Jimmy Eat World - "A Praise Chorus" (2002)

Jimmy Eat World, or as their acronym infers, JEW, was a great band between the years of 2000 and 2006. Here is arguably one of the better singles they released and surely better than the overexposed "The Middle." Crimson and clover, over and over.

Dem Franchize Boys - "Talking Out The Side Of Ya Neck" (2008)

They really are a one-hit wonder, but Jermaine Dupri proteges Dem Franchize Boyz came back with this track, a brass-fused beat that tries to elevate the group's percieved hardness. Whatever, it's got some good one-liners.

Lil Kim ft. T-Pain, Charlie Wilson - "Download" (2009)

This "Computer Love" sampling attempt at a comeback by Lil Kim was a quiet little joint that hit the radio in Spring of '09. Kim's verses are nothing compared to Nicki Minaj's recent outings, but T-Pain's catchy, melodic hook saves it.

Sean Paul - "I'm Still In Love With You" (2006)

The second Sean Paul song featured is this, a dub-step love song that still gets love, although not as much as the Dutty rocker's previous club jams. A reggae answer to an R. Kelly song.

Gwen Stefani ft. Slim Thugg - "Luxurious" (2005)

Gwen Stefani was on top of the world in 2005 with "Rich Girls," "Cool" and "Hollaback Girl." Her fourth single from her debut solo LP samples The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Big Poppa" and features support from Southern rapper Slim Thugg. A funked-out beat with Gwen talking about Egyptian cotton, cashmere and hydroponic love.

Paramore - "Hallelujah" (2007)

"Riot!" is a great album, and I am not ashamed to admit this. Perhaps the strongest track is the one that didn't see as much radio play as "Misery Business" or "crush,crush,crush." Scorching riffs, powerful vocals and an actually positive message -- holy shit! Too bad it became the Hailee show and this band is no more.

Young Dro ft. Yung LA - "I Don't Know Y'all" (2009)

Young Dro and Yung LA are two of the most underrated emcees in the game. The T.I. cohorts put out a bunch of collective mixtapes, but can never seem to match the success of the King. The music video is dope, the verse by Yung LA is flawless and Dro's country mumbling goes off.

Gucci Mane ft. Pimp C, Rich Boy - "I Know Why" (2007)

Goddman, this song goes hard. Gucci is now known for being a wordsmith, and he does nothing to break the trend here, but this ghetto fab beat and appearances from the Underground King Pimp C (RIP) and Rich Boy make this one of Gucci's best, and most forgotten. GUCCI!

Ludacris ft. Disturbing The Peace - "Growing Pains" (2002)

A summer jam that never actually became a jam. From Luda's second Lp "Word of Mouf," this chilled-out nostalgic track features a strong hook and decent verses from known unknown members of Cris' Disturbing The Peace clan.

Jennifer Lopez ft. Big Pun, Fat Joe - "Feeling So Good (Remix)" (1999)

This 1999 track from J.Lo's debut album "On The 6" was one of the last singles released after a string of hits. By now, J.Lo was dating Puffy Daddy and exploding. Fat Joe and Big Pun (who would die soon after the song's release) add extra clout.

In (dis)honor of their Super Bowl performance, this is one Black Eyed Peas track that everyone seems to forget. Well, this and their body of work pre-Fergie.

One of the most slept on tracks, ever. "Luv" had a brief run on the radio, but it was mostly reserved for rush hour DJ mixes. The production is sick.

Wiz Khalifa - "Say Yeah" (2007)

While everyone is now riding his jock for "Black and Yellow," three years ago, Wiz Khalifa was still on his grizzy. He bit the instrumental, but still, this was a club banger that never was.

Ashlee Simpson - "Outta My Head" (2008)

So sue me. I really dug this, the last chance at stardom by Ashlee Simpson. The beat, which I believe is from Dr. Luke, sounds like a Gwen Stefani rip-off of a new wave song. It doesn't even sound like Ashlee Simpson, which I guess, is a good thing.

Favorite line: GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

The Game ft. Kanye West - "Wouldn't Get Far" (2006)

The first time I heard this when I bought "Doctors Advocate," I thought it was some of the dopest shit I ever heard, thanks to Kanye's incredible instrumental. The song saw moderate success, but why didn't this go to number 1? I miss when Kanye was popping up on guest appearances, now he's just looking at Basquiat paintings and shit.

Favorite line: Pop quiz, how many topless, black foxes do I have under my belt, like boxers?
