#I’m convinced a large part of the reason a lot of people hate cyclists and other non-car transport on the road is because#of how desensitized we are to bad drivers#when someone sees a cyclist do something dangerous or stupid#it’s still new#so when you see a cyclist do something dumb and dangerous it sticks in your mind more#we see insanely dangerous drivers everyday#but when a bike blows through a red light do you think you’re going to remember that as much as you’d remember a car doing the same thing?#cyclists should be held to the same expectation of safety on the road#but that means actually holding drivers accountable for their dangerous actions

Did anyone else notice the switch up on people’s views of mandatory conscription last week w what happened in Korea. It was so wild to see people saying “well of course the populace fought back so well bc they’re all military trained” and “the soldiers probably also don’t want to be there!!” when for months the same people been talking about how every individual in the Israeli military is actually evil incarnate and bc of mandatory conscription Israeli civilians don’t exist and should all be free targets to murder indiscriminately. Like ok, pick one maybe????
