“Oh man, how many birthdays did I miss?” Naki looked geuinely guilty. Even though he and Simon had not known each other for long. However, it did not take much for Naki to care about someone. He was simple minded like that.

“Well first thing’s first, we have to do something about that hair.” Naki immmediately without asking put a hand around Simon’s shoulders, and then pulled him close so he would be at his level. He put a fist to the top of the man’s head, and started to ruffle up his messy hair even further with it.

This is what you would call a noogie. “With hair that messy, the only option is to mess it up further huh?” Naki giggled. He was a little bit rough around the edges, but this was, his way of expressing his friendship. Simon should know about the language of far too rough bros, he grew up under Kamina’s stead after all. 

“About seven or so. Don’t worry too much about it, they weren’t all that great.” Simon grinned, and allowed Naki to pull him over to ruffle his hair. The treatment did bring back a lot of memories, and he couldn’t help but find himself laughing. 

“A lot of stuff happened since I was a kid... so much can happen in seven years and it just feels like time keeps going faster with each passing day. It’s kind of amazing isn’t it?” He rambled on a bit, thinking about the years he spent with his team building Kamina city. 

“I just sorta wish the rest of my team were here. It’s still so strange having Bro here with me... not that i’m complaining. Though, he can be kind of childish at times.” He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. That’s a real understatement if he had to be honest.

Simon nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a loud and familiar voice. He would have assumed it was Kamina if it weren’t for that abnormal speech pattern. He turned to see the familiar ghoul nearly get hit by a car and sighed in relief when he made it over safely.

While the hug was expected, he didn’t expect to be spun around and nearly broken in half but he knew Naki had good intentions. “H-Hey, Naki! It’s good to see you!” He wheezed a bit as he was put down.

The digger couldn’t help but smile at Naki’s obliviousness, it almost reminded him of Kamina. “Actually I got older! I’m not sure how, but it just happened I guess?” He rubbed the back of his head.

“I guess my hair did grow out a bit, huh.”

“Hey, guy! It’s Simon guy! It’s my bro, simon! It’s sibro!” Naki had spotted him from a block away, and jumped up and down with excitement.. He had not seen him in awhile. At least he thought anyway. He remembered dancing at the ball, the time they first met, meeting with Kamina. All precious memories! All of a precious boy to Naki.

Technically, a precious human boy but Naki had ignored that detail. It didn’t matter what you were born as, or what your blood was, any two people could be brothers if they wanted to. That was one belief the two of them had in common so really they should be able to get along. Naki had been almost a block away when he spotted him (thank you ghoul senses), but he was loud enough to be heard. 

Also he was short sighted enough to run straight into the middle of traffic to reah Simon’s side. A car swerved to avoid him. Naki happily through his arms around Simon, not even noticing, and took him into a spinning hug. When he finally put the man down, his eyes narrowed.

“Something looks different about you. Could it be-”

He paused leaning in.

“Did you get a haircut?”

It’s that time of the week where Scott throws his sanity into the trash and hosts a movie night. As always this event is IN CHARACTER but you don’t have to actually join the chat if you’d like to participate anyway!

here’s the deal I’ve been wanting to show both of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann films, but there’s a special thing I wanted to do for them and I don’t know if the person involved with it will be ready by then but we’ll see! So until then I’m going to show both Little Witch Academia OVA’s.

I’ve actually never seen these. Shocking, being as I love KLK and TTGL with all my heart and soul. So as far as warnings go I can’t say for sure. From what I have seen it seems to be a pleasant enough OVA.

Thankfully the weirdness has yet to get Simon, but unfortunately he can’t say the same for Boota. “.......”

“...Boota?” He asked, as if it were anyone else. He’d witnessed the change with his very own eyes, the little pig mole who’s been the same for over 7 years change into...

...a beastman.

“wHAAAAAT?!”

Simon paused right as he went to dial. He slumped his shoulders. “...Alright, then I’ll stay here with you till they come.”

He sits beside her. “Who did this to you? What did they look like? I know some people who can catch them and make them pay for what they’ve done.” He looked over her wounds...yikes. She looks worse than Kamina did back when he died, and she’s still alive...

“You’re strong to have made it this far, don’t give up. You can make it through this.”

Callie sucks in a breath through her teeth as he touches her, squeezing her eyes shut tighter. “Ow, ow, ow ow don’t touch me! I already… I sent for help, just…” Just leave me? Who knew when Isaac would be back… Lying in a cold pool of ink by herself was just about the saddest thing her hazy mind could conjure right now. At least, with him around she had some company.

“Don’t… don’t call anybody else. They can’t help…” Inkling biology differed drastically from a human’s, or any other vertebrate. She couldn’t trust anybody, even somebody with magical healing abilities, not to mess something up.

The digger nodded frantically, shouting when Kamina hurled another punch at one of the workers. “Bro! quit punching people!” He ran in after the fallen worker, helping them up. “Sorry about all  this, here don’t worry about it.” He pulled out his wallet. “How much? I’ll pay for all of it.” 

The worker went to go write the bill and the commander turned toward his brother. “Kamina you gotta understand people on the surface in large communities with LAWS don’t talk with their fists. You pay for things with money, because this is an economy. Listen, i’ll explain it later, just lemme...” 

He turned back to the worker, who flashed the bill in front of his face. “...t....two hundred....” Simon’s eye twitched. “There’s...gotta be a mistake here... I know my Bro eats a lot but...” 

Watching the worker double check and confirm the price, Simon slumped forward a bit. Honestly, he would pay it.... but he doesn’t even have that much money on him. Or at all, really. “Uh.....”

Suddenly shoving the worker over, Simon pushed Kamina further out the door to signal him to start running before he himself bolted away. “Run!”

Daylen’s going to kill him.

Certainly, people had tried to explain it in the past. People didn’t just eat animals they saw scurrying by, money was used to purchase goods and services, when there was a table laden with food it was considered illegal to simply take several platefuls and then leave without paying. And yet that was exactly what he had been attempting to do, what with no real understanding of why money was so important to be given away. And when ever people tried to stop him from simply leaving without paying, the paragon would always consider it a challenge.

Which was why he had just hurled a waiter out the clear glass window, and attempted to charge through the front door before he found his path blocked by an unknown. Fist clenched, teeth grit, the tenacious man slammed that fist straight into the strangers face, intent on sending him hurtling into the street for an even more entertaining fight.  But when the stranger didn’t go flying, and instead held his ground, Kamina opened his eyes wider for a moment.

“Simon?”

“That yo-”

Words had been cut off, as another of the restaurant staff had approached from behind, Kamina turning and swinging violently to send the poor worker hurtling back into the building.  “Oi oi oi! Everybody shut up for a second, I’m talking here!”

Simon dropped his glass the moment he saw her, rushing over to the smaller squid girl and knelt down. He gently shook her, “Hey, I’m here! Can you speak?” He looked around, who could have done this much damage? 

That was a stupid question, there’s so many people capable of more than just this... but the fact tat whoever did this kept the girl alive was cruel. Putting Her out of her misery so she could respawn to heal properly SOUNDED like the best option...but Simon couldn’t bring himself to do it. 

“Just hang on, okay? I’ll call for help!”

Just keep it together…

Hot pink ink trickles from the cuts covering her back and arms. The nice dress Marie helped her make is ruined, she didn’t even get to finish it.

That was so stupid.

the trickle turns to a gush, splattering the ground beneath her, her limbs trembling and sending her slipping into the mess of ink and shards of glass. Callie gurgles, coughing as it flows into her mouth. She was going to lose cohesion if she didn’t pull herself together, but at the moment, that didn’t sound so bad-

More ink puddles beneath her, the pool she’s laying in oozing into the cracks in the pavement, making a pink circuitry around her. Callie shuts her eyes, teeth gritted.

“I should see if I can get some recruit’s for dai-gurren before I actually purchase a building for it.. hmmm...”

“I don’t have a job either...so I guess I should start with that.”

He’s just gonna sit in his chair and watch from the window as Kamina destroys some televisions. He might join him soon.

The digger strolls into the living room, glancing at his soul brother “What’s the haps, bro----” He pauses when he looks at the tv.

A few moments pass and he goes over, picking up the remote and turning the TV off before sitting next to Kamina for a moment of silence.

“---We have to get out of this place.”
