i had such a lovely dream last night 😭
i was at the premiere of a film i directed and cillian murphy starred in and the cast and staff were taking a group pic. but someone accidentally shoved me and i tripped because my dress was really long and cillian caught me 😭 he helped me stand straight and i thanked him and he smiled. plus he smelled like lemon and mint aftershave and it smelled so nice when i usually hate lemon scented stuff. i woke up after that but it was nice to interact with him in my dream since i'll never get to meet him irl 😭
anyways i'm almost done with writing the last bit of ateez's storyline so i'll post that soon!

hi! I'm not sure if this is actually something, while I'm not at all new to ateez I'm new to ateez lore/theories lmao, but I've noticed that hurricanes have been mentioned quite a bit in their songs and have just been curious if that could have a deeper meaning? I would love to hear your opinion on this, if you have one; I enjoy reading your posts!
(sorry to bother!!)
hi!!! firstly i'm so happy to know you enjoy my posts, this made my day so much better! 💞
it was when i listened to new world that i noticed the use of hurricanes in the lyrics; hurricanes cause chaos and can't be controlled, which ties into the revolution being spread in world z through the black pirates. the government can't control the 'outbreak'; they can try to surpress it but will fail
i did a bit of research and hurricanes apparently represent our innate power humans. i'm not sure if i interpreted it correctly but i believe innate powers are natural abilities within us since our birth. maybe the black pirates' revolution has caused people to discover skills that were locked away previously and now they are able to display them
the hurricane symbol also represents 'the hidden shadow', which i think encompasses fear and trouble, and i read this too: 'signifies the turbulence within us, a sign that our emotions are running wild and out of control'
so altogether i think hurricanes in ateez's lore represents the revolution; it's turned world z into chaos and it's uncontrollable, but the people who are free now live in fear, especially since the cost of freedom is potential death at the disposal site

seonhwa's smile in the track previews is kinda menacing, which makes me think my theory of him turning into a spy for z might be possible?? plus it also looks like san and yeosang get captured, so maybe hwa ratted them out??
Random notes + stuff (2)
Just watched the performance video for ‘Paradigm’ and I have a couple of thoughts:
- First, paradigm is a typical example or pattern of something. In the storyline, ATEEZ are breaking the paradigm enforced by the central government, and creating their own, where people are free to choose their life (hence the lyrics ‘whole new paradigm’)
- In the beginning Yeosang says ‘someone calls my name, wake me up’. He also does the eye sign that Hongjoong did in Say My Name, which may be significant (not sure what to make of that yet)
- There’s a theory circulating that Yeosang is a siren, which could be plausible. Sirens are mythical creatures who lure sailors to their deaths by hypnotising them with their singing/beautiful appearances. The intro for this album is called ‘Siren’, which could mean sirens as in alarms ringing everywhere in the dystopian world from the rebellion in action, or could be related to Yeosang, since to me it sounds like him singing in the intro
- Some evidence to support the siren theory: in the storyline Yeosang unknowingly lead his father to the warehouse where ATEEZ met and caused them to separate. When Yeosang was captured by the Android Guardians some of ATEEZ didn’t want to go back for him, but one of his drones flew into the warehouse and changed their minds, which made them go back to the dystopian world to rescue Yeosang
- Yeosang holding the broken Cromer and someone’s hand reaching out towards his (to me it looked like Hongjoong’s hand at the end of ‘Deja Vu’); again calling for their attention towards him. In one of the ‘Paradigm’ teasers he walks into a light, expecting us to follow him
- His character in ATEEZ lore is more influential than we’ve seen so far. There are subtle mysteries and unexplained things

ATEEZ COMEBACK ON DECEMBER 1ST WHOOOOOOO
i saw the comeback announcement and a couple of things caught my eye:
in the image on of the graffiti words says 'amistad', which is a film where an uprising occurs on a ship transporting slaves that goes wrong. i would highly recommend watching it, stellar cast, excellent performances all around. this is related to ateez's storyline; they are trying to organise a revolution but things are currently going wrong, with hwa and the young boy getting kidnapped. one major thing is that in the movie one of the slaves, cinque is able to free himself and he is the one who inspires the uprising among his fellow prisoners, so maybe in ateez's story there is someone else, another person freed from the government's control who helps ateez spread their revolution
2. another graffiti word i noticed is 'historia'. a google search led to vague results, but i saw a movie called 'la historia sin fin', or 'the neverending story'. the film is based on the book of the same name, and the plot is as follows:
'To escape from his dull life and bullies at school, Bastain takes refuge in an old book store. There, he begins reading an old storybook and finds himself drawn into the mythical world of Fantasia.'
There are several elements that resonate with ateez's storyline, which i'll copy in below:
'The book describes the fantasy world of Fantasia slowly being devoured by a malevolent force called "The Nothing". The Childlike Empress, who rules Fantasia, has fallen ill, and the young warrior Atreyu is tasked to discover a cure, believing that once the Empress is well, the Nothing will no longer be a threat.'
'Fantasia represents humanity's imagination and is thus without boundaries, while the Nothing is a manifestation of the loss of hopes and dreams.'
'Atreyu is given a medallion called the Auryn that can guide and protect him in the quest. The Auryn is a medallion with two snakes sculpted in relief, one light and one dark, biting each other's tails and with the phrase "Do what you want" on the back.'
'The two snakes biting their tails and intertwined represent the relationship between the "real" world of humans and the world of Fantasia, as long as both snakes bite their tails, both the real world and the world of Fantasia will remain standing, otherwise both worlds fall.'
'When carried by a human being, the Auryn fulfills his wishes until he reaches his true will, however, there is a risk that he will forget the real world completely and then cannot return. The place where these people who can no longer return to the real world reside is The City of Ancient Emperors.'
'Unlike other facets of the Áuryn in which it is always an object, at the end of the book they refer to it as a place. The Áuryn as a physical place is a portal formed by two giant snakes, which support and control each other to maintain the order of the universe.'
'In the middle of the Áuryn as a portal and the snakes, there is the Fountain where the Waters of Life gush forth... This portal is the connection between Fantasia and our world.'
'In the novel, it is said that the world of Fantasia was succumbing to the indifference of humans and thanks to the dreams and imagination of Bastián Baltasar Bux, balance was able to be restored.'
'The death of human dreams, and in the real world the crises, conflicts, wars and other evils of the world are the reflection of abandonment in the world of Fantasia.'
'...so it is suggested that the hope of our world is to turn again to dreams and return to hopes, no matter how fanciful they may be, in order to heal souls.'
'At the same time, it is observed that humans have a character in Fantasia that represents their other self, which again refers to the symbiosis of the two worlds.'
'Atreyu crosses the first gate, but is perplexed when the second gate—a mirror that shows the viewer's true self—reveals a boy which Bastian recognizes as himself. Atreyu eventually meets the Southern Oracle, who tells him that the only way to save the Empress is to find a human child who lives beyond the boundaries of Fantasia to give her a new name.'
'...the Empress' Ivory Tower'
'She further explains that, just as Bastian is following Atreyu's story, "others" are following Bastian's, making this part of the Neverending Story.'
'As the Nothing begins to consume the Tower, the Empress explains that Bastian must call out her new name to save Fantasia. Disbelieving he has been incorporated with the story, he denies these events actually happened. He gives in after she pleads directly to him to call out her new name, running to the window of the attic to call out "Moon Child".'
'Bastian awakens with the Empress, who presents him with a grain of sand – the sole remnant of Fantasia. The Empress tells Bastian that he has the power to bring Fantasia back with his imagination.'
---
i know that's a lot and there's also some which i haven't included since i'm still going through it. some of it might not even be relevant but it's still really interesting.
there's one more word in the image which i can't read, the purple one underneath the main writing. i can't take screenshots on my laptop for some reason so i can't paste it in this post, so if anyone can help me decipher it that would be great!

hey everyone i know it's been a while, stuff has been crazy lately!
i saw the comeback posters and i love the wonderland theme, which brings me to this: seonghwa is alice, and the girl/his will is the white rabbit. he followed her into the smoke, and he wants to save her from z's world.
ateez's will is probably to rescue hwa as well as the young boy, and also start the next phase of their plan in bringing down the government.
i would like to know if ateez's roles in bouncy are relevant, especially with yunho and jongho as police officers. probably nothing, but yeah.
it would be interesting to find out more about z; all we know for now is that he is cruel and clever. what is he going to do with hwa, the young boy and the girl? perhaps turn hwa into a spy? he has the girl to hold as hostage so that hwa will be forced do his bidding to save her, and maybe he might threaten the young boy by planning on going after his brother?
anyways i'd love to hear you guys' thoughts on this!

Overall summary of storyline so far (7/7)
Sorry it’s taken so long for this part to go up, my laptop is damaged and Tumblr was acting up on my phone :(
.
- ‘Is this really what you want?’ Yunho called out, panting, having made his way to Wooyoung. The boy’s brother replied ‘How should I know? I’ve never felt ‘want’ for anything before. I’m just trying to finish everything before I’m dragged off to the Disposal Site.’
- ‘What about your brother? Do you think your brother wants you to die?’ Wooyoung grabbed Yunho’s shaking shoulder; he knew what a brother’s death meant to Yunho. The boy’s brother, hearing Yunho’s words, looked down at his younger brother, who shouted ‘Brother no! Please! I just wanted to help you!’
- Just then, Guardians ran out of the academy building into the quad, and headed for the younger brother. ‘No...’ The boy’s brother called out quietly. ‘The Guardians will take my brother away, save him-’
- He turned towards Wooyoung and Yunho, but the movement caused the hand holding the window frame to slip, and he began to fall. Wooyoung, in shock, stretched out to help him, but his fingertips only grazed those of the boy’s brother
- Below in the quad, Hongjoong, San, Mingi, Jongho, Seonghwa, Yeosang and the younger boy shouted as they watched the scene. Seonghwa covered the younger boy’s eyes. At that moment, a light flashed behind Wooyoung. The Guardians headed for the younger boy on the quad stopped and stared at the flash. One of them called out ‘Quantum energy... it’s the Cromer!’
- When Wooyoung looked back, Yunho had disappeared. He reappeared in the air for an instant, wrapping his arms around the boy’s brother’s waist, and with another flash they both appeared safely on the ground next to Seonghwa and the younger boy. Seeing his brother safe in front of him, the younger boy burst into tears and ran into the arms of his brother. The two brothers held each other close, and through each other they felt a desperate sense of relief, love, and what ‘life’ was
- ‘What a relief. Or... maybe not.’ Jongho said as the others watched the two brothers embracing. He nodded at Guardians pouring into the quad from all directions after the news about the Cromer spread. Amongst the people on the quad, Seonghwa made eye contact with the female Thunder leader. On the surface, there was no change in her expression, but Seonghwa felt like she was smiling
- ‘Guess it can’t be helped.’ Mingi shrugged and smiled playfully. ‘Let’s go!’ Using the Cromer, ATEEZ dispersed to their respective positions. Wooyoung, who only arrived at the quad just then, called out ‘Are you going to do this without me?’ in a playfully upset way. A Guardian reached out for him, but with a flash Wooyoung had disappeared to his position
- Loudspeakers started playing groovy music and a large, black tent covered the building. Colourful neon paintings appeared around the building and tent. Breakers fell from the ceiling like shooting stars and as if bewitched, students and faculty reached out to grab them. Those who brought the breakers up to the chip in their ears were filled with a world of emotions. It was nauseating at first, but they were soon amazed by the beautiful world around them
- The Guardians were chasing ATEEZ and the Black Pirates with no success due to the power of the Cromer. The paintings disappeared, and a ball filled with light fell from the ceiling to the centre of the quad. Everyone’s eyes were on it, and as soon as it touched the ground it exploded like a light bomb, shooting out beams of light
- The light reflected on the walls of the building, and the shining walls showed people their reflections. They touched their faces and their reflections, as if they were unfamiliar with their own selves. Even people who hadn’t used the breakers began to follow suit. The Guardians were unsure of what to do as so many people were awakening at the same time. Just then, the tent disappeared and ATEEZ reappeared among the students
- The music changed and the members sang and danced joyfully. Students surrounded them and joined in; the scene looked like a concert, and was something experienced in World Z many centuries ago. The boy and his brother stood near ATEEZ and smiled brightly at them. ATEEZ leaflets scattered in all directions, which people picked up and read
- Trying to get a hold of the situation, the Guardians rushed towards ATEEZ. Over their radio, their leader sent a message: ‘Catch anyone who’s awakened. We need hostages.’
- The Guardians caught random people and issued a warning: ‘The awakened caught now will be immediately disposed of without replacing their chip. If you want to save them, put down the Cromer and come here slowly.’
- ATEEZ stopped dancing and looked at each other. No matter how important their goal was, they couldn’t let innocent people die. They slowly approached the Guardians with their hands up, holding the Cromer. Suddenly there was a boom, and multi-coloured bombs all colours of the rainbow exploded throughout the campus, the smoke obstructing people’s view
- This was the escape route the Black Pirates had planned in advance, and ATEEZ used it to usher people outside to safety. The members smiled and gave each other high-fives. However, a scream came from behind them. Seonghwa turned back to see the younger boy caught by a Guardian. Seonghwa quickly asked the others where the boy’s brother was, and they replied by saying he was with them outside, but Seonghwa didn’t answer
- Worried, San and Yeosang returned to the quad, and saw Seonghwa walking back into the smoke. He was headed for the younger boy. San and Yeosang went to help, but were held back by people still escaping
- Seonghwa stopped abruptly, and San and Yeosang watched bewildered as they watched Seonghwa stare at the female Thunder leader, who had grabbed his arm. She pulled him along further into the smoke, Seonghwa following her willingly, as San and Yeosang struggled. Eventually, they managed to get people out of the campus, and went to find Seonghwa, the girl and the younger boy, but all of them were gone
- The secretary stepped out of Z’s office and opened the door. The principal of the Prestige Academy, and leader of the Android Guardians walked inside to find Z sat back in a throne-like chair
- Z spoke: ‘There’s not much to say. The principal should take responsibility for this situation.’ The principal had no excuse; he was ready to be demoted and waited for his sentence without a word. Z spoke again: ‘Has a replacement been found?’
- The secretary answered: ‘Yes. A replacement was found and is on standby to start working right away.’ Z nodded at the secretary’s words
- Z: ‘Originally, I was going to send you off to a sanitarium, but as an individual in an important position such as ‘principal’, I’ve decided to dispose of you quietly so as not to create another excuse for the Sense Offenders.’
- ‘Thank you.’ The principal replied to Z without really knowing what it meant to be grateful
- Z: ‘Take care of it.’ The Z-Only Guardians deployed to protect Z immediately took out their guns and shot the principal’s head and heart. The principal died instantly on the spot

while rewatching bouncy i realised that at the end when mingi is looking at z’s symbol on the wanted posters, there’s 10 posters instead of 8.
in the diary (i haven’t finished the summaries yet but they’ll be done soon) it says that the young boy was captured and seonghwa disappeared with the girl, so the rest of ateez and the boy’s brother made it out and in total are 8 people.
so who are the other two z wants so desperately?

Overall summary of storyline so far (6/7)
.
- Yeosang handed over the ID card he had prepared in advance. A male student confirmed that his name was on the student list, and the girl turned to Seonghwa. Seonghwa had been staring at her with disbelief, and this meant his face was very clearly full of emotion. Yeosang noticed this, panicked, and moved to block Seonghwa from the girl’s view
- ‘I think the door needs repairing. I never intentionally locked it, but it wouldn’t open and it took me a while to grasp the situation.’ The girl ignored Yeosang’s words and pushed him aside to look at Seonghwa again. Seonghwa was still staring at her, and the boy’s brother had his head down, his hands shaking. These were also clear displays of emotion
- The girl slowly approached the boy’s brother, and he tried to hide his trembling hands behind his back, but she grabbed them quickly. As she stared at his hands with a frigid gaze, the boy’s brother was losing his ability to hide his emotions. His breath was shaky and he looked like he was on the verge of tears. At that moment, just when it seemed all was lost, Seonghwa snatched the girl’s wrist and said ‘Why are you here?’
- Seonghwa’s question had a hint of nostalgia. The girl’s expression didn’t change though; she wasn’t able to understand the intent of his question. Neither could Yeosang, but what he did understand was that they needed to get out of this situation as soon as possible, and he decided to make up an excuse using the logic of World Z
- ‘It’s inefficient of us to use our time without a good reason like this. Class will start soon, so would you please let us leave?’ At Yeosang’s words, the Thunder group turned to their leader, who signalled with her free hand that they were free to go
- Yeosang walked with the boy’s brother down the hallway. The girl pulled her arm out of Seonghwa’s grasp and asked ‘What exactly do you mean? Do you not know what kind of group Thunder is?’
- This snapped Seonghwa out of his confusion, and remembered to keep his emotions under control. He touched the bracelet around his wrist, which had the words ‘Be Free’ carved into the metal. He tried to keep his turbulent emotions masked, and asked her a question
- ‘Is there a problem with us using the restroom? I don’t think the other students and I did anything wrong, so why did Thunder come all the way to this remote location?’
- As the girl watched Seonghwa’s steady expression, her own faltered slightly. Avoiding Seonghwa’s eyes, she said ‘It’s Thunder’s duty to patrol the school. We need to keep an eye on anyone who might be ‘emotional’. This is just one of the places in school we’re required to check.’
- Seonghwa just watched her face, trying to find confirmation of the slip-up earlier, but she was back to her cold self. She spoke again: ‘Class starts soon, return to the classroom for now. I’ll let you off with a warning this time but if you get caught again, I’ll have to refer you to the disciplinary committee for an emotion test.’ With that, the Thunder group turned and left
- Seonghwa watched the girl walk away. She was the one he had been looking for all this time, but she was so different in World Z compared to World A. He had first seen her dancing outside a store, and he watched her from a distance every time he saw her. When he finally worked up the courage to talk to her, though, she was gone, and she never came back while Seonghwa was in World A
- The only thing left was her bracelet, engraved with the words ‘Be Free’, the same bracelet Seonghwa wore all the time. He hadn’t expected to meet her in this twisted world, and he didn’t know whether to be happy or sad that she was so loyal to the system of control there. However, he was determined to save her just as she had changed his life and set him free all those days ago
- That afternoon, ATEEZ installed various devices throughout the academy while it was empty and classes were in session. They also hid smoke bombs in scouted areas in case of an emergency. The class bell rang and ATEEZ were waiting in preparation for upcoming performances at each of their locations when an urgent signal came through: ‘The boy’s brother has disappeared!’
- It was from Yeosang. When the class bell had rung the boy’s brother ran out of the classroom before Yeosang could talk to him. By the time Yeosang made it out of the classroom, the boy’s brother had disappeared into a crowd of students. Seonghwa, who was with the younger brother, was flustered and stopped. The boy asked ‘Who disappeared? My brother?!’
- At that moment, another student heading to the quad shouted ‘What are you doing up there?’. ATEEZ received another signal at the same time. It was from Wooyoung: ‘It looks like he’s going up to the top floor!’. A thought crossed Hongjoong’s mind, and he looked at Mingi and San worriedly. The boy shook off Seonghwa’s hand and ran to the quad, as if he knew what his older brother was thinking
- Wooyoung climbed up to the top floor, and found a broken window in the middle of the hallway. Blood was smeared to the broken pieces of glass. He looked up and saw the boy’s brother standing on a narrow railing attached to the window. The boy’s brother looked down at his feet while students below on the quad stared up at him with dull expressions
- The boy’s brother: ‘I only had one day before graduation. Just one day and my 40 years of schooling would be complete. But you Sense Offenders have stirred up people and influenced my brother, and now you’ve made a mess of me, too. My life is ruined!’
- Wooyoung: ‘No life is ever ruined! This won’t solve anything!’
- The boy’s brother: ‘If I don’t pass the test, I’ll be dragged away to the Disposal Site. If that’s not a ruined life, what is?!’ He glared at Wooyoung, and his foot slipped for a second before he found the railing again. His breathing was unsteady
- The boy’s brother: ‘At the very least I was confirmed for Class 2. I could’ve been a Guardian! But now... but now... now everything’s all wrong.’
- Wooyoung: ‘Until now you’ve lived within the guidelines set by the government, believing that’s your limit. Listen to me, you’re just confused. Because this is your first time feeling emotion. That confusion is something that everyone goes through as a part of their lives. By going through it, you’re choosing your own path for yourself. You’ve been a puppet so far, but from now on you can live your own life. I guarantee it, and we’ll be there to help you.’
- The boy’s brother: ‘Yeah, maybe you guys are right. But even if you are, I don’t want to live a life that’s different from everyone else.’ Tears streamed down his face. He didn’t know what the water on his face was, and believed that his body was broken now along with his mind
- ‘Brother!!’ A familiar voice came from below; he looked down to see his younger brother, the only face full of emotion in the sea of blankness. Even though they were far away from each other, it felt like his younger brother’s feelings were being projected onto him. He closed his eyes

Overall summary of storyline (5/7)
Excited to post the next parts of this series! There might be many posts related to the lore from The World EP.2: Outlaw because I’m trying to make sure each part isn’t too long!
.
- The Prestige Academy was like a fortress, built like a spaceship in order to keep outsiders from entering. There was a very strict entry process which made it hard for outsiders to get inside anyway
- At the main gate, one’s entry ID was checked and numerous inspections followed; it was a system similar to immigration offices used to move between countries in World A (the ‘real world’). The security was so strict because only the most talented persons of World Z were allowed to study at the academy
- In World Z, children underwent state-certified tests within six months of being born. After six months, a child’s natural temperaments and talents became more clear, and it was up to the parents to raise the child in such a way that the child’s talents and innate growth potential were nurtured. The children who were identified as ‘talented’ were allowed to enter the Prestige Academy, and were placed in one of five classes based on their entrance exam results
- Class 1 was raised to work in the government, and would be responsible for researching and implementing new systems to improve the control and efficiency of society in the future
- Class 2 (which included future Guardians), were trained to control and punish those who defied control according to the government’s guidelines
- Class 3 was taught to classify new humans while following the system, and educate them accordingly
- Class 4 learned to handle various tasks necessary for human survival (e.g. changing control chips, overseeing new energy exchanges, the supply and manufacturing of essential energy)
- Class 5 were taught about city management, sanitisation and organisation
- The children enrolled at the Prestige Academy were educated and trained thoroughly before being deployed into society after graduation
- By targeting the Prestige Academy, ATEEZ would not only be able to help the young boy’s brother, but they could also damage World Z’s ruling class by awakening the children being indoctrinated there and shake the system by its very roots
- Mingi and Wooyoung dressed in security uniforms and led a group of freshmen who had just entered the school. Mixed among the students were ATEEZ in matching school uniforms
- Thanks to Left Eye and the Black Pirates hacking the ID checkers, ATEEZ were able to pass through, and at the inspection points, Mingi and Wooyoung ‘checked’ them before letting them through
- The boy’s brother arrived at the inspection point and appeared in front of Mingi, who they recognised from a photo the boy had shown them. Mingi let him pass, and sent a signal to the rest of ATEEZ through a transmitter on his waist: ‘He just entered the school’
- Wooyoung watched after the boy’s brother after receiving the signal, and it was clear he was feeling uneasy since his emotions were back. Wooyoung sent his own signal through the transmitter at his belt: ‘He’s passing through the hallway on the right’
- They boy’s brother went up the stairs towards the classroom for the eldest students in Grade 2. Wooyoung sent another signal to ATEEZ: ‘He’s going up to the classroom. Confirm contact timing’
- After arriving at the classroom, the boy’s brother sat down and tried to maintain a blank face, acting as stiff as possible. He placed his glass tablet in the centre of his desk and his pen exactly 7.5cm away in a parallel position as usual. He gazed at a blank monitor, and was relieved to note that so far, no one had noticed that he had his emotions back. Unbeknownst to him, Yeosang sat at a desk near him, watching
- ‘Meet me in the restroom on the left side of the first floor’. A low voice filled the ears of the boy’s brother. He turned in surprise, wondering if there was always someone like this in his class. Thinking back, he realised that in the 40 years he had attended the school, he had never once looked closely at his classmates. Without the need to exchange emotions, there was no need to talk to others face-to-face
- For the first time, the boy’s brother made eye contact with someone other than his family or school faculty: he looked at Yeosang. Yeosang’s eyes seemed to say ‘it’s ok’, and the boy’s brother wondered if he had been caught. Noticing the confusion, Yeosang opened a hand to reveal a breaker, and gave him a small smile. That action said it all; Yeosang knew that he could feel emotions
- Yeosang stood up and walked out of the classroom. The boy’s brother, who didn’t know if was friend or foe, watched him with a confused face. He quickly turned around back to his desk and checked to see if anyone had noticed. No one had; the other students were sat at their desks either adjusting their belongings or focused on their own work
- ‘That’s right, no one’s interested in me’, he thought. He stood up and exited the classroom
- In the corner at the end of the first-floor hallway, he could see a restroom with lights turned off. He worried that wandering in the hallway would be seen as suspicious, when a long shadow appeared behind him
- ‘Don’t worry. We’re here to help you’. It was Seonghwa. The boy’s brother seemed slightly relieved by Seonghwa’s smile, and stepped towards the restroom carefully, Seonghwa following him closely to protect him. Seonghwa sent a signal to the other members: ‘I’ve made contact with the boy’s brother’
- When they entered the restroom, Yeosang greeted them and Seonghwa locked the door. The room was quiet, and the boy’s brother felt his heart beating very fast. He didn’t know what to call that feeling since he hadn’t been taught emotions, but thought it could be nervousness
- ‘Your younger brother came to the Black Pirates’ bunker last night. He was worried that you might get sent to the Disposal Site and asked us to come save you. You know the Black Pirates, right?’
- The boy’s brother nodded as if to say he understood the situation, but inside his mind was racing. His only way out of the situation was to follow them, but would that make the last 40 years of his life? What had he been living the whole time? And what if he survived after following the Black Pirates? What would come next? What if following them led to something worse?
- Yeosang and Seonghwa knew that the boy’s brother was feeling conflicted, but because there was no time to waste, they explained their plan to him. The Black Pirates planned to rescue him, and ATEEZ and the Black Pirates’ goal was to awaken as many people at the academy as possible. This would create the opportunity for them to choose their own paths, but it was inevitable that the sudden rush of emotions would cause chaos and confusion
- The boy’s brother was not fully convinced. In his eyes, emotions and confusion were unnecessary, and all it would mean is that a lot of people would have to go through the same thing he was experiencing
- But Yeosang and Seonghwa had a different approach: ‘Chaos. Pain. They’re not necessarily bad things. You need to feel them to move forward, it’s something all people go through. That’s what growth is. What’s clear is that this feeling of growing through pain is a new, precious experience of yours. It was the same for all of us.’ Yeosang stretched his hand towards the boy’s brother, who stared at it
- His heart began to calm down, and he wondered what this new emotion he was feeling was called. He didn’t know, but he could feel warmth flowing through his blood. The boy’s brother cautiously reached out and grabbed Yeosang’s hand
- ‘Class will start soon, let’s just go back for now-’ Sudden bangs shook the bathroom door. The three anxiously looked as someone outside beat the door hard
- ‘Open the door right now. Otherwise, I will refer you to the disciplinary committee immediately.’ The boy’s brother quickly let go of Yeosang’s hand, and with a painful sigh began to recite ‘Thunder...’
- ‘Thunder?’ The boy’s brother’s eyes shook as Seonghwa repeated the name. As the door shook, the boy’s brother sprang up as if by reflex and unlocked the door. Outside was a group of students in neat uniforms, and on each of their chests was a symbol inscribed with the word ‘Thunder’
- A girl’s clear voice came from the group: ‘Why are the three of you all gathered here? With the door locked at that.’ The group parted as a female student walked to the front. Yeosang understood that this was the student group they had been warned about the previous night, and this girl was their leader
- The girl looked like the personification of the word ‘cold’, and stared at Yeosang: ‘You don’t look familiar.’

Perhaps it has to do with the type of art?
The art in the academy, although beautiful, has a very specific aesthetic to it. Like it's from a specific old era. Also quite colourless (gave me flashbacks to SKZ's District 9, but if the aesthetics were fancier and less tech-heavy).
Sort of reminds me of how some people will scoff at other forms of art (such as abstract art) and say they're not real art. Or that newer genres of music are inherently worse than classical music. That sort of stuff.
Maybe that's the thing? Perhaps the ones controlling this world have a very strict sense of what is considered "art", and want to spread only their idea of it, while getting rid of the potential diversity of various other art forms.
that's interesting, i didn't think of that!
i also thought that maybe the place in the teaser isn't what the academy actually looks like but is a representation of ateez bringing art into the students' lives and helping them break free 🤔

just watched the first teaser for bouncy and i’m so exciteddd!!
one thing i thought was interesting though is that the prestige academy (which ateez are infiltrating) has a lot of beautiful architecture and statues inside
but the central government banned art and moved everything either to the android guardian’s island or the dump
so why would the prestige academy, which is the most prestigious school (obviously lol) that produces the ‘best of society’, surround its students and faculty with prohibited things like this??? especially since art is supposed to wake people up from the control of the government??
maybe i’m just reading into this too much idk but i just found that weird

Is there a chance Yunho might've been the one that kidnapped Wooyoung? Ever since Wonderland Yunho was seen sitting infront of cctvs, as if monitoring woo. In answer japanese vers, yunho sits at the top of the table, normally head of the house does. Even hj didnt so is yunho trying to take the leader role? He also smirks at mingi in answer whilst everyone looks forward. Mingi raps on the place woo was chained up on in wonderland. Is it possible yunho chained him or hj, yeo or android guardian?
with the 'leader' role, i think hongjoong is still the captain, but san is being pushed forward as a 'fake' captain, like a distraction so that the real captain is protected. but you could be onto something, i honestly didn't notice yunho at the top of the table. idk about mingi in the place woo was, it could just be a reference to ateez saving woo when he was being taken. i'd love to hear more of your thoughts tho!!

I'm a new atiny and have been so invested into the ateez lore. I am curious because you said that hongjoong might've locked wooyoung up. I agree on that but i also am curious because in the mv, mingi is dancing and rapping in the place woo was locked up and ever since wonderland we always see yunho sitting behind cctvs almost as if hes spying. Fever comes before treasure so from wonderland onwards🤔
hi!!! i've also been thinking about this; i think yunho being behind cctvs has two possibilities: one being that yunho is working for the central government and is the one that chained woo, or two being that he's undercover as a police officer (which is part of his outlaw concept) so is able to monitor the steps of the government and report back to the rest of ateez

new concept photos just released and i realised that the order has changed... usually hongjoong and seonghwa’s photos are first but this time it’s seonghwa and yunho??? idk if it’s just a human error and they were posted in the wrong order but if not then that could pertain to the next bit of the lore...

it’s been so long since i’ve been active but ateez comeback!!!!
so far only thing of note i have to say is yunho is in what looks like a police car; a lot of his ‘concept’ in the lore involves driving (fireworks, don’t stop, deja vu) which could be interesting...
