Just as domestic abuse victims are abused because their abusers are abusers (and not bc of the victims’ behavior), kids are bullied bc bullies are bullies.

There is not some divided responsibility between victim and bully, and if we teach kids that there is, we teach them to accept or perpetrate abuse throughout their lives.

what have I stumbled across and why am I not mad at it

Spencer's day was going pretty good Aaron was being really cutesy and sweet towards him. He wondered if Aaron liked him in a romantic way or just like teasing him. Spencer liked him in a romantic way but that was besides the point he could never tell Aaron that.

Spencer was really excited he volunteered to buy everyone's lunch. He was especially excited because he chose taco Bell to get all their lunches at. He decided to take the SUV that everyone uses. Everyone uses it but Aaron had been using it most lately.

He got his thermos of coffee his keys and his satchel. When he got out to the he SUV something was feeling off a dozen or so red flags was popping up in his head for some reason.

He decided to set his thermos down and start the SUV by standing on the outside of it. He's stood a few steps back reaching in making sure his face wasn't inside the SUV and started it up.

The SUV exploded causing Spencer to fly backwards through the air. he landed in a setting position hitting the back of his head hard against the glass of the door.

The ringing in his ears was intense not to mention the pounding headache and everything seemed to be in a tunnel. Spencer didn't know what was going on but he didn't like it.

It was like he was in a total daze he couldn't get his mind to work and he hated it. He honestly didn't know if he could get up or not he was just staring forward. His satchel still on his shoulder.

Aaron was sat at his desk, continuing with the paperwork but his mind was somewhere else. All he could think about was Spencer, he wanted to have something more with him but he didn’t know if he felt the same. He hadn’t felt like this for a long time and it scared him a little.

When he hears the explosion he instantly sprinted out of his office, looking around to see no spencer, that’s when he remembered that spencer was going to taco bell. He ran his phone many times, to his disliking and worry he got no reply. When the agent told him one of the suvs blew up Aaron didn’t realise he was running down towards it until he was at the entrance scanning around trying to find spencer. When he eventually found him he was instantly next to him, holding pressure on his head as it was bleeding quite bad. Aaron instantly ordered people to get a medic, his mind and heart racing as he looked to a barely conscious spencer laying in his arms.

I never really saw him as a bad person and he really shows who he is as a person on his shows that involves children. yes he does have a "bad rep" because of his TV shows ,such as 'hells kitchen', but he's like that towards ADULTS ,who not only cook for their families but for other people and themselves, that don't follow basic rules food safety that are public on the FDA's websites. recently he's been getting a lot of attention on tiktok because of his duets with people who purposely cook in unsanitary, unsafe, and ubserd ways just to get his attention. he'll tell them what thier doing wrong just like he does on his shows and everyone either laughs it off or gits upset at him. I honestly don't see what he's doing as wrong because of all the good his method has done for chefs, thier families, and ,for some, the places they work. everyone focuses on the bad but he's does more good.

just my thoughts on the matter if you disagree feel free to express why in the comments below but my opinion on him will forever be unmoved. have a nice day/afternoon/night.

He comes from a very poor family. His father was an alcoholic who beat him and his mother (he once poured hot tea over her and put her in hospital several times), his brother is a drug addict, he literally built an empire out of nothing.

He credits his mother as his biggest inspiration and often has her cooking in his shows.

When he left his first restaurant he pulled a successful Jerry Maguire - the entire kitchen staff went with him. That tells you what he’s like to work with.

He was one of the first to give a restaurant to a female chef.

He went to prison (Gordon Behind Bars) and taught inmates to bake and they opened a bakery (Bad Boys Bakery) that is still running. He hired one of them when he got out.

He did documentaries about the cruelty of shark hunting and cocaine. (when he discovered cocaine was used by his staff he didn’t fire anyone but made sure they are offered treatment)

His kids are a treasure.

He is always ALWAYS kind to servers.

When one of his partners (Marcus Wareing) wanted to leave they got into a fight and settled it in court, they no longer speak to each other but this is what Marcus said about him after the fight: 

I feel bad that the first association to him for a lot of people is this shouty TV chef when he’s truly a wonderful person.
