Chapter 9 is live! Happy 4th to my American friends! :D Here's Andy's token from Roll20 to have a closer look at her Scary Demon General face :P

“Dear One,” The Priest’s gaze was intent, all consuming, “She had touched you before, hadn’t she? Granted you her penance in the past?” He smiled, gleeful, “Oh, my Goddess is overjoyed to grant you her boon once more, Dear One… the battles that you shall face will be fierce…” His gaze had gone unfocused, almost as if he was looking through her, “She wishes to grant you her favor once more, as she did during the Blood War.”

Andromeda stiffened and she could tell that Karlach had frozen at her side. The nod she gave the priest was stuttered, her steps wooden as she moved forward, facing away from the priest as he readied his implements.

When the first strike landed, Andromeda cried out. Visions of the Blood War were carved into the back of her eyelids - the way she had grown stronger, faster the closer to death she grew. The more pain she felt, the more sure her strikes. She hadn’t known, couldn’t have known, that one of the Goddesses she begged for help had done something .

The second strike. Another cry. Andromeda knew her friends were muttering to themselves, she could hear Shadowheart commending the priest for his technique. She ignored them, focusing instead on the pain rippling through her back. 

The third strike. Another cry, broken and ragged. She heard Karlach choke, her foot stepping forward, and Andromeda held up a hand. The steps stalled. She braced herself against the wall, readying herself for the final strike. 

The fourth strike felt like there radiant energy burning down the length of her back. Andromeda arched into the wall, a choked sound that could have been a scream or a moan cracked across her tongue. She pressed her forehead to the cool stone in front of her, willing her cheeks to cool, before she turned towards the group again. Her eyes immediately locked on Karlach, who was watching her with wide, heated eyes. Andromeda wasn’t entirely sure that the barbarian was breathing as she suppressed the shiver that heated look sent down her spine. The priest was talking, but the rushing of blood in her ears was drowning him out. It wasn’t until she felt herself be wrapped in a hot embrace, pain and pleasure searing through her bones for a moment before the sensation faded entirely.

“It has been my honor, Dame Andromeda, to grant you this penance.”

A loose retelling of the plot of Baldur’s Gate 3 told from the perspective of my female Durge, Kalliope. Kalliope is a “Way of the Shadows” tiefling monk.

She doesn’t understand these bloodthirsty desires or thoughts, but sees their use in battle. Her monastic teachings are very contradictory to this seductive, dark muse in her mind that urges her to “KILL-MAIM-END!”

__________ “I do believe, my plant-happy friend, that we’ve just shared everything we know with you. Now, are you going to help us or not?” Astarion sounds as nervous and impatient as you feel.

Nettie’s lips thin into a tight grimace.

“…Kalliope…” tries Gale.

“No. I’m not taking poison from a woman I can’t trust. You’ve done nothing but deceive us since we crossed that threshold,” you flick your hand angrily, pointing to the door you passed through just moments before. “Despite us answering every question that you asked.”

The dark whisper snakes up the back of your skull, the killing calm begins warming and filling your body.

“It’s just for insurance,” tries Nettie once more, “take it only if you feel yourself changing.”

You sneer. And then, your vision goes red.

But he’s not really sure what makes him murmur, “I want to fuck you.”

He doesn’t have to. No one is forcing him, or will punish him for failing. He decides swiftly that it’s for strategic purposes only. Purely self-preservation. Having a Zhent with connections on his side, when and if he ever gets to face Cazador, will be incredibly valuable.

That’s as far as he gets in terms of thinking, because Trei’s hands are curling into the front of his shirt and the pressure of her kiss shoves him against a tree.”

I don't have a lot of fics yet, so I'll stick to a top four for now! My number one favorite I've written so far is Wanting! I'm deeply deeply obsessed with Sanji, so it was nice to write my first fic focusing just on him. I'm also pretty new to writing NSFW, and I was really proud with how it turned out both emotionally and like, physical descriptions wise.

My second favorite is Picture You, because it was the first public piece of writing I shared about One Piece, and the very lovely response people had on ao3 was what inspired me to start this blog in the first place! Picture You was originally written for an oc of mine, just for me to share with myself and my girlfriend, but I realized I hadn't actually written any physical descriptions or names and sort of went "hmm...I wonder if this would work as an x reader." And it did! It was also the first real NSFW I'd ever written, so it was a nice challenge out of my comfort zone.

My third favorite isn't posted on Tumblr, just on ao3, but it's first light (is this be how everything begins?). I had a lot of big feelings on Baldur's Gate's ending when I first played, and Astarion specifically, and it was really nice to imagine a beautiful happy ending that I didn't get at the time. It's also the first thing I really felt fully comfortable and proud of posting online, so it's a fond memory for me.

My fourth and final favorite is Follow Through, just because I absolutely adore Ace and it was a really good way for me to cope with my feelings on Marineford. I kept wanting to grab his face and scream you're worth more than this! you deserve to live! and I realized nothing was stopping me from writing it.

I hope some day in a year or two I can make a list like this again and get to reflect back even further on more work, but even with as little as I have it's nice to look through and share my favorites 😊

Stories may have happy endings, bad ones, bittersweet ones, or open-ended ones. Some have continuing overarching plots and some are one and done.
