Pokemon Winx Club AU

I was in a Pokemon mood because I'm rewatching Pokemon XY, so I decided to do my take on each of the Winx's Pokemon teams :3

Also bear in mind: Because the Winx are still teens and very new to being fairies, most of their Pokemon will be in their beginning evos. The older/more experienced they are, the more their Pokemon are evolved (unless I explain my reasoning otherwise)

Bloom: Fire and Dragon Type Main

Azurill is a stand-in for Kiko, because I hate that stupid rabbit

Bloom was found as a baby with Fennekin keeping her safe, and she bonded with Growlithe after she saved it from Icy's torment

Stella: Electric and Fairy Type Main (mostly teeny tiny adorable babies because it's Stella)

You cannot tell me that Stella wouldn't catch all the cute Pokemon and completely forget that she's supposed to use them to battle too

Ampharos has been with Stella since she was young, basically as her babysitter

Flora: Mostly Grass Type Main

Flora taking care of a Phantump lives rent-free in my head btw

Musa: A little bit of everything, just whoever vibes with her

Got Whismer as a gift from her mother, evolved in Loudred

Tecna: Psychic and Steel Type Main

Tecna gives me the vibe that she loves high defense Pokemon

Elgyem was Tecna's childhood best friend, because it also knew what it felt like to not quite belong

Layla: Water Type Main

A few of these Pokemon are probably native to Andros, so thats why most of them are animals (Tentacool, Clauncher, Wartortle, etc)

Parker: Ghost and Dark Type Main

In true Parker fashion, she says she doesn't give a shit about her Pokemon and is only interested in battling, meanwhile every one of these Pokemon were raised from their starter form

Yamask was her first Pokemon, having snuck into her bag after she stopped a band of tomb robbers, because she reminds it of someone it used to love when it was alive

Edward: Little bit of everything

Was given Corvisquire and Togepi as gifts when he was young, and they grew up with him. On the other hand, Magikarp was the first Pokemon he ever caught himself, and he kept training it and training it until it evolved into Gyarados

He met Gardevoir while on a mission for Malacoy Academy, and they bonded over their shared guardian nature

Valtor Romance Headcanons

----------

-If he can't play them in chess, regardless if he wins or loses, he doesn't want 'em

-SUPER over the top with romantic gestures (bouquets of roses with hidden meanings and messages, love letters galore, candlelit wine dinners, so on and so forth)

-Favors jewelry as a gift, and things he thinks his lover would look nice in (so basically a gift for himself as well as his paramour)

-Likes flirting, but loves good banter even more

-Wants someone he can chase, give him a challenge, or at least someone that doesn't throw themselves at him (cough cough the Trix cough cough)

-Enjoys the novelty of a power imbalance, but quickly gets tired of it

-Gets jealous, but not in a possessive mafia boss kind of way, but in a pouty attention whore kind of way

-Loves the idea of singing a ballad for his lover, and while his voice is pretty, he can't really hold a note for that long </3

-When he gets together with Palladium, he dedicates half his time to doting on him, and the other half being a complete menace to everyone who disapproves of their relationship (Mostly Parker and Faragonda)

-Says he doesn't want kids, but exhibits suspiciously fatherly behavior when it comes to the Trix and Bloom

-I interpret him as a vampire, soooo biting kink :]

-Pretends any relationship he's in at the moment is "just a fling", but in reality he would be devastated if they broke up with him

-Just--- Valtor being an overall menace

Guys i have figured out where exactly(-ish) HUNTR/X's penthouse is in Seoul.

Be warned, I'm about to go full Matpat on this one.

Also if I'm miserably wrong uh blame Google Maps--

So main thing that clued me into it was the fact that the girls' penthouse is south of Namsan Tower, as you can tell by the expanse of bare land and, most crucially, the orientation of the second tower next to Namsan.

The second smaller tower is a radio tower sitting west of Namsan, and the shot implies they're looking at the tower almost directly from the south of it.

But south where, exactly?

This river in the lower-right corner is the Han River :]

And I could be wrong but judging from the shape of the highway and the curve of the river in this little snippet, I think it might be Seongsu Bridge? Hard to tell since I can't see the highways that would be connecting to it every which way from here, but what matters is the penthouse is somewhere in northern Gangnam District, close enough to the river such that the entire thing can't really be seen in this pretty high extreme wide shot (plus the height of the topmost floor of their penthouse)

Gangnam District is pretty known for housing idols so it tracks :D

I know the girls are rich but [points at them with that pointing at the camera emoji that tumblr doesn't like] BOUGIE, BOUGIE AHH /aff

Liking bloom x valtor is one thing, but if you are gonna go out of your way to make it seem like it’s normal and unproblematic to ship a 18 year old with a centuries old man is actually fucking crazy. You cannot go off and ship an obviously problematic ship and get surprised when people don’t want to associate with you or dislike you completely for it, especially when many Blootor shippers use tactics that old stinky men use to justify them grooming freshly turned 18 year olds. Bloom being of LEGAL age does not change the fact her mentality compared to valtors are at completely two different stages of life, ship whatever the fuck you want but don’t try and enable grooming.
