“Are ya sure you’re alright love?” Alex muttered to me quietly as he wrapped his arm around my waist, his warm hand resting on my stomach.

“I’m sure baby.” I assured him, smiling. It was a quiet Sunday, a cool breeze coming through the thin clouds, hiding a beautiful blue sky. It was still fairly early and so we were undisturbed, luckily.

“Y/n you can’t just go out like that! It was so busy in town, you could’ve gotten hurt! We talked about this love, with our tour over, the press want gossip. They’ll want to catch you in public eye, so for gods sake, stay here until I can come with you!” your boyfriend said with a pinch of his nose bridge. I hated to admit, but I kind of agreed. Today was just so stressful. I just wanted to get a new pyjama set, but I got caught by nosey paparazzi, blocking my car into the car park. Then, I left my keys at home, so Al had to come home early to let me in. “I’m sorry Al..” I tried to say, but my emotions got the best of me, and I broke down crying in his arms. I felt his warm hand rubbing my back, soft whispers of

“Shh, it’s okay love” and

“I didn’t mean to raise my voice, I’m so sorry baby”

filled my ears. At least I had Alex to confide with.

He looked so perfect. Soft brown hair, gentle eyes, handsome jawline, picture perfect nose, comforting arms. Just so perfect. I was so lucky to have him. I must have been staring for a second too long, as he glanced over and chuckled to himself.

“Like what you see?”

“Of course I do you muppet I wouldn’t be carrying your baby otherwise.” I commented back, smirking wittily.

”After you, love.” He said softly, opening the pale pink door of the cafe. The interior was something about of a romcom. Beautifully decorated walls, fairy lights littering the ceiling, and a sparkling clean countertop, filled with brownies, cakes, cookies and more. Just the sight gave me diabetes. But if baby craves cake, then we’ll get cake. We sat in the corner, on a small table, and we each picked out a small treat each. The radio buzzed quietly in the background, but me and Al weren’t listening, too busy chatting to pay attention to anything else. Gentle taps from our baby would arise every so often, clearly hinting that the food was wanted. During the pregnancy, I’d developed an insanely sweet tooth. I’m surprised Alex can even eat cookies anymore with the amount I’ve ordered. Nonetheless, as long as I was happy, he was happy.

The food arrived not long after, and I could not wait to eat it. Al thought it was hilarious that I ate too fast and got hiccups, but it wasn’t my fault the baby wanted it.

“Excuses, excuses.” he laughed, placing his hand on my thigh. To which I responded with my middle finger.

The peacefulness of the cafe combined with the love me and Al had for each other, and our growing baby, kept me happy for the day, and brought a tear to my eye. Bloody hormones. Al was quick to comfort me, though. And with him in my life, that was all that mattered.

Loud music echoed through the Capulet mansion, courtesy of Lord Capulet’s annual party, to which you, Mercutio and your brother Romeo had successfully infiltrated snuck into. Mercutio may have had a few too many and had fucked off god knows where, so that just left you and Romeo. Romeo and Mercutio were the only two people who knew about your secret.

“You.. what?” Shit, you thought. You kept silent, nervously shuffling around in front of your brother and best friend. 

“Thy liketh those of amorous rite?” Mercutio asked, unsure of what you truly meant.You nodded briefly, awaiting a scorn or disdained lecture. However, you were met with laughter. 

“Thee were afraid to bid us this?!” Romeo wheezed. You blushed, slightly embarrassed of the fiasco. You hushed him from speaking too loudly and revealing your secret to the world, or worse, to your father. Heaven forbid he discovers this.

“Behold, sister, all the fine flowers in this room t’night. I bid you farewell.” Romeo says in your ear before scuttling away. He may know of your preference for women, but he knew not of your love for Juliet Capulet. Fair Juliet Capulet. But she’d never love you back, not in your situation. ‘

If only it were another life,’ you thought.You sat in the corner of the room, eyes darting around looking for anything to take your interest. You looked to the door to the gardens and saw Romeo waving for you. Confused, you run over.

“Dear sister, this is the fair maiden, Juliet. Juliet, mine ow’n sister, Y/n. Thee duo, enjoyeth thine companys.” Romeo steps aside to reveal Juliet. You turn to Romeo, shell-shocked. He winks and walks away. ‘

How did he find out? Nosy fucker.’ you wondered. 

“Let us go to some place with lesser noise and disruption, follow me.” she beems at you, grabbing a hold of your wrist and running through the mass of people. The music is more muffled as you head up the grand staircase and into her bedroom. She leads you in the doorway and gently closes the door, getting very close to you. Your lips were almost touching, you glanced at hers and back up to your eyes. You were met with a grin before she scrambled to close her curtian and windows.

You went and sat in her bed next to her, “What’s going on?” you asked, visibly confused. A faint calling of her name was heard outside followed by three knocks. “Under the sleep chamber, make haste!” she whisper shouted, kissing your check before pushing you to the floor and diving back into her bed like she was before. You darted underneath, watching the door whilst being careful to not be seen at the same time. “Ay Juliet, thee shouldst beest careful. Thee was near to be hast caught!” her nurse hissed as she closed the door behind her with a creak, “receiveth thy ‘friend’ from beneathst thy.” Juliet blushed as you crawled out and stood awkwardly. Her nurse put her face in her palm and visibly cringed. “Ay Juliet.” she said before putting both hands in the air in surrender and leaving. Once the door had creaked to a close, you and Juliet locked eyes and laughed as you sat next to her once more. “What wast yond about?” you asked her, gazing into the beautiful infities that were her eyes. “She knows.” “Knows what?” you reply. “Knows that I liketh thee.” “You… liketh thee?” you managed to stutter. “It’s true.” Juliet giggled and pulled you towards her. “I, Juliet Capulet, liketh thee, Y/n Montague.” You laughed, head on her chest, looking up at her with awe. “And I, Y/n Montague, liketh thee, Juliet Capulet.”
