How does one make into Ivy Leagues - Live Webinar
Ivy League is an association of eight prestigious colleges in the USA.
It is known for raising the bar in education space, especially in Northeastern United States. The Universities that are part of the association are
Brown, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania, Cornel, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia. Ivy league colleges are reputed for holding an impeccable record in academics and extracurriculars as well. Even in terms of social elitism, the Ivy League has a special place among the colleges in the USA. Consequentially, an increasing number of prospective students have been eyeing the Ivy Leagues for admissions which has also increased the funding exponentially over the years.
Due to the selective nature of these universities and the increasing number of applications, the acceptance rate is typically very low. For instance, the admission rates were under 20% in 2019. One needs to prove that their potency in the academics is better than other applicants to get into these colleges.
Ivy League colleges consider SAT, ACT, LSAT scores for admissions. GPA, recommendations along with academics also play a vital role in the admission process. Therefore, one has to make sure that he is comparatively one step ahead in all these aspects and know the monetary aspects as well as admission requirements for his pursuit of an undergraduate degree in the Ivy League colleges. Off late, the number of students taking SAT Prep Course exam has been decreasing as there is a lot of criticism happening on its fee structure and on the aspects that the SAT is testing students on. Critics says that SAT is only for the wealthy and the exam is more about memorization rather than application of knowledge. On the other hand ACT is becoming a student鈥檚 first priority as a standardized entrance exam to take for admissions. ACT has become the main Competitor to SAT.
