I know a few people have said they’d be interested in a lil guide on how I did it (I don’t have a pattern bc I just decided to draw up the chart for it myself on a whim and then got committed) so I’m planning on writing that and sharing it soon, please let me know if you’d like to be tagged!
Anyway I don’t think I have anything else to say, I just had to share because I am OBSESSED with how this came outtttt I’m so happy
Legolas pretty quickly gets in the habit of venting about his travelling companions in Elvish, so long as Gandalf & Aragorn aren’t in earshot they’ll never know right?
Then about a week into their journey like
Legolas: *in Elvish, for approximately the 20th time* ugh fucking hobbits, so annoying
Frodo: *also in Elvish, deadpan* yeah we’re the worst
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing,”
That’s one of the first things Miraculous ladybug has taught us. And I am done doing nothing.
In almost a month, According to the ministry of health in Gaza, 10.000 civillians have been killed in Gaza. 4000 of those are children.
Parents have been writing their childrens name on them so that they’ll be easier to identify if they get killed. This child’s hand reads ‘ladybug’ in Arabic.
Finished my first cable knitting project! It's a practice swatch that's also the perfect size for a dish cloth for my grandma's birthday.
Tension is a bit janky, there's a miss-crossed cable on the border, and I had to rip it out like 3 times before it started making sense, but eventually I figured it out and I was able to fix my mistakes instead of tearing it all out. Overall I'm pretty proud of it.
The border and the Celtic knot pattern are from Celtic Cable Scarf by Vanessa Lewis and the ribbed cable pattern came from studioknit.
Shadow and Bone season 1 timeline (not to scale). First time I watched the show, it felt like Alina was only at the Little Palace a very short time - mostly because the Crow's story was happening later but being shown at the same time as Alina's story.
My ramblings rewatching Shadow and Bone season 2 as messages sent to my sister. I apparently had more to say about episode 8 than the rest of the season lol.
why is it so hard to find cool subtle demiromantic things? I'm demiromantic and asexual and so few shops sell pins for both. I want matching pins that aren't just straight up flags but most everything is either aro or ace or aroace, but so little demiro+ace
thinking about inej, who is actively dying, asking kaz for an apology. inej, whose native tongue leaves no room for triviality here. this isn’t “you were mean to me and you need to make nice,” it’s so much deeper.
this is “promise me you won’t treat me like a piece in your chess game again. promise me you won’t keep acting like i’m replaceable. promise me i’m not just another one of your investments.”
this is the first time we see inej holding kaz accountable, the first time we see her ask him to be more, to do better. this is the precursor to the “without armor” conversation. and i think it’s fitting that we never hear whether or not kaz did apologize. because at this point, i don’t think he’s ready to give inej what she’s really asking for here, and in a way, it’s best that she doesn’t hear him say the words. he’s not ready to mean them yet.
