minecraft body language related things
- anything related to crouching. slowly going up to someone while crouching to be sneaky. spam crouching in “friend?? friend!!” crouching and looking down because you’re sad :(
- punching up in the air enthusiastically like “hey let’s go!!” punching the blocks underneath you rapidly as if moving your hands around in conversation. affectionately punching other players like you would pull someone’s ear.
- i dunno if this is just my group but full netherite players criting each other with axes and swords because it barely does any damage and it’s fun
- aggressive spinning to goof off
- almost-but-not eating something to make obnoxious noises
- that thing streamers/youtubers do when you can tell they’re staring at themselves in f5 to talk to an audience
- also, when you can TELL someone has paused to look at you in optifine zoom
- forcing yourself into swim/fly mode on land for maximum silly mode.
- waiting for someone to find where you are so you’re like. in a body of water going straight up and down with a riptide trident until they do. or just flying up and down with elytra
- getting in a boat on land and spinning in circles like “hey I’m bored let’s go”
- slowly swapping out tools either as a threat, or to dramatically reveal what item you have
- putting armor on as a threat, or taking it off as a “I’m relaxed” thing
- playing hot potato with a junk item neither player wants and chasing each other around with it
- i just think running around with a loaded crossbow out is really funny. you look like an oblivion npc
- loading up a trident throw but Not letting it go and holding it back as a threat
- rapidly flicking levers/opening chests/pressing buttons/etc to annoy the other person, especially while they’re talking
- closing a door in someone’s face
- playing a block in front of someone. they break it. you place it again. this continues for two more minutes
- jumping down at someone from a higher place like “HI I’M HERE NOW!”
- sitting in cauldrons. become soup.
- music disc dancing. moving around as much as possible for pigstep and slow crouching to cat
- being offended/sad etc and digging down a few blocks to sulk
- anything along the lines of a player taking time to make something for a joke. someone says “let’s talk” and the other busts out a crafting table and crafts a stair so they can pretend to sit
i love minecraft guys :)

before the apocalypse: in the middle of decorating my cute-ass house. featuring the terrariums fang made me, lots of firefly jars from the twilight forest, a feather from my phoenix who died in the middle of a sunny field for unknown reasons, my white peacock zevran who shat so much gold (no literally) i built him a secret room out of it, and the kung fu painting because i’m achievement hunter trash c’:

If there's one thing that warms my heart a bit, it's how much players have always loved Endermen.
I've been playing minecraft since before wolves were added. I remember Endermen coming out, and just how much me and my siblings loved them. We were hardly alone. They're one of the most popular mobs in the game.
Because here's the thing about Endermen, they were the very first mob added to minecraft that felt ALIVE. They came before villagers, back when piglins were pigmen and only existed in zombie form, back before there was anything even remotely human that you could vibe with. Even after Villagers, even after Piglins, there's still something special to Endermen that captures players' hearts.
I think it comes down to the fact that Endermen are functionally useless to the player if you don't murder them. They can't trade or barter with you. They have no dungeons or fortresses for you to take from. They can even be quite annoying depending on what blocks you make builds out of. Endermen have little regard for the concept of personal property.
But, despite all of that, an Enderman isn't hostile to you by default. You never have to fight them. All they ask is that you look away. As long as you do that, then they're more than content to exist in your presence. Going about their day, doing their own thing, picking up blocks and moving them around.
And people love them. They love these alien creatures who have nothing to offer but their existence. I know so many players who go out of their way to not bother Endermen when they encounter one. Players who find one and keep it in a boat just to have some company. Endermen are adored by players just for being there.
Why? Because we were alone. We were alone in a world, and then we weren't. Endermen are strange and useless and dangerous but they are alive. They made us less alone. They were willing to exist with us peacefully when nothing else was. And that was more than enough to prove their value. They were friends to us, because they were there.
Even after we got villagers, even after we got piglins, maybe even after we found other players and servers and worlds upon worlds of other people, we never forgot our first friends. The ones who we didn't understand, who would attack us for a glance, but who were there when nobody else was. They were there, they existed, and we didn't need anything else to love them.

its so funny how you can easily tell which mobs were added in recently and which mobs are older, even when youre a newcomer. because like:
foxes:
run from the player
creep up on prey and jumps several blocks to pounce onto them
nocturnal
bark/howl at night
rest during the day, occasionally sitting or sleeping under a tree
can carry things in its mouth and if it’s food, it will eat it
can get stuck for a moment if they pounce into snow
dolphins:
will attack the player if provoked
“play” with entities in the water
will lead you to underwater ruins if fed
swimming with one gives you a special effect
will jump around you while youre in a boat
occasionally leap out of the water, and can even jump to other bodies of water
cows:
moo occassionally
can be milked
