very confused why you're asking this on my agere blog and not my bible blog but sure:

1: Fruity. Not for any real or intelligent reasons I just think it makes for a good tragedy.

2: I think if the entire Bible is to be taken as relatively real and literal, he was simply fulfilling his role. Jesus clearly knew that somebody would betray him. Where did he get that information? Idk, hes Jesus. What i do know is that somebody had to betray him so that he could die for our sins and ultimately roll away the stone.

God has explicitly been shown to take free will from people when he feels it's necessary (see: He hardened pharaoh's heart) and i think it is totally possible that Judas was simply a vessel for the divine plan.
