Being inclusive to autistics as an autistic is recognising and accepting that we all have conflicting wants or needs.

You may hate bright lights but another autistic may love them.

You may hate being in crowds but another autistic might love that.

You may hate tags on your shirt but another autistic may actually like having tags on their shirt.

You may love bland foods but another autistic may love rich or extreme flavours.

You may love infodumping to people but it may be too overwhelming for another autistic.

A spectrum includes all ends of extremes. And all of it deserves to be accepted and accommodated for.

I hate the rhetoric that somehow arose that "Sharing similar experience when someone vents = an autism thing" and "Getting annoyed when someone shares a similar experience = a neurotypical thing". I'm diagnosed Lvl 2 autistic and I get upset when people share their own experience as soon as I vent. And it is mostly neurotypical people who do it to me.

Bc it's like I talk to them about something that really upsets me -> the other person immediately talks about an experience vaguely related -> it ends in me needing to put in energy to comfort the person when they didn't help me whatsoever.

I sincerely thing it is just a general personality trait and not tied to autism or neurotypicals.

I'm getting another psychological evaluation sometime this year and I have a whole doozy of new thoughts and feelings to share... IDK it feels like I have become an entirely different person. Again.

oh yea and going back to therapy even though I don't feel like I need it... but someone else said I did so okay

happy autism acceptance month. this month, regardless if you're abled or disabled, allistic or autistic, try to consider if you really do accept people with autism. all aspects of autism. people who:

without volume control

talk to themselves or make sounds (seemingly) at random

have huge screaming meltdowns

stim any way, including smearing body fluids

only talk about one subject and will never "move on"

stare inappropriately

struggle with personal hygiene

are unemployed

who left education early ("dropped out")

has a carer and will always need one

don't use mouth words to communicate

have comorbid intellectual disability and don't want to separate that from their autism

autism acceptance month can't truly be about acceptance if we don't broaden our understanding of autism and confront our internal biases. these things listen above are normal parts of autism. sometimes very common. there's stigma around them, but that's stigma we can actively fight.

i'm in a bit of a foul mood bc I was looking forward to going to the carnival but I caught a cold from my family... I told my mom to stop taking my sister to a certain group bc she catches sickness sooo often from there, but nobody listens to me and of course my sister caught a cold and now I caught the cold from her... I also wasted money on materials for a costume bc I was going to dress up -_- I'm tired of living with other people but no rental house accepts me!!!

additionally I have severe toothaches and period on top of the cold and it is bothering me quite a bit.. especially since I can't very well go to the dentist with a cold r.i.p

I think people have to realize they if they want to avoid everyone who uses generative A//I, that means avoiding a huge majority of the general population

It's easy to find A//I haters on the internet but every single person I know IRL uses Ch@tGPT or generates A//I images for fun or whatever.

You don't have to stop opposing A//I but at some point you need to have grace for even people who use A//I. It's like how v3gans need to coexist with meat eaters despite how unethical and destructive for the planet that the meat industry is. Or how I have to coexist with ableists and sanists and bug killers bc that's 99% of the population even though it upsets me.

I very rarely eat candy and I don't care for it much (besides chocolate of course). But sometimes I eat it and it tastes like I'm eating plastic and petroleum and toxins and it is quite entertaining to pretend I'm eating substances no human was ever meant to consume

sry but I want to throw a brick at people when they call sprout a "Background character" he kinda is in MY//M but who gives a sh*t. He was a main character in the only media that matters... and calling him a background character is like calling Tempest Shadow a background character just bc that's what she was in Fi//M. I wish NOTHING came out besides AN//G and AM//BA jesus lord almighty the world would be so much better

ppeople say Too Many people seem to have DID or personality disorders now but these things are linked to trauma, and trauma is VERY common bc a lot of people are sadly evil. IDK it makes sense to me that so many people have diagnoses caused by severe trauma... especially since people are pressured to have kids, then people who don't 100% realize the impacts of having a kid have them, and then they treat them terribly and abuse them bc they're not the right people to be parents.
