Whenever I have sleepovers with friends, we do the "true laugh" thing. It's where someone crosses their arms over their chest and lays on the ground, and they go like "ha ha-" (a fake laugh) while another person either standing over or sitting next to them presses down on their crossed arms.

I laugh like Turbo. Maybe I made my muscles hurt a lot when doing it too much. Nevertheless... (in my opinion since I don't like getting tickled, this is the best next thing ♥)

I love this shot not only for just how powerful it is, but because throughout the movie we’d seen his hesitance going through this plan at all— and yet he still did it.

He was self aware, yet not enough as he desperately continued to cling to something that would never realistically work— so blinded by his delusions of keeping his first real friend— he ignored his gut instinct and kept making the wrong choices every single time.

And even after WPNZ confronted him, fought him— it was Meggy who finally broke through that delusion— because once she said he’s never going to change— that was the moment it all sunk in for him.

No matter how many times this scene is shown…

It will never fail to break and/or depress me for the rest of the day

I think one of my favorite things about Mr. Puzzles is that the more we see of him. The more you can see just how much he is a product of his environment. And how the way he acts is influenced heavily by his upbringing.

Like after seeing his backstory. (Both the song version and theme park dreams). It makes so much sense why he acts the way he does.

I am greatly enjoying seeing the writing team explore these layers as the series progresses. And I wish them the best of luck!! 💖

In response to the tags you left on my previous ask that you answered (this one)

YES!!! EXACTLY!!! Now that he's not putting on a front/act anymore, OF COURSE he's gonna' be scared! He doesn't know how else to be, and this is all so new to him! He's hidden away the real him behind this image of being unshakable (and crazy/powerful) and yet here he is now!

WPNZ saw him at his lowest: locked away, head rusting around the edges, desperate, and at the so-called mercy of a planned execution. And what happened? He enjoyed every second he spent with him anyways. He didn't get to see the powerful front that Puzzles usually had to hide behind. He saw the real him, and he liked what he saw. Obviously Puzzles doesn't know how to respond to that, even though he ALSO only first met WPNZ when HE was at his lowest too (literally in pieces)

AGH THEY'RE SO DAMN MESSY AND I LOVE THEM!

They’re so damn messy and I’m so excited to explore whatever’s next for them.

I don't know if I should feel more honored or embarrassed that you read my Gunshow fan fiction LMAO! I'm really glad you liked it though, I had a TON of fun writing it! I never thought any writers would ever see it so now I'm just kinda like...beside myself (IN A GOOD WAY I SWEAR)

They're just so fun to write! Their personalities and character dynamics are SO FUN to explore, and I really wanted to dig into how they'd respond to each other post-confession and post-apology. I also like to imagine that because of how hurt WPNZ was over the divorce from Karen AND after what happened in GNP, he'd really struggle with believing him at first; despite being able to read it on his face display/etc.

Meanwhile Puzzles would struggle with the idea of having romantic feelings for someone because he hasn't felt this way before about anyone. The closest would've possibly been Meggy, but even then that wasn't romantic. I always saw that as more of a "healing-inner-child" kind of platonic admiration. I can really see him fumbling over himself trying to figure out that distinction, and then being scared when he realizes that what he's feeling towards WPNZ is actually LOVE-love.

That's why I wrote it to begin with! I love playing with ideas like that! Sorry I just saw the post with that anon talking to you about it! Speaking of, in that same post you said it made you want to write/post your own fan fictions again too; and you totally should! I'd read them in a heartbeat! I'm sure a lot of us would!

If "loving yourself" seems far away, aim for treating yourself with the basic kindness and respect that you aim to treat everyone else with. Or if even that feels unrealistic, aim for not hurting and neglecting yourself. You don't have to move from 1 to 100 all at once. Just start, even if you gotta start slow, even if the journey in front of you is long. It's okay to be a work in progress. We all are, for life.
