We very much struggle with mountains even with planes

It took the full force of the American infantry the highest skilled infantry in the world for years and years and years until we got the people we went in there for

Also America when it wants too can make great rail kinda structure to make comutes throughand around mountains very easy

Our rail infrastructure and how good we were at it and getting through mountains was a huge point of American pride before cars took over

We could do it if we put our minds to it

I think people forget sometimes how much an of a beast America has been in the past at getting infrastructure projects done

I also disagree a capital needs a big city with how we do our capitals in America it just leads to confusion as people that live in that capital can't vote in everything or vote fairly based on their actual population they have

And with how separated and Federalized America is even shut culturally having in a big well known city may actually just be a bad idea
