Flowers in Siena!
Siena, a city in central Italy’s tuscany region, is distinguished by its medieval brick buildings. It was one of the most beautiful school field trips so far. In love with Italy!

School Field Trip: Siena, Italy!
After we finished our visit to Siena, we visited the Castello Vicchiomaggio. This castle is located at the top of a hill overlooking the valley of Greve in Chianti. We did a wine tasting and a tour of the castle. It was super fun and delicious wine!

Coming to an end!
It is the beginning of November and I am definitely in denial that my study abroad semester is coming to an end. It has gone by so quick and I do not want to leave. It has been an amazing experience and I have learned so much about myself and about the Italian culture. I still have one more month, so I will be taking advantage of every day!

Picture taken in Crete, Greece!
Missing the warmer days and fall break. Now that it is November, it is getting cold in Florence. Being from Puerto Rico definitely makes me appreciate the warmer weather. I am missing summer days and spending my time at the beach. Even though I do not want this semester to finish, I am happy to be going back to Puerto Rico to the warmer weather.

Never forget to take pictures everywhere you go!
I never leave my apartment without my camera. I have been enjoying every single place I visit and capturing every single memory. I cannot wait to go back home and share all of my pictures and stories with my friends and family.

This quote exemplifies my time abroad. Before coming to Italy, I had a huge list of all of the places I wanted to visit. Once I arrived and started studying, I realized it was impossible to go every single country and place I originally wanted. Even though I am not able to travel every weekend, I have been very fortunate to travel to 15 different places already. I am so lucky to be able to study abroad in Italy and experience a completely different culture. Life is not over after studying abroad and I will definitely continue to travel in my lifetime.

Olives, Olives & More Olives
After 5 hours of olive picking, we were exhausted. My aunt told me that last year they were able to make 17 liters of olive oil. We cannot wait to see how many we will make this year.

This picture reminded me of the importance of keeping a journal or a blog while studying abroad. This semester has been going so quickly and if I did not keep track of everything, I would probably forget with time everything I have been doing.
Take tons of pictures, write every day and save the memories for forever!

Dozza, Imola
This past weekend me and my roommates visited my cousin’s house in Dozza. We went olive picking with my cousins and aunt and learned all the work that is put into the making of olive oil. It was our second time in Dozza and we will be back before I leave Europe. The tractor shown in this picture was used to be able to pick all of the olives. Super fun!

Bali Beach in Crete, Greece!
Bali beach was one of my favorite beaches so far. We decided to go to Crete for fall break since it is not as touristy as other Greek islands. It was one of my favorite islands since it was so genuine. We were able to experience the amazing Greek culture and had a lot of fun. Definitely a place I will come back!
