Hello, I'm Wasim from Gaza, in Al-Mawasi specifically... My family and I were displaced from Rafah after hardship, bombing, displacement, and hunger.😭😔

Now we have been away from our city and our beautiful home for 9 months. We have lost our house that my father built stone by stone and he worked 24/7 to build this house. But the occupation destroyed it, and no house remained in my beautiful city remained intact.😭💔💔

We are now living in a tent or semi-tent, which does not protect us from the cold of winter or the rain. Our lives are very difficult.😔😭

Thanks to your donations, we have been able to buy food and flour, and now I am asking you for help to buy a tent that will protect us from the cold of winter. We do not know what it means to sleep because of the extreme cold.🥶

In this picture, my 19-month-old son, Hamoud, holds a small Christmas tree amidst the rubble that was once our home. His eyes, full of confusion and sorrow, are a reflection of all the children here who have never known peace. Christmas for Hamoud isn’t about celebration. It’s about survival.

Hamoud’s life is defined by hunger, fear, and cold. He deserves so much more. He deserves to play, to laugh, to have the warmth of a home, and the joy of childhood. But for now, he’s fighting for the basic things every child should have—food, safety, and warmth

My name is Nour from Palestine.

I live with my family in Gaza City.

A brutal war broke out and has not ended yet, turning everything there into death and destruction.

We lost our young son Ahmed, and my daughter Raghad was physically and psychologically injured, and my wife Samaher is also suffering from a difficult psychological condition, as are the rest of my children Mahmoud and Retaj.

There is no way to escape death, it is everywhere.

I do not know what fate awaits us now?

The birds have migrated from the smell of death that fills the place, and today my family and I fled after our house was destroyed and we became homeless and live in a tent in a deserted place and suffer from the bitter cold, hunger and disease. We are waiting for someone who has mercy and the ability to help us escape this death that surrounds us like a large grave without a ray. One dollar from you will be the reason for our escape to a safe place where we see... a ray of hope in life, a homeland where we enjoy permanent peace, freedom and the just right to which man belongs.

a really great organization that i don't see any posts about here is HEAL palestine. it was founded by steve sosebee, who was a founding president of the PCRF before leaving in late 2023 to refocus his efforts on heal palestine to better meet the needs of palestinians impacted by the genocide. the organization provides palestinians in gaza with food, clean water, shelters, "makeshift classrooms," and even medical evacuation for some children when it's possible--their services are pretty wide.

you can donate here if you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to an organization. also, i don't think any evacuations are possible right now, but if you're in the united states and you'd like to welcome medically evacuated children in the future, i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on social media so you can stay updated in case any children evacuated by HEAL come to your area for treatment. welcoming these kids at the airport is a really moving way to provide them with moral support, entirely for free.
