What are Chara-Critters (my original species/persona)?

Chara-Critters are manifestations of someone’s torn psyche that look like colorful chibi animals. Due to this metaphysical nature, the critters are technically genderless. But since they take on characteristics of the person they are a reflection of, they consider themselves the same gender as their person.

Each critter has two versions, an Ego and a Persona. An Ego Chara-Critter is a reflection of one’s true self- specifically a self that a person feels unable to express. As a result, an Ego is reserved and has a defeatist mentality. The unique symbol on their back is an abstract mark that reflects a person’s heart. Many meanings can be gathered from its shape, but the important part is that the appearance is in the exact style or image an Ego’s person likes.

Meanwhile a Persona Chara-Critter is the fake self a person makes to be liked or succeed. They are incredibly loud and tend to overshadow their Ego. Because of this, it appears like a Persona will stop at nothing to become their person’s real self. Whether or not that is the case depends on if the Ego and Persona are friends or have a toxic relationship. The unique symbol on a Persona’s back consists of a semi-abstract representation of what a Persona’s person feels they’ve been denied as their true selves with an X over it (I.E. a person feeling they cannot be loved having a Persona with a crossed out heart on their back).

The persona I use is a Chara-Critter named Vernal. I might design a handful to sell as adoptables, but these aren't a closed species or anything.

I don't like having goals since they severely stress me out. But I do have a few hopes for this year! Aaaaand then I promptly started college classes I don't want to be in and all my energy for doing things has been reduced to almost zero. So idk if I'll be able to do anything this year or if my life will be sucked out of me.

I can admit when I'm wrong.

I'm a little suspicious of the fairy companions since if they got PreCure forms they'd continue the pattern I had originally crunched the numbers for. But now that the series is upon us the fun is in watching instead of theorizing!

UNHINGED PRECURE SEASON PREDICTION TIME!!

Using numbers I've crunched myself and this meme I made last year, allow me to share my predictions for the upcoming PreCure season.

So here's the trademarked logo

Off the bat, a tried and true music theme instead of using music tangentially like Star Twinkle did. Alongside that, it looks to have themes of friendship (go figure a kids show values friendship lmao). But as for the predictions, I'd like to start by identifying the numerical patterns we've seen in the group number.

From Futari Wa to Hugtto, the group number has been all over the place. Interestingly, we've had a perfectly consistent final group number pattern for the past FIVE years. According to this pattern, the Kimi to Idol would have a final group number of 5. I'll return to this number in just a bit as I don't believe this season will have a group of 5- despite what the numbers are telling me.

I don't know where I got 80% from, but it's more like 70% of PreCure logos have the team colors represented in the logo. Kimi to Idol is not the latest exception.

This logo has several suspiciously placed colors. Black, white, pink, yellow, purple, and blue. But notice how these colors are oriented. Black and white are separated on the "a" part of purikyua. Reminiscent of the pair of hearts used in the original Futari Wa logo.

With the more obvious themes in the title, three oddly colored hearts- two together and one alone, the number of suspicious colors being six- which is divisible by three, and the fact we haven't had a team of three in almost three years and there's been no final team number of three in almost nine years..

I know the lineup

White and pink lead Cure transforms with her partner who is a black and blue Cure a la Futari Wa, Splash Star, SUITE!!, and Mahoutsukai. Their sixth ranger has two options. She will either not value cooperation and be a lone wolf type until eventually becoming a yellow and purple Cure. Or she is a close friend to our MCs and gives fantastic friendship advice- the type of character we want to see become a PreCure because of how much we love her, and unlike this season, our love is rewarded with her becoming a yellow and purple sixth ranger. For the former storyline the yellow cure could be named Cure Sonata, but I don't have any other predictions for names since those are pretty hard to theorize.

Now we wait to see how my predictions pan out. And hopefully Toei fixed whatever problem led to that massive leak last year.

Sonic 3 spoiler

I think in the next movie Dr Eggman should stay dead and instead return as a robot replica of himself but designed to look like modern Eggman from the games.

Am I almost 25? Yes. Am I getting married relatively soon? Also yes. And despite those facts, did I get emotional at Sonic 3 and cheer at the end credits? Absolutely yes. I'm full of whimsy you see.

You mentioned how Cure Passion and Cure Sunshine were your favorites, so that gave me an idea to draw them together. It eventually gave me the idea to draw them decorating a Christmas tree and putting presents under it.

I gave them Christmas outfits and I put Chiffon and Potpourri in the work as well. The presents are wrapped in the colors of their other teammates from their seasons. The tree is decorated in Passion and Sunshine's colors, motifs and brooches and the angel is Cure Passion's version of Cure Angel.

I had a lot of fun making this and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
