(very short) PART 2 TO the aftermath ☆ UNDER THE CUT!! :D

Ugh. why is it so dark here? wait. I'm running? why are there triangles again? You think to yourself. This situation is scary to you, as it reminds you of the trauma you had dealt with roughly two (2) months ago. You feel tears running down your cheeks and you feel as if everything is happening again. You feel someone shaking you, and you wake up from the nightmare. "Jonas?" you ask before rubbing your eyes and opening them.

“Are you okay?” Jonas asks in a sweet voice. “yeah.. I just…” you just stutter out, Jonas is confused and just waits on you to finish your sentence “I had a dream… i-it was about what happened on uh, Edward’s Island.” you say, stumbling over your words like they’re shoes 4 sizes too big, but he just looks at you “I’m sorry…” he says, then kisses your tears away. “I love you, my beautiful girl “ he says and you just light up with a smile, as this is the first time he’s said this to you “I love you too” and he kisses your forehead, as you two enjoy each other’s warmth.

As Ben and his girlfriend cuddled in their shared apartment flat, with Ben sitting with Devi's head on his lap. Ben was doing his homework for college. Devi had been drifting in and out of sleep for who knows how long, and she had no clue as to what time it was. She started at him, thinking about how hot he looks when he's focused. "Hey" Devi decided to not go back to sleep. "oh, hi David" Ben replied nonchalantly, still focusing on his work. Devi just kept looking at him, hoping for even just some eye contact, even though she knew it would give her butterflies and she's have to look away. Devi knew that the entire time they were 'enemies' and 'competing' was really just them flirting without actually flirting. Ben still hadn't spared her a glance, and after about 5 minutes she says "Bennnnnn" followed by a huge sigh. He knew she was bored but he was busy, and hoped she would respect that. Devi starts to poke Ben's arm, and he says, "What's that for?", genuinely confused. Devi just kisses him, not in a stupid horny teen way but in a sweet, loving way. He kisses back (obviously), and seems to have missed this. with both of their schedules this week, most of their interactions were small. They were both thankful for this time together. Ben breaks the kiss, only to turn off his laptop and kiss Devi again. These moments had felt so magical to the couple. This was all perfect to them. Devi breaks the kiss after a little this time, to ask "who's making dinner tonight?" because they have a tradition to play a random video game and whoever looses gets to cook dinner, and yet somehow Devi seems to win majority of the time. "I can if yoy want me to" Ben offers. Devi nods her head and kisses him once more. they both end up laughing for no reason and Ben says "I didn't know how lucky I was. Thanks, David."

You were on the boat after that whole shebang went down on Edward's Island. Drifting in and out of sleep as the boat rocks peacefully, that is until someone sits next to you and whispers, "I know you're not asleep, y/n." It was a familiar voice. Jonas? Yes. it was Jonas. You open your eyes, happy to see the guy you've caught feelings for. "How'd you know?" You question him. "I just do." He laughs. You join the conversation along with Alex, since she also had just woken up.

Ren suggests you all take a picture, and Jonas grabs your hand and leads you outside where you all pose for it. Jonas's arms around you and yours around him, you had butterflies. Maybe even birds in your stomach, it felt so real? Somehow, you didn't even notice that Ren was side hugging Nona until you looked back at the picture later. once the picture was taken, everyone went back to sit down inside the boat, but you and Jonas stay back as he lights a cigarette and smokes it. "Want a hit?" he offers. You made a smartass comment about how you'd be indirectly kissing if you did that, but then you think it wouldn't be so bad. "What if we didn't do the indirect part? just kissing?" You say, and he just stares at you for a solid 10 seconds. or maybe it just felt that long because you asked a risky question.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. Did I make it weir-" You got cut off by his lips on yours, and it feels so electric. you'd never loved anyone this much, and it just made you happy to see he felt that way too.
