can we appreciate just for a moment how well-animated Gregory's facial expressions in this song?

I especially love how he first looked to the right, realizing it was a dead end, maybe hoping Gregory would mess up and get cornered, but then quickly glanced the other way, just barely spotting him. The entire chase scene is amazing from Moon’s perspective, and the twinkles in his field of view are such a nice touch, so iconic!

Princess Tutu AU

[AKT 1]

Introduction- We meet Y/N who lives in a small apartment above Jack and Madison's bakery. Y/N is an advanced literary student at Gold Crown Academy, running late on this particular day. A heavy downpour makes their journey to school all the more interesting when they spot their neighbor Michael standing under an awning taking shelter from the rain. Y/N offers to share their umbrella with him and the two make their way to the school. Y/N attempts to make small talk with Michael but it doesn't go well when he expresses to them that he's not allowed to speak to strangers. Perplexed, Y/N carries on in silence until they get to school and part ways with Michael.

Y/N heads to class, their tardiness excused by Professor Bonnie on account of the rain (also because Y/N bribes him with a carrot cupcake.)

Later that day Y/N is reading quietly in the library to avoid the rain when they're approached by their friend Colette, a drama student. She's there to check out a book for a play the drama class is performing but she stops to talk to Y/N. Y/N asks Colette what she knows about Michael and Colette says she doesn't know much other than he's in the advanced sculpting class and is seemingly in a relationship with another student named Vanessa. The duo are always seen together, though not much is really known about them.

After the rain passes, Y/N leaves the library and starts back for home, curious about Michael and his bizarre remark about not talking to strangers. That's when Y/N happens to notice Michael walking arm in arm with a blonde young woman that they surmise must be Vanessa. Curiosity piqued, Y/N mindlessly follows the two into town as the duo begins to window shop. Y/N is so swept up in watching the two they're entirely unaware that they're actively stalking two seemingly innocent people until a voice from behind catches them off guard.

They whip around to find theirself face to face with a peculiar looking automaton pushing a street organ. The sun faced being prods them about why they're following the “lovely young couple,” to which Y/N responds that they don't actually know why they were following them. The automaton remarks that the young woman seems very happy and content, but that the young man seems to not feel any emotion at all. The two observe Michael and Vanessa quietly for some time before the chiming of the clock tower alerts Y/N that they're late and that they need to head home. Before Y/N can go, the sun themed automaton gives them a shiny purple gem (identical to one they wear around their neck) as a “thanks” for their time and tells them with a wink that it makes a perfect ice-breaker for getting to know someone.

Suspicious but too embarrassed to address the matter further, Y/N pockets the gem and hurries back home to help Jack and Madison with the evening rush of customers.
