2 x Punch-Outs For Pool Lighting in the Casing of the Stainless Steel Pool
Before you attempt any work on your pool or equipment, please read through the entire instruction book that came with it. There are a lot of tips and tricks that will save you a lot of time, trouble, and money.
One of the most common problems with pool lighting is that it won't turn on after you change the bulb. There are a few reasons why this may happen: Check their site to know more details Stahlwandpool.
Check the power. Make sure the breaker to your house is turned off, and the switch on the pool light is also in the "off" position.
Sometimes the screw that holds the fixture in place breaks off, making it difficult to remove the lamp for servicing or replacement. This can be caused by corrosive pool chemistry, which weakens the metal and screws. To remedy this, a product called a Light Wedge can be inserted between the niche and the fixture to provide a tight seal.
Another reason a pool light won't turn on is the switch inside the light niche is broken or not working. This can be fixed with a special tool from the pool supply store called a Niche Tool. It's a little like a wrench, but it fits the hole in the wall and holds the switch in place so it can be turned on.
You can often get by with just replacing the pool light bulb, but some times the fixture itself needs to be replaced. When this happens, there is no need to drain the pool. Typically, the fixture has a tab on it that fits into a receiver in the niche, so the fixture can be pulled up above water and onto the deck for servicing.
Once the fixture is above water, the cord can be coiled around it, and then the niche can be pushed back into position. The final step is to re-screw the fixture back into place. This can be a challenge, as it is sometimes hard to get the screw to go through the light bezel ring and into the threaded niche hole without breaking off the flange on the bottom of the niche. If you are struggling, a mask and/or goggles will help you see what you're doing.
If the light still doesn't come on, you may have a bigger electrical problem, and this should be checked by a professional electrician. It's important to have this work done correctly, as electricity and water don't mix. A qualified electrician will add a circuit to your home breaker box, run the wires from the breaker to a junction box in the pool deck, and then from the junction box to the lights. The electrician will also bond the junction boxes, ladder sockets, and light niches together to make sure they're all connected properly. This will reduce the risk of any electrical problems in the future. If you are building a new pool, this is something that should be included in your plan from the start.
