was there ever an explanation for why 03 ed was isekai’d to germany? conqueror of shambala genuinely felt like a fever dream like bro wtf was happening

yeah it did feel like a fever dream when i watched it, but still enjoyable in a weird way.

the explanation was that “our world” is on the other side of the gate, essentially that both worlds coexist but the timelines split apart when one developed alchemy, and alchemy is fueled by lives lost on the other side of the gate. this twist was vaguely hinted at a couple of times iirc

ed was thrown over there when he tried to bring alphonse back at the end of 03. unsure Why exactly tho
