mentally still in march 2020 when we thought it would just be a two months holiday from school
#it'll be just you and one nurse for 12 people and you'll have to do all the housekeeping and maintenance#because we can't send anyone to help#i was getting ready to start work on a covid isolation unit as a CNA in long term care#i had no idea how bad it was going to get#that should have been my red flag#but that extra $5 an hour wa going to help me get through nursing school#it got so bad that i can't think about that year without having an anxiety attack#think mash#but not in any way entertaining#i probably have ptsd#i still have nightmares almost every night#covid almost killed me

#tasting the food#i did this too in the months after o had covid#i developed a complete tolerance to spicy foods because it was the only way i felt like i was#i finally got my taste back 6 months later and ever since then ive been much more tolerant to spicy foods#covid really is the weirdest#i was eating for the texture#not the flavor#and now i hate chicken wings on the bone because of the texture of the meat#found out i still hate shriml even when i cant taste it
