Yet being asked to treat vulnerable groups of men, women and children with some small amount of basic human decency made these MAGA Republicans visibly uncomfortable. To be clear, he wasn't asked to support these groups, or even show them a little kindness. He was simply asked to please treat them like human beings — to not single them out and treat them like subhuman "animals," as Trump has called them.
