Prompt: The Vessel that Can Take You Anywhere and any time.
There was a ship. A ship of unknown origins. It had an unearthly yet beautiful; And I could not remember the name. The twinkling of the night sky moved me.
I was falling at a massive speed. Downward. How did I manage to fall down here? I was sliding down some sort of tubed slide. The flashing was keeping me awake but making my head feel worse. I couldn't wait for it to stop. And it did. The feeling of dread disappeared completely from my head. Along with my consciousness. It knocked me out for a long time. And when I eventually woke up, I stared around me with a strange smile. I knew where I was. And it was a place I have always wanted to see.
I gave myself a moment to truly observe my surroundings. The first thing I see is that whatever kind of vessel had brought me here was nowhere to be seen. And even though I had already suffered an injury on my head. However, the realization of where I was, along with the missing vessel and no seemingly way out of this, the dizziness returned and I was out cold withing seconds.
And once again I woke to strange surroundings. I tried to stand and look around, but my eyes were temporarily incapable of opening properly. This went very differently than I could even imagine. And with all of this information that was buzzing inside my skull, I find myself falling once again. But instead of hitting the floor head first, something extremely strange happened. I never hit the floor.si
Once again (and hopefully for good) my eye sight returned to their normal functions. And that was when I saw him. That was when he rushed forward to catch me, concern on his face. A real concern. He wasn't faking this. Who the hell is this guy? And why was he holding on to me as if I were some precious diamond? Of course, that didn't mean anything to me in the moment as I immediately attempted to struggle away from him and run. I didn't get very far.
“Where am I?” I asked sounding slightly more venomous than I had intended. “Who the hell are you?” her voice quickly gaining volume. “Why the hell am I here?” I asked, more quietly this time. The man stared back at me with what most would call a face of stone. But by looking in his eyes I knew that wasn't true. Why did this man look so familiar though? And then, suddenly, his eyes caught mine. But I did not feel fear. I felt sympathy. What had been done to this man that he goes from concerned to blank so quickly. And then once again I realized something. I also knew who he reminded me of. Once that realization kicked in I put more strength in to getting away from him, standing up and leaning flat against the wall. “What do you want? To attempt to blow up my planet?” By now I was straight up glaring at him and she saw a flicker of fear. Quickly brought back to blank again.
The man cleared his throat. “You know where you are love. You are just not ready to believe it.” I raised an eyebrow. “ I couldn't believe the words coming out of this mans mouth. Until I realized he wasn't wrong. I did know where I was. And it was causing my heart beat to lose its normal tempo, which scared me a little but it as the least of my problems. “Did you just call me love?” she spat. The man looked as if he were slightly saddened by my question. And yet he nodded in affirmation. I put everything I had in me to keep myself from having some sort of breakdown.
“You're right, I know where I am. How did I get here and what hell do you people want with me?” He was silent for what felt like hours. And once he began to speak he moved closer to me, putting a hand gently on my shoulder. I jerked away, making an attempt to stay as far away from him until my back hit the wall. And yet I immediately softened my demeanor. I tried to hold it heavy and ready but the look that appeared on his face was heartbreaking to the point where even I wanted to shed tears for him. In that moment he felt so familiar. His eyes were not new to me. I knew him. I knew those eyes. Eyes that have seen so much more than anyone should ever have to. There was something almost broken about him that sent a surge of guilt throughout my body linked to the fact that I had recoiled.
I closed my eyes, shaking my head and trying to catch my breath. My heart was beating so fast for this man. For this mysterious savior. What scared me the most was that my heart really wasn't racing from fear at all. And when I opened my eyes again, his gaze took mine, and I could not look away. I didn't WANT to look away. He must have somehow sensed it because in one smooth motion he was only inches away from me, up against the wall, with no way out. I expected panic. I expected crippling fear. What was he planning for me now that I was here. Wherever here was. The look he gave me proved not only that he had no plans to hurt me. But it didn't stop there. My attempt to flee was bothering him. Who could have hurt this man so badly? It looked, for a moment, as if he were afraid of... me. I pushed all thoughts from my head in order to have a verbal conversation and not imagining what probably were not the facts.
Of course after a long silence I had to ask a question that had been burning my insides since the moment I woke up on that... mode of transportation. I closed my eyes to ease my anxiety. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and exhaled slowly to stop my frame from shaking anymore. And once I had gotten my breath back to normal and my heart to relax, I looked him straight in those mysterious emerald eyes. “Who are you?” I asked. When no immediate answer came I could not handle the awkward silence, so I spoke again. “Why am I hear?” And finally, after everything, this man spoke to me in an authoritative and yet strangely soft way, answering my questions as he once again closed the space between eyes. My heart skipped a beat as he whispered softly.
“I am Loki. Of Asgard.”

Demon Waltz: Poem
When sun has gone and day is done, the fun has only just begun. With the day retreats the light, and soon the demons all take flight. Past my window they beat their wings, and oh what sorrowful songs they sing. Their sweet melodies fill my mind, and soon their stories begin to undwind. Tales unfold of the broken heart, but before too long the dancing starts. Round and round they circle the moon, and soon they begin to enter my room. In and out they fly at will, With a great and unmatched skill. All through the night I lay and listen, all the while the moonlight glistens. But all good things must come to an end, and soon the light begins to bend. Beautiful dark gives way to light, and so ends this glorious night. I stare and sigh at the rising sun, and it banishes my fun. And then a single bat flies by, a singular demon in the sky. He hums his tune loud and clear, as if to tell me do not fear. For when the sun is gone and day is done, the fun will have only just begun.

Winter Orchestra: Poem
The stars are a silent symphony, flowing notes flutter down on the snow. Hear the songs play beautifully, twisting and twirling moving and growing. A stellar performance met with lunar applause, the strings and brass leave the ice in awe. Percussion and wind grips with melodic claws, A great crescendo without a single flaw. The curtain calls as the sun awakes, the music retreats to crystal flakes. A whole new style of music begins, percussion brass strings and winds.
