I! Got distracted for a hot second!! And forgot to upload this!! But it's here!!

So I've posted a lot of writing to DeviantArt over the years, and that... feels like an increasingly bad decision. In an effort to get my stuff away from a floundering website full of AI art, AI scrapers, scam bots, and bad UI, I am electing to move it all over to AO3! The thing is, I do mean all of it. Can't just leave some behind, because I don't know where I'd draw that line, and it also feels Autistically Incorrect to not do this 100%. And that is... over a decade's worth of writing. Plus adding proper tags and notes to keep everything organized. So this is gonna take a while! And a good amount of energy! I'm still going to draw and write other things, of course, but if that falls by the wayside (more than it already tends to on my end, whoops), this will probably be part of the reason why. But! In the interest of keeping things vaguely active, if I find any gems during this process, I just might link them here! Might take a sec to get to that point, but that's the plan!

And one last digital thing! My plans for the near future involve mostly not visual art things, both because I keep putting the things off and because I should give my hands a break. Although I do still want to upload my other art from the past few days here at some point.... and the reason for all that art might also encourage me to make more art... We'll see how it goes!

I kind of wanted to make this digital, but I'm trying to speedrun some other art stuff, so if that ever happens, it's gonna have to be later. But the dragons have been drawn all the same!!

Aaaand back to something simpler. I actually did draw up something like this when I was plotting out the story for this challenge! But then I threw it away, I think. Or I lost it. Or something. But that version was all text, anyway; this is more fun!

My guyyyyys!!! My little kitties!!! I used a vaguely pixelated brush for this, since the site uses pixel art, and it was really, really fun to use for some reason?? Gotta do that again. And grabbing the colors for this took some thinking, with the way the Not-Cat icons work, but I managed it! These guys are in the order their turns go in combat, so from left to right, we've got Adeen (Medic), Schilly (Fighter), Crystal (Bard), and Liphanes (Guardian). They are such little creatures!!! I need to draw them more!!!

I'm back again! And I didn't actually fall behind on drawing this time; just posting! Though I technically didn't fully complete this one until today, but "completing" in this instance just means "putting the little paper person on a contrasting paper background", because this story is blatantly and intentionally lacking in any imagery at all. The others will be up in a moment!

Had a frustrating time with this one. I originally planned to draw essentially this (and use my art energy for other things I want to do), but then I figured it had more to do with the description than the actual thing I wrote, so I tried to brainstorm something more relevant, but then the whims of fate decided it'd be funny to put me through Various Sensory Debacles today instead, and when I finally got around to focusing on drawing something, it wouldn't come out right, so now.... this. And no other art stuff got worked on. And I am still tired.

...But I do still have a weighted blanket and noise-cancelling headphones. And an accurate understanding of what's going on in my brain. So compared to this story's protagonist, I am still winning.

I... think the perspective might be a smidge wonky on this. But it still mostly works! Also, I gave the snake plush teeth because I remembered that I had an old snake plush somewhere, pulled it out for reference, and it has??? Teeth??? Very blunt and also scientifically inaccurate, but they are there. I got it out again to reference the stitching pattern. Fun times!

Went weird for Stella's other main story this month, too! My more prominent idea was much sillier (and also below the cut), and I wanted to do something that better matched the tone. The phoenix shall rise again, indeed...

Spooky Eldritch Rabbit time!! The idea in my head was pretty simple, so I challenged myself with one layer and no undo button, and also lots of poking around with brushes I have and don't use. Made it nice and crunchy!
