Since the Obama administration, the Democratic Leaders have a revolving door of the same type of consultants with the exact type of philosophy of focusing on this mythical demographic, the moderate Republican who is disillusioned with their party. This is entwined with Obama’s idea of bipartisanship and with Clinton’s conservative democratic philosophy. This is the demographic they are chasing.

Yeah.

There is no middle anymore. And Independents span all sorts of spectrums that neither party’s spectrum cannot account for. The Democrats tend to view Independents as the middle and they are sorely mistaken in he they appeal to them. I’m a registered independent and obviously you’d know I’m an anarchist. Being less progressive isn’t going to appeal to me.

Also disillusioned Republicans become Libertarians(Ancaps).

This is the Democratic leadership and the consultant laden cycle that has infested the party as they appealed to the elites of the country as become and has dictated party positions. This is why they have had an adversarial relationship with activist democrats like Rashida Tlalib, Ilhan Omar, and Cori Bush.

Ask any campaign organizer, field or social, about the DCCC and no one has flattering things to say about their tactics or brand, and offshoots of these people bring those bullshit tactics to other organizations focused on elections.
