo surgeons wore dark olive green scrubs, but Nick is wearing dark burgundy. I know different Departments have different colours, but both Nick and Cristina are surgeons so shouldn’t they be wearing the same scrub colour? Weird …

I go to WGU as well, and I agree that it is a great school! They also have an IT division, which is what I am in. I’m currently studying Network Operations, but they have software development and even cybersecurity. They are also adding a compsci program this summer. The great thing about IT at WGU is the fact that some of the classes’ final assessments are certifications that will help you in your career, such as CompTIA and Cisco.
I really enjoy being able to quickly pass classes about stuff I already know in 2 days, but also being able to take a little longer on classes that are a little difficult for me, or if something in life comes up and I can’t study for a week. Also, since the school is online, the student body is very active on tumblr, slack, reddit, and facebook. You can always find help on how to get through a class, or what resources you should or could use. Without them, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have already.
Anyone who is interested in getting a bachelors or masters in teaching/nursing/or business I highly recommend WGU. Western Governors University. I’ve been getting my special education teaching crediential through them and it has been incredible. It’s 3,000 for 6 months (so cheap compared to other online schools like GCU) and you can take as many credits as you want. As. Many. Classes. As. You. Can. It’s all online- super accessible- you take one class at a time and take the final and pass whenever you feel like you’ve mastered the subject. Completely competency based learning. I completed 3 classes in a month through them. No wasting time. They are regionally accredited which is the highest form of accreditation a school can have.
WGU has been a life saver for me- a working busy stressed out poor millennial just trying to finish my degree. If anyone else is out there and can relate to that plight- I highly suggest this university.
