Which NGO works for the malnutrition kids?
Tumblr media
Thousands of charity organizations give us the opportunity to feed the hungry but only a few work to transform lives. Sponsor a child through World Vision India and bring transformation in the lives of malnourished children.
4-year-old Pravanjan lives with his parents and three sisters in a community we serve in Khagaria, Bihar. Pravanjan is a very active and adorable child. He plays with his sisters every day and his presence creates a cheerfulness around him. He welcomes the guests with an enthusiastic smile and laughter.
But this was not the case of Pravanjan in first two years of his life. He was thin and weak and couldn’t stand or walk. His father Sharma is a daily wage labourer and his mother Seetha is a homemaker.
“I did not have any money to meet a doctor or to buy medicines. All I could do was to long for any possibility that would make my son to stand and walk,” says Pravanjan’s mother
Pravanjan was two years old when a World Vision India staff met him. He was so weak that he couldn’t even turn himself over. His MUAC (Mid Upper Arm Circumference) value was only 11.3 cms and his weight only 7.75 kg, making him the most malnourished child in the community. Read More: https://worldvisionindia.medium.com/which-ngo-works-for-the-malnutrition-kids-fa67d00087d0

Tumblr media
Hunger is a pressing issue. World Vision India addresses the root causes of hunger and malnutrition and brings just solutions to this complex issue. Sponsor a child through World Vision India and save a child from hunger and malnutrition. Make a hunger donation. Priya, a 2-year-old girl from a small village of in the state of Jharkhand was identified as malnourished by World Vision India. At 19 months, her weight was just 6.5 kg and her MUAC measurement was only 11.5 cm, which is lesser than the ideal range. MUAC, is a Mid-upper arm circumference measurement that allows health workers to quickly determine if a child is acutely malnourished. Priya and her parents live in a remote location and had to walk for more than four kilometres to buy groceries and vegetables. Since they were daily wage labourers they did not have enough money to buy vegetables every day. “The money we earn daily will be fully spent in buying basic things and we won’t have anything left to purchase other things. I often borrowed vegetables and groceries from our neighbours. I used to be embarrassed to do that,” says Priya’s mother. Read More: https://worldvisionindia.medium.com/how-can-we-solve-hunger-and-malnutrition-6e4e5b2dce3
