Long time no post, here's whats happened: I went skiing with jasu last Sunday, first time ever, only the black (hardest) slope was open so it was a real trial by ice and snow. It was an hour and half train+bus ride to szscyrk where the skicenter was, and on the way back we jumped to the wrong train. Thankfully we eventually got home OK. Yesterday Miro and I saw Dream Theater at Spodek, it was super. And finally we've started learning polish with this private teacher. The language is realllyyy hard -_-

I've been working the graveyardshift now for 4 nights (3 more nights to go). Because of that I have not seen people, save for Jasu and Miro who live with me. Feeling like I'm losing touch with reality.
The nights go by by watching movies, I do not have anywork to do because everyone is sleeping. Some times there are a few phonecalls in the morning, but thats it.
And here are some more pics of cool things:

So we finally got our new apartment! I'ts this old-lady-style place where it's warmer outside than in, After moving in we realized we did not have anything and figured that the cheapest and easiest way to remedy this was to take the bus to ikea.
Never been there before that soo... it was interesting.
Figuring what to write about since there has been sooooo muuuuuch stuff going on!
Krakow was great fun.
We can finally make real dinner and wash our clothes since we moved out from the hotel.
Aaannnd we don't have our own internet here yet, surfing on my neighbors unprotected wifi!
My floor is four. that still rhymes.

Woo!!!
We found a great apartment!!! But there's lots of other ppl who want it too, so fingers crossed!
Yesterday I was in this 'English meeting' where there were ppl from all around the world who work/study in Katowice come to hang out and socialize. I met this Brazilian dude who was an amazing polyglot, he even spoke Finnish to me.
It was weird. And again we went for one drink after work, and ended up drinking a whole plate of cheesecake shots in carpe diem.

A week has gone by
So the first week is over, there were lots of stuff to do and lots of beer to drink. Mainly beer.
Things I've done: Bowling, tourist touring, meeting new peeps; alot of them.
And ofc, beer. Like, every-freaking-day.
There's this club called Energy 2000, it's like the biggest club around here, and it's HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGEEEEE. Like. Wtf.
We've done some apartment hunting, but still quiet, hopefully we will get a new place soon.

FIRST UPDATE FROM KATOWICE, POLAND!
The first two days were full of red tape, and we did not get a chance to begin working properly, just watching how things are done around here. In my experience this is basic service desk job.. Monday tuesday night I slept like two hours tops, then woke up around 4 am to prepare to leave for the airport. Faza was kind enough to drive me there. After an hour we arrived at Arlanda, Stockholm where we met Jasu, the third finnish guy who began working for barona. There we sat for like 3 hours waiting for our connecting flight. (I mainly slept) And the two hours between arlanda and krakow I slept too. When we finally arrived to krakow we were kinda lost. "where to now??" then we found a taxi driver with a sign for us! (YAY) it was a little under an hour drive to Katowice. We went to the office where we will work and filled in some paper work, so more red tape, blah, boring! and started talking with all the people working already there, most seem kinda like um... normal? I am the only one with piercings and what not, and did not get any comments about that, so it's all good. We got to know the office and it seemed like a really long day, afterwards Kasia (our contact here) showed us a little around town we decided to get a few beers and watch adventure time at our place! All in all, a good first day. Today we went to the office around 7am, we were suppoused to have our training, but all we did was watch how other people are working there, so no real training. We got our polish bank accounts and mobile phone numbers, with the help of Kasia again (we would be lost without her) Kasia told us that we were the first actually nice people from finland to arrive there. I guess all finnish nerds are kinda shy or something. Afterward me, miro and jassu were like "what now?" and decided to walk around town to see whats there. We ended up in this amazing cellar bar where a beer costs under an euro! Amaahzing. After that we went for sushi near our place and went to check out other bars, after one bar we ended up in the first bar again, cant remember the name. :< Polish people seem really nice, few of them speak english but I've learned a few polish words already! (dont know how to spell them) Dzikuje = Thank you Piwo = beer Tak = yes Njie mowu pu polsku = I dont speak polish So far so good! I feel a little bit sad to have left all of you in finland (or where ever, mostly finland) but still this feels like the right thing for me at this point of my life. And yes, we live on the opposite side of the road from Tikkurila. :--DDD
