Try to have some respect the queen just DIED. It's not like she was evil or anything
And why should I do that for the head of a family that oversaw the British Empire's legendarily brutal concentration camps in colonialist Kenya during the 1952-1960 Mau Mau rebellion, has personally and repeatedly shielded credibly accused rapist Prince Andrew and tried to get the scandal to go away, personally paid Andrew's financial settlement while the family treated Meghan Markle terribly and gave her none of the same protection, exerted a huge amount of control over UK public finances without any transparency or disclosure (while also receiving huge amounts of that money), got to personally edit laws according to her likes and dislikes, enjoyed sweeping legal immunities that are described as a "threat to UK democracy," is the most visible figurehead of British colonialism even as her descendants put on a horribly tone-deaf Caribbean tour (twice in one year!) that was basically about unreconstructed imperial imagery of the kind that is poisoning Britain, while the entire country buys into the fantasy that she is an impartial, uninvolved, kindly and benevolent grandmotherly figure....?
Nah.

So I just recently have gotten back into my Gakushuu phase. So hereâs a long nuanced paragraph about why him being in E-Class would have made more sense!
Okay so for starters, as a lovely follower of mine pointed out Gakushuu parallels just about everyone in E-Class in some way shape or form.
He is a parallel of Isogai in terms of them both being leaders, struggling throughout the series to prove themselves worth leaders.
He parallels Itona in how both of them struggle constantly with the idea of strength and allowing themselves to be vulnerable and imperfect.
He is parallels Nagisa in how both of their parents are overbearing and abusive (though in different ways).
He parallels Karma in how they both throughout the series gun for first place.
There are probably more examples I could come up with, but these are just a few.
For this reason I feel like him coming to E-Class and seeing all of these people with similar problems to him could have helped further his development. He couldâve seen them handling these issues in healthier and more morally right ways (not that Gakushuu ever did anything extremely bad). If he has been able to do the same it would have worked wonderfully in terms of his development.
I also really enjoy the trope that Iâve seen a lot of people consider the âFallen Angelâ trope (I like to think of it as the âZukoâ trope). Basically a character going from having everything to having nothing and gaining extreme development because of it.
I think it wouldâve been interesting to see this happen in the main series. It also wouldâve been very good writing. It wouldâve fleshed out the principal as being even more cruel than he already was made to be. It wouldâve given us more Gakushuu and 3-E interactions as well.
I feel like having Gakushuu (one of the antagonists) be so far away from our main cast made him seem less threatening. It then made him a less effective antagonist.
If he had been moved down to E-Class he wouldâve been moved out of the antagonist role and become more of an ally. It wouldâve made more sense seeing as he wasnât a very menacing Antagonist (which I suppose was kind the point, but more on that in a later post).
I also wouldâve loved to see E-Class struggle with going from Haiti g Gakushuu and being his enemy to now needing in assassination attempts and helping raise their academics. The dynamic would be so interesting.
Overall it wouldâve been so fascinating to see and wouldâve added so much depth to not only his character but others in E-Class.
(And maybe I wanted to see Korosensei being a positive adult figure in Shuuâs life⌠I just want him to be happy đ)

I was researching the events of Hamilton and got really emotionally invested in Maria Reynolds, especially since we only see Hamiltonâs perspective on her and the affair which somehow makes him out to be the victim. I understand that the musical couldnât afford to spend any more time on her, but I wish she got more sympathy and respect. âSay No To Thisâ was only one section in her life, after all. So I⌠just went ahead andâŚ
wrote the lyrics for a whole Hamilton-style song about her life. As you do.
Lyrical references to the musical under the cut!
The title (situated at the end of a line in the chorus) being an adjective referring to how Maria does and/or does not feel and related to her passion for Hamilton follows the pattern of âHelplessâ and âSatisfiedâ, uniting the three âMe? I loved himâ women.
Burrâs âthe sinners and the saintsâ line in âWait For Itâ, leading into how her life âtakes and it takes and it takesâ. Possibly foreshadowing of Burrâs significance in her life and her turn to religion in her last years.
âNo one will read itâ and âBurr, thatâs why need itâ in âNon-Stopâ.
The âpawnsâ line harks back to chess terms and references like âknight takes rookâ, âstalemateâ, âthe sacrifices made in every game of chessâ - Hamilton follows the chess players, Maria is just a pawn. A piece Hamilton is willing to sacrifice.
âIâm a diamond in the rough, a shiny piece of coalâ in âMy Shotâ.
The âAlexander Hamiltonâ motif (all names are sung in their show cadences).
âStay Aliveâ, the titular phrase of which is sung by Mariaâs foil Eliza no less.
Eliza and Angelica repeatedly draw attention to Hamiltonâs eyes being his most captivating feature that makes them fall for him in âHelplessâ and âSatisfiedâ. So with Maria here itâs no different. She and Angelica both specifically sing that their situation is bearable because they can âkeep his eyes in my lifeâ.
Hamiltonâs âI donât want youâ line in âSay No To Thisâ.
The plea to âstayâ both Eliza and Maria sing to Hamilton.
âHelplessâ, another Eliza motif Maria borrows.
The âAaron Burr, sirâ motif. ââŚthat I can, maâamâ is sung to the same tune, showing along with the title that Burr (a supporter of womenâs equality) respects Maria as his equal.
âSay No To Thisâ, in a proper reprise.
The âI am not throwing away my shotâ motif.
âThe world seemed to burnâ in âBurnâ.
âThe Reynolds Pamphletâ, also a brief reprise.
âYou lit my heart aflameâ in âSatisfiedâ.
The âsatisfiedâ motif.
The âenoughâ motif. Oh look, Eliza again.
#ahhhhhhh#i love it i love it#and wanted being the title with hamilton's motif being wheather he's satisfied

thinking about that time I was at some kind of diversity and inclusion thing that involved discussion in small groups and one straight girl said she really wanted to be a good ally but sometimes there were some things she just didnât know and was too afraid to ask for fear of accidentally being offensive. and as the only queer person in this 4-5 person group I said well go ahead and ask me, I donât care if you accidentally use the wrong term right now or whatever, itâs better to talk about it and learn something, I love talking about queerness and Iâll answer the best I can. and she just looked so nervous and in the end wound up refusing to ask for fear of causing offense. and it wasnât just the group setting, Iâve known straight people to act similarly even when itâs just one on one
and just. you guys. this is what purity culture and the âif you donât know something you were never a real ally in fact youâre a bigot in fact youâre worse than bigots because you pretended not to be oneâ attitude does. how can our allies be allies if theyâre scared to talk to us? to ask questions, to make mistakes, to learn? can we please bring back the idea of âin good faithâ? thereâs way more to say here about identity politics and virtue signaling and acting like language is more important than action but Iâm too tired for that right now
please feel free to add to the discussion (regardless of if youâre queer or not), I would love to hear about peopleâs experiences with this and if others feel differently about it
#AMEN FELLOW HUMAN#im queer myself and i know how this feels#we need more open spaces were people both queer or straight or abled or disabled can just talk to each other#Reblogs#The more you know#queer#queer pride#biseuxal

Josuke Higashikata has anger issues and we should talk about that in a non-memey way.
Weâve all seen the memes. Josuke gets really pissed if you talk shit about his hair. But itâs a bit deeper than just irrational hairstyle rage. In this essay I will dissect an aspect of Josukeâs character that, despite being often talked about, is never truly discussed. His anger.Â
Keep reading
#fuck yes#and this is even without mentioning his saviour#the way josuke idolised him so much i think may be because they were both outcasts in what was seen as typical society#and yet if this delinquent could be so heroic maybe josuke decided to emaulate that#hence the protectiveness

// nsft mention, k*nk mention, abuse mention, k*dnapping mention, d//dlg mention, l*li/p*do mention, r*pe/r*pe k*nk/C-N-C mention, ED/drug romanticizing mention, let me know if i need to add more warnings.
i need to rant about this so bad it makes me so angry
will start under the cut
if you're one of those blogs that posts the lana del rey/lolita/etc type "aesthetic" (i think i saw somewhere its called 'coquette'?) in which there's pictures of """cutesy""" malnourished girls that are CLEARLY just th*nspo, "hard k*nk" where freaks get off to scenes of s*xual kidnapping, and C-N-C(if you don't know what this means, it stands for "consensual non-consent" aka roleplaying getting r*ped during s*x because you get off to it) and dressing like a child during s*x(using pacifiers, onesies, diapers, doing kids activities etc), abuse k*nks, drug content(specifically cigarettes or pills usually) and how they're "aesthetic" or whatever, dd///lg content, anything involving big men and tiny frail looking girls that is fucking OBVIOUSLY supposed to be "jailbait" p*rn, l*licon(even non s*xual. this includes stuff like art i just saw of a grown man holding a little girl tenderly.) etc etc etc. just know you are genuinely deplorable and the scum of the earth.
look i usually NEVER say this. i pride myself on my kindness and i always try to be open minded. but anybody who's posting, following, supports, is into, WHATEVER, that content, you disgust me. your content encourages violent r*pe culture. you're why little girls like me got taken advantage of and had our lives ruined for a long time. you're the reason why thousands of people die from starving themselves, from overdosing. you are a horrible fucking person.
i don't CARE if you're a victim of the actual depraved acts you're roleplaying, you are NOT "coping". your "coping mechanism" is just giving in to your trauma, convincing yourself that being r*ped or s*xually abusing children is okay or even 'hot' because you're unconsciously seeking to be abused more. it happens to tons of victims, myself included, but the difference between people like me and pathetic excuses for living things like you is we don't give up. we take the initiative to get better instead of posting snuff and acting like it's even remotely okay. YOU'RE NOT RECLAIMING SHIT. you are harming yourself and harming thousands of others. i hope you get off the internet and learn to be better than the waste of space you are right now.
you're a fucking monster. your actions are part of a process that has people dying. what you're doing is killing people. you're not quirky, you're not special, you're not important for posting what you do. nobody likes you and nobody wants you around until you learn to stop being the fucking rotting slimy mold clusters of human beings you are. fuck you. fuck you on behalf of me and everyone that was raped, fuck you on behalf of me and everyone that was a victim of pedophilia, fuck you on behalf of anyone who has ever gone through sex trafficking or kidnapping, fuck you on behalf of the innocent children who just want to be happy that are getting ogled by disgusting piece of shit old men, fuck you on behalf of me and everyone who struggles or has struggled with an ED, fuck you on behalf of anyone who has ever had to deal with substance abuse.
you are a stain on society and a failure.
#YES YES YES YES YES#I swear i have seen so many fuckers using trauma as an excuse#your trauma isnt an excuse for you to get involved in so many others getting hurt!!#tw ed mention#tw nsft#tw kink mention#tw kidnap mention#tw disordered eating#tw dd/lg#tw c/gl#tw lolita#tw lolicon#tw cnc#tw r*pe#tw drug mention#rant#tw p*dophilia mention#tw abuse mention#tw cigarettes#tw overdose#tw p*rn#tw coquette

[text ID: I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.]

You know, I feel that Joseph would not be swayed at all by Ceaser's "sweet talking". I think on the surface he finds it funny. But underneath he probably finds it annoying because he feels that thise words are cheap and have been said to many other people before him. It doesn't make him feel special like it's suppose to. Caeser has to learn that Joseph values honesty and hates shallowness. I would actually like a fic like this. Where Caesar wants to get with Joseph and tries to put the moves on him only to get shut down over and over again. It is nor until he actually is himself that Joseph seems interested and Joseph has to explain he is not going to accept cheap words he wants something real.
