For me, as an amateur 'artist', it also helped me get into that hobby. Gartic Phone is an enviroment where nobody expects a good quality drawing, and that almost nonexistent pressure was really nice, and helped me get a bit out of my comfort zone with showing off what I draw.

Also, Gartic Phone is also just pretty funny, so you even get a reward for practicing!

If you are an artist that hates doing lineart or sketching, start playing Gartic Phone, and play a lot

I feel like after I started playing with my friends all fridays, now I can just draw something without sketching anything. The little time really helps your hand get loose, express an idea with as few elements as possible, and idk, just draw things

So here's something that I just keep noticing again and again...

When you start reaching the higher ranks/levels of whatever online game you're playing, it seems like the toxicity, bad manners, whining 9 year Olds... all of that just seems to die down. Heavily.

And as soon as I realised that, I remembered that one study which linked sexism to a worse performance in video games. I'm a dude so I can't really say a lot about the sexism part, but in general, maaany of the people I played with/against were pretty decent. The outliers are usually the toxic players.

Below are a couple of experiences I had in a few different games. Keep in mind a majority of these happened multiple times.

- Random teammate in Rocket League spams "What a save!" multiple times, then messes up the easiest goal/defence in history. Same goes for opponents.

- Clash Royale opponent spams emotes, then gets crushed in a single rush by me. And whenever I play 2v2 with a teammate that does this, I usually have to carry them.

- Some player in Fortnite snipes me, then just laughs or emotes for a whole minute while I wait to load into the next match. Whenever I check their stats with some tool online, it's absolutely terrible.

- In the first League of Legends match I ever played, my team lost and someone from the other team hurled a bunch of racial slurs at us and said we suck. They died like 20 times. I uninstalled the game right after, that was NOT a good first impression of the player base.

- In ROUNDS, I faced a guy who was winning 3-0, told me to "uninstall the game, bitch" and then lost 3-5.

These are just the most "presentable" examples, but it's just something I notice almost daily now. Though I should mention that there are also toxic players who are good at games, though that's rather rare, at least I've barely seen any.

I'm not quite sure where this post is going, but if you wanna take something from it, I guess ignore rude remarks while gaming and be more confident against these opponents, because according to their behaviour, there's a good chance they suck.

So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.

AI art bros are big mad about it.

Oh hey, something I might as well mention, like 5 minutes after posting this, I made a version of it that has Aephorul's "face" slapped on top of it. Never actually submitted this to Tumblr until now, so here ya go.

So I got Fire Emblem Three Houses last night. I am the worst teacher ever.

For reference, I picked that Blue Lion House, and also this is my first FE game.

Anyways, I failed the Mock Battle like 4 times, took some time to learn the teaching system which caused some of my students to learn pretty... interesting skills, and every time I take another student out for a "field trip", they die. Happened twice already. I'm surprised the monestary still lets me take more of them.

My shitty teaching skills aside, I'm having a blast with the game!

So recently during a radio show, the Chrono Trigger creators took a look at Sea of Stars, and praised the game, saying it looks just like Chrono Trigger and that they did a good job on the game.

So I took that information to r/JRPG, who acts like the game's proceeds are funding ISIS or something.
