Atlanta Film Co.‘s Euphoric 100 is a cinematic color reversal film and it is beautiful.
Shot with my Nikon N8008S and Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D.
Developed and scanned by Darkslide Film Lab.
(The focus on the third pic is a little soft. I accidentally flipped the focus mode to “continuous” and it was looking for something to track. 🤷‍♂ Guess I’ll have to load another roll of Euphoric and go take the picture again to get it right.)

Some recent-ish film shots.
1) Euphoric 100 from Atlanta Film Co. with my Nikon N8008S and Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D. This film is amazing. Go buy some. You’ll thank me.
2) KikiPan320 from Camera Film Photo with my Minolta XG-M and Rokkor 58mm f/1.4. I really like this film. It’s gritty and beautiful.
3) Acros II by Fuji Film with the same Nikon set up as above. You can’t really go wrong with this film.
More from these rolls soon. All developed and scanned by Darkslide Film Lab, who do outstanding work.

Some pictures taken this morning around St. Petersburg, FL. I hit the town with a friend in search of weird or interesting buildings/businesses.
1) I have no idea what is going on in the abandoned pink storefront.
2) Look closely.
3) Anything teal is going to get my attention. The light/shadow/color interplay here is perfect.
4) We just really liked the crab shack. Don’t know why, just felt compelled to photograph it.

On Monday night at 11:50pm, SpaceX launched the OneWeb 16 mission. I photographed it from 135.9 miles away in St. Petersburg, FL. The first stage of this Falcon9 landed back at Cape Canaveral. After stage separation, it did a boostback burn, which is just insane to watch in the sky. The clouds were a bit more than I hoped for, but I made it work. I set up two cameras to capture the shots. One at 50mm (first pic) and one at 18mm (second pic). The third pic is an edited crop of frames from the 50mm camera showing the detail of the boostback burn.
Also, Elon is still a total turd. Space, rockets, and the like are still important and cool, so I photograph them. The guy who runs this rocket company is an asshole.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
That depends, but as far as ice cream you can buy at the store, Ben and Jerry’s Non-Dairy Peanut Butter Half Baked would be it.

This morning’s SpaceX Starlink 5-1 launch, as viewed from St. Petersburg, FL. Along with the reentry burn, I also captured a bunch of satellites which I will identify tonight after work.
So… the elephant in the post… Elon Musk is a turd. And that is being generous. I sincerely hope he is forced out of SpaceX. Space exploration and getting things into orbit are important. And cool as shit! He’s doing SpaceX no favors with his bullshit.

It never hurts to revisit work you weren’t completely happy with. Took this mid-2021. Was never happy with my edit of the scan. So last night i started from scratch. First one is the new edit, second is the original. Shot on Kodak Portra 400 with a 1952 Exa Version 1.1 and E.Ludwig Meritar 50mm f/2.9 lens.
This is the Banyan Motel in St. Petersburg. Probably used to be a lovely place to stay. Not so much anymore. But the weathered sign is one of my favorite things in the area.

This week was the end of an era. What was originally the fifth Wilson’s Lounge of the chain of bars and package stores, the 4th Street location in St. Petersburg opened in 1972. It was, until it closed earlier this year, the last Wilson’s. This week, the building was torn down. While loved by many, I only went there once and it was awful. And I love a good dive bar. I guess it just wasn’t the dive bar for me. But the building was an amazing relic of our city’s past. I took these two photos on Adox Color Mission 200 film shortly after Wilson’s closed, knowing it wasn’t long for this world. While it wasn’t the place for me, I’ll miss driving by it everyday.

In December 2017, I set out to a secret location (now known to only a few people and the spot has been since compromised by light pollution) to capture the Geminids. It did not disappoint. This year’s, happening now, are mostly ruined by the moon. But, the 2023 Geminids should be amazing. No moon. Save the date(s), stay up all night, have yr mind blown.

One helluva photowalk! I lugged a tripod-mounted Mamiya RB67, loaded with Ilford HP5, around my favorite spot in St. Petersburg, the St. Pete Pier. The good folks at Darkslide Film Lab developed and scanned these. The St. Pete Pier is just packed with amazing things to photograph. It’s like a playground for me. It’s been a hot minute, so I think a trip down there is due to happen again ASAP.
