When Phoenix and Mia exorcise Dahlia at the end of BttT her spirit's hair is red, which implies that either a) her hair is naturally that color, or b) a spirit's appearance is based off of what they looked like when they died. If it's option A, then that means that Dahlia and Iris aren't identical twins, Iris's hair is naturally red, or identical twins can have different hair color according to Ace Attorney genetics, and while all of those can be fun to explore I think they're a bit uninspired. Unfortunately, option B is a can of worms titled "hair dye imprints upon the soul in the Ace Attorney universe," and I'm not sure I want to open that

Everything I know about alchemy comes from, like, 15 minutes of research I just did (research being a pretty loose term here...), so take this with a healthy dose of salt, but the way that the OIAR's system works brings up so many questions in the context of alchemy

Like, the OIAR's four pillars of dread map onto the polarity of Strife and the four elements, but if that was intentional then is there a separate system that operates under the polarity of Love? Was that what the Response department was supposed to do? And, if so, why was the Response department shut down?

If there exists only Love or only Strife, then life ceases to be, so does the fact that the OIAR's system can only increase Strife mean that it's building into an apocalypse? Is the fact that so many of the casements have to do with love, especially love transforming into suffering, just a coincidence?

the problem with how people characterize narumitsu is that they only see them as the grumpy and the sunshine ship dynamic, so they end up writing phoenix as a golden retriever and miles as an old gay queen.
